Protective Equipment
Safety first
Recommendations
■Always use adequate personal protective equipment before doing anything on this unit.
■Technicians must wear the proper PPE in right way, including full body harness with two
hooks in the waist, safety cap, safety glasses and safety shoes.
■Disconnect the vehicle battery:--Remove the battery ground(-);Then disconnect the positive
battery(+).
■Check the grip brake of truck to ensure it being launched in safe.
■Pull out the key.
■Put safety tag on the steering wheel.
■Drain hose from the evaporator to the outside must have an angle to insure water to be
drained out.
■A descent of 100mm minimum must be applied between evaporator drain water hoses and the
hoses inside the body.

Before installation
1.Unpack the box contents in your warehouse.
KEEP THE DOCUMENT DELIVERED WITH THE
UNIT
2. Unpack the box
3. Check the box content corresponds to the bill of material on
the packaging.
■ Condenser
■ Evaporator
■ Mounting kit
■ Cab command
Note
In the event of abnormality (missing, damaged part or
part number etc), fill in the form “Advance warning, DOA,
Claim” and contact Kaixue Cold Chain

□Take care not to obstruct the air intakes on the
evaporator section and the ventilation ducts.
□For any mobile partition installation, contact our
Technical Department or refer to the attached chart.

3.Preparation before condenser and evaporator installation
Recommendations
Before box preparation and unit installation start,
protect the vehicle roof and the refrigeration box floor
(cover, cardboard…). And there should be the embedded
bracket inside the box.
Three installation ways:
■ Roof mount
■ Nose mount
■ Roof insert
Roof or roof insert mount:
1.Present the drilling template – not supplied - (refer to the
bodybuilder drawing).
2.Mark out the 4 fixing holes and the electrical harness and
hoses hole, and drill(φ10mm).
3.Install 4 shock absorber pad
■Put silicone to waterproof on the spacer inside the box.
■Put silicon to waterproof on the 4 screws outside the
box.
4.Drill a hole to pass hoses and harness.
Nose mount:
5.Present the drilling template – not supplied - (refer to the
bodybuilder drawing).
6.Mark out the 4 fixing holes and the electrical harness and
hoses hole, and drill(φ10mm).
7.Drill a hole to pass hoses and harness.

3.Preparation before condenser and evaporator installation
1.Present the drilling template – not supplied - (refer to the
bodybuilder drawing).
2.Leave a minimum space of 150 mm between the box
wall and the rear of the evaporator.
3.If needed, use the fixing material adapted to
reinforcement done by the bodybuilder.
If no fixing material adapted to reinforcement done by the
bodybuilder, please use bolts
1.Drill 4 holes φ10.5mm on roof top of the box from inside,
deepness 140mm at least.
2.Enlarge the hole with drill φ12.5mm
Attention:Never broken the φ5mm hole outside the box
3.From the outside of the box, punch the countersunk hole with
a φ22 mm round slot saw
Attention:Never broken the φ12.5mm hole outside the box
4.Measure the top height

5.Adjust the bolts suitable length(L=top thickness(E) - box
inside cover thickness(E’)), means L=E-E’

Bolts assemble
1.Put silicone inside the bolts
2.Put the bolts into the drilling hole
3.Gently press the silicone seal with a wooden hammer

3.1 Units installation
Condenser installation:
1.The edge of the template should be aligned with the edge
of the unit to ensure the accuracy.
2.The hole position must be clearly delineated(enter
position), ensures the accuracy of the template.
3.Find the center line immediately after the template is
removed from the unit, never make template rotate.
4.The center line of the box must be aligned with the
center line of the template.
5.Make sure the templates are parallel.
6.Never move the template when drawing the positioning
hole.
7.The unit is fixed with 4 holes(φ12)must be parallel.
Make sure the unit is installed parallel.

3.1 Units installation
Evaporator installation:
1.Remove the evaporator cover:
■ Remove the fixing screws
■ Remove the cover
2.Fix the evaporator in the middle of front wall
panel, tie the nuts when make sure it won’t be
inclined.
3.Tighten the screws.

4.Hoses and clamp installation
Hoses: Stocking
Recommendations
■ For a good functioning of refrigeration circuit,
refrigeration hoses must be clean and dry.
■ Hoses must be stocked in a dry area, with less
variation in temperature as possible and sheltered from
moisture.
■ The two ends MUST ABSOLUTELY been
blocked with tight caps to avoid any internal damages or
condensation until their connection into the circuit.
□To fit hoses and electrical harnesses, use as much as
possible RSGU clamps.
□To protect hoses and electrical harnesses, use adequate
rubber funnels to avoid cutting with metallic corners.

4.Hoses and clamp installation
Hose: Preparation
Shall use professional tool to cut pipe to make sure
the flatness
Knife cutting can’t make sure the pipe flat, second
operation will make inside dirty, also danger to hurt
Must check the O-ring if match with the hose fittings
before installation
Must put POE oil on the connector on fittings
When insert the fittings into the hose, please note if
the O-ring come out of the slot or is broken.(shall
replace new O-ring if there is a problem)
Please install the clamp in the center of the fittings
O-ring.(ensure the sealing performance and never
come out of the hose)

4.Hoses and clamp installation
Note: after the clamp is installed, both sides should
be symmetrical.(the pipe is pressed evenly and
beautiful on the hose fitting)
Should put POE oil on the fittings:
1、Can improve the sealing effect of O - ring
2、Can prevent the O-ring from being broken when
installation
3、Drier is last step for connecting, open time can be
over 1min

5.Refrigeration line, defrost drain hoses and electrical cables installation
Hoses: Mounting
1.Do not twist or curve the hose.
2.Keep enough length to avoid length variation when the
pipes are under pressure.
3.Pipes length can vary between -2% to +4%.
4.Using elbows and fittings make easier installations, assist
accessibility and increase hoses/pipes life.
5.Always insure that minimum radius is respected. Provide
a radius as big as possible to avoid constriction.

■Check O-ring if good, if not please replace with new one

Recommendation
■ Marks shall be made on the hot gas pipe line (at
both ends of the pipe) to avoid confusion with the liquid
pipe
■ The cap can only be removed before connecting
to reduce condensation in the pipe

5.Refrigeration line, defrost drain hoses and electrical cables installation
Unit: Refrigeration line
1.Connect the condenser, evaporator, compressor and
stand-by compressor to the corresponding ports as the
drawing.
2.The pipeline can’t be twined, use the strapping tape to fix
it tightly.
3.Use hose clamps to fix the pipes on the front wall to
avoid shaking. The strapping tape require 300mm, also can
increase elegant appearance.
4.The service valve should locate in a place which won’t
shake so can prevent leaking.
5.Ensure the pipe enough length on considering passing
the shaking engine.
6.Keep the pipes away from the engine exhaust pipe,
because the high engine temperature will make the pipes
early aging or burst. If have to pass, please ensure the
distance at least 250mm, also have to use a protection
rubber.
