Transmitter (TX): The Transmitter converts the infrared
signals from your remote control into long-range RF (radio
frequency) signals that are sent to the Receiver. The LED
lights when the unit is powered and flashes during signal
transmission. The unit has a built-in antenna.
Receiver (RX): The Receiver converts the RF (radio
frequency) signals from the Transmitter back to the
infrared signals used to control your components. The unit
has a built-in antenna and a jack for an Infrared Extension.
The LED lights when the unit is powered and flashes during
signal transmission. The Receiver Unit can be placed up to
100 feet away from the Transmitter Unit.
Infrared Extension: The Infrared Extension can be used in
situations where the Receiver can not be placed in front of
the component(s) it is controlling. This device consists of 1
Infrared diode connected to a 10 ft. extension wire and plug.

System Contents
Your TERK LFIRX2 Remote Control Extender consists of two units
(Transmitter(TX) Receiver (RX)), an infrared extension, and two AC
adapters.

STEP 1:
Setting Up the Transmitter
Where to Use: Set up the Transmitter in the room where
you wish to use your remote control (example: use in the
additional room wired to receive a satellite signal from
your primary receiver).
How to Install:
1. Plug the Transmitter into a standard
electrical outlet.
2. Place the Transmitter on a level, stable
surface, with its remote sensor facing
you. In most cases, the unit can be
placed up to 18 feet from where you will
be using the remote control.
3. Place the Transmitter away from the
AUDIO/VIDEO equipment and the
Receiver (in another room, for example).

STEP 2:
Setting Up the Receiver
Where to Use: Use in the room where the AUDIO/VIDEO
equipment’s infrared sensor is located.
How to Install:
1. Plug the Receiver power cord into a
standard electrical outlet.
2. Point the Receiver's blaster window
toward the infrared remote sensor(s) on
the audio/video component.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the Receiver is
located within 18 feet of the components
you want to control. Make sure the
Receiver's blaster window is level or
slightly below the remote sensor(s) on your
components.
After setting up your Transmitter and Receiver, operate
the Signal Sender by aiming your remote at the remote
sensor on the front of the Transmitter.

STEP 3 (IF NECESSARY):
Setting Up the Infrared Extender
Where to Use:
• It is only necessary to use the Infrared Extender when
the Receiver cannot be easily placed in front of the
equipment. (Example: when the component is located in
a closed cabinet.)
• Use when you would prefer to conceal the Receiver in a
cabinet or behind furniture.
How to Use:
1. Plug the Infrared Extender into the EXTENDER JACK on
the back of the Receiver.
2. Place the Infrared Diode (located on the opposite
end of the extension cord) in clear view of the
component’s infrared sensor to enable successful signal
transmission.

Troubleshooting:
1. Make sure both units are plugged into a standard
electrical outlet.
2. If the LED light inside the Transmitter does not flash
when the Remote Control is operated:
• Make sure you are pointing at the front of the
Transmitter (the remote sensor is on the front).
• Make sure you are within 18 feet of the front of
the Transmitter (depending on the range of your
individual remote control, it may be necessary to
move closer to the Transmitter).
• Make sure nothing is blocking the path between the
remote and the Transmitter.
3. If your component does not respond when a remote
control is used, but the LED on the Receiver flashes:
• Make sure the Receiver is within 18 feet of your
component equipment
• Make sure the blaster window on the front of your
Receiver is pointing at the front of your component.
• Make sure there is a clear path between the Receiver
and your component.
4. If the LED light on the Transmitter flashes when you
operate the remote, but the LED on the Receiver does
not:
• Extend the antenna all the way up or move the
antenna to a different position for better reception.
• Make sure the Transmitter is no more than 100 feet
from the Receiver.

5. Move the Unit that appears not to be working to another
location and try it again.
6. Attach the Infrared Extender to the Receiver for
situations where there is an obstruction (TV Cabinet,
etc.) between the Receiver and the component

4. Si la luz LED en el Transmisor destella cuando usted
usa el control remoto, pero el LED en el Receptor no
destella:
• Extienda totalmente la antena hacia arriba o mueva
la antena a una posición diferente para mejorar la

Resolución de problemas:

PASO 3 (SI ES NECESARIO):
Instalación de la Extensión de Infrarrojos
Ubicación de uso:
• La Extensión de Infrarrojos sólo se debe usar cuando no se
pueda situar fácilmente el Receptor en frente del equipo.
(Por ejemplo: cuando el componente está situado en un
gabinete cerrado).
• Utilice la extensión de infrarrojos cuando usted quiera
ocultar el Receptor en un gabinete o detrás de un mueble.
Cómo usar:
1. Conecte la Extensión de Infrarrojos en el conector
(EXTENDER JACK) que está situado en la parte
posterior del Receptor.
2. Coloque el Diodo Infrarrojo (que está en el extremo
opuesto del cordón de extensión) a plena vista del

PASO 2:
Instalación del Receptor
Ubicación de uso: Utilice el Receptor en la habitación donde se

Cómo instalar:
1. Enchufe el cordón de alimentación del
Receptor en un tomacorriente eléctrico

infrarrojo en el componente(s) de audio/video.
IMPORTANTE: Asegúrese que el Receptor
esté situado a una distancia de 18 pies (5.5

Receptor esté nivelada o ligeramente por

PASO 1:
Instalación del Transmisor
Ubicación de uso: Instale el Transmisor en la habitación

Transmisor (TX): El Transmisor convierte las señales
infrarrojas provenientes de su control remoto en señales
de radiofrecuencia (RF) de largo alcance que se envían al
Receptor. El LED se ilumina cuando se enciende la unidad y

Servicing is required when the apparatus has been
damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or
plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects
have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been
exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally,

Care and Maintenance
• Always use a soft cloth to clean the speaker and transmitter. Never use any product containing alcohol or other solvents
as they may damage the surface.
• Use caution when plugging the power transformers in an AC outlet to avoid the risk of electric shock.
• If the speaker are used outside on a deck or patio, make sure you take them indoors in the event of a rainstorm to
prevent possible damage.
• Do not operate or store the system in extreme temperatures (below 32ºF/0ºC and above 122ºF/50ºC).
For PLUGGABLE EQUIPMENT, the socket-outlet shall
be installed near the equipment and shall be easily
accessible.
The power unit for this device should be plugged in so that
it stays vertical or lies flat.
The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or
splashing or placed near objects filled with liquids.

12 Month Limited Warranty
Voxx Accessories Corporation (the “Company”) warrants to the original retail purchaser of this product that should this product
or any part thereof, under normal use and conditions, be proven defective in material or workmanship within 12 months from the
date of original purchase, such defect(s) will be repaired or replaced with new or reconditioned product (at the Company’s option)
without charge for parts and repair labor.
To obtain repair or replacement within the terms of the warranty, the product is to be delivered with proof of warranty coverage
(e.g. dated bill of sale), specification of defect(s), transportation prepaid, to an approved warranty station. For the location of the

Esta garantía no aplica a ningún producto o pieza que, sea opinión de la compañía, haya sufrido daños debido a alteraciones,
instalación inadecuada, abuso, uso indebido, negligencia, accidente o exposición a la humedad. Esta garantía no aplica a daños
ocasionados por un adaptador de CA que no haya sido suministrado con el producto, o por dejar instaladas baterías no recargables
