Cables management
The connection cables should not be accessible from the outside. It is
necessary to fasten the cables securely to the pole in order to prevent
excessive weight pulling them out accidentally.
You must use cables suited to the type of installation
Insert the cables into the support so that they protrude by about 50cm.

Connecting the base to the mounting arm or parapet mount
Do not make any changes or install connections that are not included in
this handbook. Failure to follow the connection instruction that are given
in the handbook may create serious safety hazards for people and for the
installation.
Do not change the wiring in the product as it is supplied to you. Failure to
follow this instruction may create serious safety hazards for people and
for the installation and will also invalidate warranty.
Keep a connection diagram for future reference.
If using the washer kit, the spray support should be installed before
positioning the pan & tilt and the wiring

5. Wiring Considerations
Power Cables
The TCAM2000 PT series only accepts 24VAC. In most cases Systems with
Intelligence will supply a junction box which converts the voltage level from
120VAC/240VAC to 24VAC. The gauge of the power cables should be chosen carefully
as long cable lengths could induce significant voltage drops due to the wire
resistance. Table 5-1 shows the resistance of some popular wire gauges for the CCTV
power cable.
Table 5-1 Wire Gauge vs. Resistance
AWG
Resistance per Km
18
20.95 Ohms
16
13.17 Ohms
14
8.29 Ohms
12
5.21 Ohms
When a junction box, as shown in section 4, is used other voltages may be supplied to
the junction box and they are then converted to 24VAC. The voltage levels supported
by the junction box will vary based on model.
6. Maintenance – General Recommendations
The TCAM2000 does not require a special maintenance, however regularly scheduled
maintenance prolongs the operational life and appearance of the camera. Part of this
maintenance should also include verifying that all mounting hardware is secure. When
needed clean the viewing window with a mild, nonabrasive detergent in water and a
soft cloth
