The Central Battery Unit and the battery housing can only be opened by a qualified electrician.
There is a dangerous voltage level in the output circuits, and inside the Central Battery Unit. Switching the main switch
to 0 position will NOT make the Central Battery Unit de-energized. The device must be made de-energized before any
maintenance or repair work!
DE-ENERGIZING THE CENTRAL BATTERY UNIT
TKT31 Central Battery Unit
1. Remove the battery fuses from the recharge unit XST0101 (see the image below for details).
2. Switch the main switch to 0, and disconnect the CBU from mains.
3. Disconnect the battery cables from the battery. The device is now de-energized.
TK23, TKT41, TKT65, TKT66, TKT67 and TKT68 Central Battery Units
1. Switch the battery fuse OFF.
2. Switch the main switch to 0, and disconnect the CBU from mains. The device is now de-energized.
RE-ENERGIZING THE CENTRAL BATTERY UNIT
After installing the spare part, re-energize the unit by following the de-energizing steps in reverse order.
