1. Press the "Play" button for 2 seconds to turn device on or off.
2. Press the "Mode" button for 2 seconds to switch between tuner and metronome mode.
3. When in Tuner mode press " or " to switch to "Guitar", "Bass", or "Chromatic" mode. When in Metronome mode press " or " to raise or lower the tempo.
4. Press the "~" button in tuner mode to flat or sharp the note. Press the "~" button in rhythm mode to shift between different types of beats
Take the battery cover off and install the
batteries according to the correct polarity.

Operation Interface and Display Sketch

Proper placement of the device is required for the tuner to pick-up the sound of your instrument. There are three methods of the tuner to pick up the sound.

(1) Under the guitar tuner or bass tuner mode press " or " to
activate the manual tuning mode.
(2) Then press " or " to select which string you are tuning: 1E, 2B,
3G, 4D, 5A, 6E (See bottom of the page). The number before the
letter refers to the string number so the 1E is the 1st string or the
bottom string, 2B is the 2nd string from the bottom, 3G is the 3rd string
from the bottom, and so on. (See the string sequence at the bottom)
(3) Pluck corresponding strings to the corresponding notes and tune
up or down until the tuning hand points to to the center. (See above)
Notice: When installing new strings, the neck of the bass or guitar will bend slightly due the tension of the new strings. The strings will also stretch in the
first few days. You will have to retune the guitar several times until the strings have fully adjusted to your guitar especially if you are using nylon strings.
Under guitar tuner or bass tuner mode, press " or " to activate
the manual tuning mode. Press "Play" to generate the tone. Then
press " or " again to sound out the other sounds of the string
sequence. Press "Play" again to stop the tone generation.
The first digit refers to the string number followed by the note in the
string sequence:
Guitar: 1E, 2B, 3G, 4D, 5A, 6E
4 string bass: 1G, 2D, 3A, 4E
6 string bass: HC, 1G, 2D, 3A, 4E, LB
The LCD shows that the tuner s focusing
on the 2nd string from the bottom (B string).
Press " or " to start "Manual" note
selection. For "Guitar" mode the notes
are: 6E, 5A, 4D, 3G, 2B, 1E .
The tuner shows that it is focusing on
the A note for the 3rd string (A string)
Press " or " to start "Manual" note
selection. For "Bass" mode the notes
are: LB, 4E, 3A, 2D, 1G, and HC.
Press the "Play" button to generate the
string that you have selected

Tuning by Ear Through Tone Generation
Manual Tuning method
"Auto" note selection is the default tuning mode when turning on the
tuner or switching from metronome mode. This mode automatically
identifies what note you are playing and indicates if you are too low (flat)
or too high (sharp).
(1) After properly positioning your tuner, simply pluck the guitar string
that you want to tune while muting the other strings. The tuner will
automatically pick-up the sound and identify what note you are playing
on the LCD screen.
The tuning hand will also show whether you are too high (sharp) or
too low (flat). See example below. Wind your strings tighter to raise the
pitch or loosen the strings to lower the pitch until the tuning hand points
to the center triangle of the screen.

until the tuning hand reaches the

(sharp) by 25hz. Loosen string
until the tuning hand reaches the

instrument is in tune. Move on to
the next string.

When in "Guitar" mode, press " or " to activate manual note selection mode to select between strings:
1E, 2B, 3G, 4D, 5A, 6E. Press "Mode" button to activate the tuner's automatic note selection.
Under "Guitar" tuning mode, press " or " to select which tone you want to generate (1E, 2B, 3G, 4D,
5A, 6E) . Press "Play" to generate a tone. Press "Play" again to stop the tone. Use the volume adjustment to
raise or lower the volume.

