4.0 SERVICING
The Gel stools are made to require no servicing during their life. There are thus no specific readjustments of the apparatus
to be carried out at any time. If the stool is not used for some time, it is recommended to cover it in order to protect it
against dust.
WARNING
It is recommended to have any technical adjustment as well as any repair of the stool carried out by
specialized service technicians.
4.1 CLEANING
For a better and longer life of the stool it is necessary to execute methodically and periodically a general cleaning of the
stool. It is recommended to proceed as follows:
UPHOLSTERIES
The fabric covering the stool upholstery has to be wiped with the liquid in the bottle sold by the dealer, using a soft cloth
to avoid any surface-chap and to guarantee better elasticity and smoothness of the surface.
NOTE
As soon as the bottle liquid runs out, it is recommeded to order some more from the closest sales and
servicing center.
POLYURETHANE (PU) PARTS
The polyurethane parts have to be wiped with a cloth dipped in soap and water.
CAUTION
It is recommeded to avoid the use of any diluent, detergent or strong abrasive agent for eliminating
"difficult stains".
ALUMINUM PARTS
The aluminum parts have to be wiped with products especially sold for this kind of metal.
5.0 ACCESSORIES
Your dealer is at Your complete disposal for any information about functions and accessories which can be installed on
the stool, and which might not be described in this manual.
5.1 SELF-FRICTIONED AND NON-FRICTIONED CASTORS
The stools type Gel are supplied from the factory with non-frictioned castors, which guarantee the maximum freedom of
movement of the stool at any time.
On request, it is possible to mount self-frictioned castors on the stool. These castors allow the stool to run only when the
operator is correctly seated on the stool, in order to guarantee the maximum security and avoid the stool running away
from the operator during the sitting-action.
5.2 FOOTREST RING
At the moment of order all stools can be supplied with a footrest ring. The footrest ring favours the operator comfort,
allowing a more restful leg position.
5.3 MECHANISM HARDNESS ADJUSTMENT
On the front of the stool there is a knob which allows to adjust the hardness of the mechanism. Following the weight of the
operator, the heavier he is, the harder the mechanism shall be, to avoid its sudden movement.
To increase the rigidity, the knob shall be rotated conterclockwise (while sitting). To decrease it, the knob shall be rotated
clockwise.
