Super Circuits WIP5800N-WR User manual

1 WIP58xxN-WR_PQ
3. Open a web browser to the default IP address of the AP device https://192.168.2.66/. The login page will appear. :

4. Enter the default password, then press the Login button to enter the AP web management page. The default administrator login
settings are:
Login: admin
Password: admin01
After a successful administrator login you will see the main page of the device Web management interface. The device now is ready
for conguration setup.
5. Navigate to the Conguration | Network tab and choose the Bridge network mode. Keep the IP method set to Static IP and enter
the desired network address settings for the Access Point.

Step 1. Power on a WIP58xxN-WR Device
All WIP products operate on a proprietary PoE voltage using the PoE injector provided. The injector has two RJ-45 Ethernet ports for
connections. The PoE port is used to connect power to the WIP device. The LAN port is used to connect the WIP directly to an IP camera or
network switch.
1. Connect the 110 Vac power cord to the PoE Injector.
2. Connect a CAT5 cable to the PoE port on the injector and the RJ-45 port on the WIP device.
3. Connect a CAT5 cable to the LAN port on the PoE injector and the RJ-45 port on an IP camera or network switch (if multiple IP
cameras will be used on a single WIP wireless device).
Step 2. Setup the Initial Access Point
The default WIP58xxN-WR product address is 192.168.2.66.
1. To access the Web management interface, congure your PC with a static IP address on the 192.168.2.0 subnet. Use the subnet mask
255.255.255.0.
2. Connect the AP device in to the same physical network as your PC.

9. To ensure the transmission power of the wireless device is set for any environment, check on the Enable ATPC box. This will
automatically adjust the TX power of the device. Leave all other settings at the defaults shown.

10. Click Save & Apply at the top right of the screen.

If you changed from the default IP address of the unit, you will lose your connection to the device. To reconnect to the Access Point,
enter the new IP address of the Access Point into the address (URL) eld of the browser.
6. Navigate to the Conguration | Wireless tab, then select iPoll Access Point from the rst drop down menu.

7. Create the SSID for the wireless network. The default SSID, Deliberant, can be changed to any desired SSID name. Ensure the check box
is marked to Broadcast SSID. Leave the Channel width and Channel settings at the defaults shown below.

Channel Width and Channel selection can be changed if necessary to avoid interference in your installation environment.
8. Set the desired Security for the wireless network. The default setting is Open.

Options for Personal WPA and Personal WPA2 are available with AES encryption. If you selected one of these, create a Passphrase. The
Passphrase must be 8 characters long.

5. Match the Security settings of the Access Point you will connecting to. The default setting is Open.

Options for Personal WPA and Personal WPA2 are available with AES encryption. If you selected one of these, enter the matching
Passphrase.

7. Click Save & Apply at the top right of the screen.
Step 3. Setup the Initial Station
1. Repeat 1 – 3 from Step 2 above to log into the wireless device.
2. Navigate to the Conguration | Network tab, then choose the Bridge network mode. Keep the IP method set to Static IP, and enter
the desired network address settings for the Client Station. The IP address must be on the same subnet as the Access Point it will be
connecting to on the wireless network. For example, if the Access Point is set to 192.168.2.66, set the Station to 192.168.2.67.

3. Navigate to the Conguration | Wireless tab, then choose iPoll Station from the Wireless mode drop down menu.

4. If the Access Point is online, you can scan for the SSID of the wireless network by pointing the antenna of the station toward the Access
Point. If the Access Point in not online, manually enter in the SSID of the Access Point that the Station will be connecting to when
deployed. Ensure the Channel width setting matches the setting of the Access Point you are connecting to.

If you changed from the default IP address of the unit, you will lose connection to the device. To reconnect to the Station, enter the
new IP address of the Station into the address (URL) eld Setup of the browser.
Step 4. Setup Point to Multipoint (PTMP)
If you have a PTMP deployment, repeat Step 3 above for all Stations that will connect to the same Access Point. Each station must have a
static IP address on the same subnet as the Access Point, and all SSID and security settings must match the Access Point settings.