When in "Bass" tuning mode, press " or " to select which tone you want to generate (HC, 1G, 2D, 3A,
4E, LB). Press "Play" to generate a tone. Press "Play" again to stop the tone. High C (HC) and Low B (LB) are
only applicable for 5-string and 6-string bass guitars.
When in "bass" mode, press " or " to activate manual note selection mode to select between strings:
HC, 1G, 2D, 3A, 4E, LB. Press "mode" button to activate the tuner's automatic note selection.
Under "Guitar" tuning mode, press "~" button for a flat tuning. A symbol or will show on the LCD
screen. If the symbol is shows, the tuning is one half-step down (E , B , G , D , A , E ). If the symbol is
then the tuning is one whole step down (D, A, F, C, G, D).
Under "Guitar" tuning mode, press "~" button for a flat tuning. A symbol or will show on the LCD
screen. If the symbol is then the tuning is one half-step down (G , D , A , E , B , C ). If the symbol is
then the tuning is one whole step down (F, C, G, D, A, B)
Under Chromatic tuner mode press " or " to adjust the 'A4' frequency so that the pitch of the the 'A4'
can be adjusted accordingly. The European classical standard of A4 is 442 hz. The global standard of A4 is
440 hz.
When in Chromatic tuner mode, press "~" to select half-notes when tuning. The LCD will show (flat
tuning) or # (sharp tuning).
Tone
Generator
When in Chromatic tuner mode, press "Play" to generate a tone. Then you can press " or " to go up or
down the music scale. The range of notes that can be generated is 49 notes, the lowest note being A2 the
highest note being A6.
(1) After choosing the frequency that you want for the A4. Place
the tuner where it can easily pick-up the sound from your
instrument. Take note that it is recommended to keep the
frequency of A4 on the standard 440, However sometimes
classical instruments may use 442 as their A4 frequency.
(2) Pluck one of your strings that you want to tune. Tighten or
loosen strings until the tuner points its hand to the center.
(3) Take note that in chromatic tuning mode, it shows the
sequence number and the relevant pitch name (e.g. 2A, 3B).
Operation Method

Under the tuner mode, press "Mode" to switch between tuning modes (Guitar, Bass, and Chromatic). When you shift from one mode to another
the left arrow shift up or down correspondingly.

Under the tuner mode, press "Mode" for 2 seconds to shift to metronome mode.

Under the metronome mode, press "Mode" to select the time signiature. Range, 0(0/4),
1(1/4), 2(2/4), 3(3/4), 4(4/4), 5(5/8), 6(6/8), 7(7/8), 9(9/8).

Do not use ethanol, gasoline or other chemicals to clean the LCD screen or cover.
Do not drop the device or violently tap the cover of the LCD screen. These actions may cause
damage to the device.
Do not store the tuner in hot and humid areas.
Please check the polarity of the batteries before inserting them.
If anything unusual happens to the device, please take out and re-insert the batteries after 10
seconds.
Remove the batteries from the device if you won't use it for a long time
If the LCD is weak or unclear then please replace the batteries with a fresh pair. Dispose of
the batteries properly.
We suggest you use the clip-pickup or a direct line to your instrument in noisy areas.

Quarter Note (Crotchet)
A note that falls on every quarter of a measure.
8th Note (Quaver)
Fills a bar with 8 equal notes.
Syncopated 8th Note
An 8th note that is off-beat. It is very commonly used in jazz.
Triplets
Divides a beat in 3 equal notes. Commonly used in shuffle rhythms.
16th Note (Semiquaver)
Fills a bar with 16 equal notes

The upper number (see above) represents how many beats there are in a bar.
If the upper number is 4 then there are 4 beats in a whole bar.
The lower number represents the type of notes that fills the bar and is usually
interchangable with divisible numbers. If the lower number is 4 then 4 'quarter notes'
fill the bar. If the lower number is 8 then the 8 '8th notes' fill the bar. Generally 2, 4,
and 8 are interchangableand indicated a vertain type of feel for more experienced
musicians.
For example 2/4 is 2 quarter notes per bar. 3/4 is three quarter notes per bar.
5/8 is five 8th notes per bar.
