Step 2-
Loosen set screw on side of
large nut inside canopy.
Step 1-
Turn off power to the junction box from the circuit breaker. Review the PENSI fan installation instructions (included
with your replacement kit) and follow steps in reverse to remove fan from ceiling.
Step 3-
Loosen large nut inside
canopy. Brace fan by holding
the down rod, not the canopy.
Step 4-
Remove canopy and outer
down rod assembly. Set aside
for reinstallation.
Step 5-
Remove cotter pin, washer and
stopper pin from inner down
rod connector. Set aside for
reinstallation.
Step 6-
Loosen TWO set screws on
side of inner down rod
connector.
Step 7-
Remove inner down rod and
set aside for reinstallation.
Step 8-
Insert screw driver through stopper pin
holes and loosen inner down rod
connector from fan body. It may be
necessary to use a wrench on the nut at
opposite end of the fan assembly (inside
center of rotor).

Step 9-
Remove inner down rod
connector. Set aside for
reinstallation.
Step 10-
Remove spring washer, flat
washer and motor housing.
Set aside for reinstallation.
Step 11-
Remove remaining washers
and spacer. Set aside for
reinstallation.
Step 12-
Remove insulation sleeve from
wires. Set aside for
reinstallation.
Step 13-
Remove the three screws
holding the internal
coupler/connector in place.
Step 14-
Remove coupler/connector.
Step 15-
Install reinforced replacement coupler/connector (marked “RNA-1” on underside). Reassemble fan by following all
above steps in reverse. At step (8), take special care to align reverse switch with with slot/opening in motor housing.
Step 16-
Reinstall fan on ceiling by following PENSI fan installation instructions (included with your replacement kit).
