TRANSPORTING AND LIFTING
Lavina machines have four anchoring points for strapping
during transportation. Make sure machine is securely
anchored, and grinding head cover is lowered down /
locked. Tighten the straps over non-moving parts, e.g.
machine chassis.
Lavina machines have two lift points. When lifting machine,
make sure the weights are in backwards position, and the
grinding head cover is raised /locked in transport position.
HANDLE ADJUSTMENT
or move roughly, lubrication is recommended.
Check your machine manual for lubricant type.
The machine is equipped with two locking

WEIGHTS
To move the weights, release the locking knob by
pulling it, and then release it to lock into the new
desired position.
The locking knob has a rest position. Pull it to unlock
and rotate to 90 degrees - in this position, the
weights are free to move.

To tilt the machine for tool changes, the weights
must be in position 4, and the knob must be in rest
position. Step on one of the weights in order to tilt the
machine easily.

Grinder is equipped with a Camlock fitting:
2.5" E250 on 25" machines
3" E300 on 30" machines
If working dry, connect a vacuum.

џConnect the red battery connector before starting
џOperate the engine at half throttle for approx. 2 min.
to properly warm engine. Then, advance to full throttle.
џOpen the service valve on the propane tank about
џSet the throttle lever to approx. 1/5 of its movement
џEngage Start/Stop switch for 5-6 sec. max, or until
the e n g in e fires. If this is e xceeded, s e ri ou s damage
will result, and the warranty may be void.
џCheck oil level & follow manual instructions.

STOPPING MACHINE
џTurn the Start/Stop Switch fully to the left to arrest the engine. Only in case of emergency, press the Emergency Stop

Stopping the machine must be done gradually.
џDisengage the clutch by pushing the clutch switch and return throttle to IDLE.
џWait 5-10 seconds.
џClose the service valve on the propane tank.
џDisconnect the battery to avoid battery drain.

USE ONLY VAPOR PROPANE TANKS. DO NOT FILL TANK OVER 80%.
When done working, store propane tank outside the building, in a secure place, away from heat or direct sunlight.
Using a LPG tank (used on forklifts) will prevent engine from starting and working properly, and result in damaging the
pressure regulator.
