POURING WATER
USING THE INFUSER
USING THE SPOUT FILTER
Lift the Kettle from the power base and then pour the water.
The Kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use.
NOTE:Ensure the lid is firmly closed. The water will spill if the lid is left open during boiling.
NOTE:Operate carefully when pouring the liquid from your Kettle as contact with boiling liquid
may result in burns.
NOTE:Ensure power supply is turnedoff when Kettle is not in use.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
Should you accidentally allow the Kettle to operate without water; the boil-dry protection will
automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the Kettle to cool before filling with cold water
and re-boiling.
Place the infuser into the kettle before starting the heating process. The round edge should face
forward (toward spout) and the flat edge will be in the back (toward handle). Secure Infuser into
holder within the Kettle to ensure it fits squarely. Using a spoon, carefully add tea leaves, loose tea
or tea bags to the tea infuser after the heating process is complete. Securely close the lid. Steep
tea according to tea instructions. Tea should steep an average of 4 minutes. Steepingtoo long
will cause the tea to become bitter.
Caution:Use extreme caution when adding tea to the tea infuser. The Kettle becomes very hot
during the boiling process. Avoid usingfingers or hands directly to add tea to the infuser.
The spout filter can be inserted into the spoutof the Kettle to filter out any tea leaves. To insert
the spout filter, open the lid of the Kettle, and place it in the spout from the inside ofthe Kettle. To
remove it, gently press down on the plastic tab holding it in place and it will release.
NOTE: Never attempt to insert or remove the spout filter while the Kettle is hot as burns can occur.
Always wait for the Kettle to fully cool before inserting or removing the spout filter. Make sure to
clean the spout filter at regular intervals.
