The Phoenix Window Adapter is an easy to use and
convenient way to duct outside a structure through
most windows without the use of plywood or cardboard.
With its variable size openings and quick release cords, it
eliminates the need for tape to secure ducting to a window.

these instructions is essential to obtain maximum benefit
from your Phoenix Window Adapter.
Use caution when installing the Phoenix Adapter as it is
possible to cause damage to painted surfaces The zip
cords contain small parts which can be a choking hazard
with small children. Do not let children play with this
product.
The Phoenix Window Adapter, as with any temporary
enclosure, even when used properly, does not 100%
secure the window from intruders. Please take the
necessary precautions. Do not use this product for
any purpose or in any manner, other than that which is
described in this manual.
1 Intended Application
The Phoenix Window Adapter is an easy-to-use tool to
quickly utilize most double hung and sliding windows as
a portal to properly duct restoration equipment outside a
drying structure.
Its water resistant construction will assist in keeping
moisture from infiltrating in the case of rain.
Simply expand the adapter into the window guides, tighten
the set screw, and it is ready to use.

3 Operation
3.1 Installing Locking Feature
Slide the locking strap between the upper sash and the
lower sash (Fig. 1). Hook the metal part of the locking
strap underneath the upper sash (Fig. 2).
3.2 Installing the window adapter
Loosen the set screw on the lower part of the frame.
Collapse the frame to a size smaller than the window
opening. Fold the canvas material over the ends of the
frame and expand the frame so that the ends slide into
the window guides (Fig. 3). Tighten the set screw (do not
over tighten). For sliding windows, simply turn the window
adapter 90 degrees.

4 Maintenance
Periodically, lubricate the Phoenix Window Adapter frame
with a silicone based lubricant at the sliding rods.
Check the frame for burrs and the canvas for wear.
5 Washing Instructions
The canvas portion of the adapter can be machine washed
cold on the gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry!

Lower the window by hand so that it sits firmly on top of
the window adapter. Pass the other end of the locking
strap through the Ladder Loc on the window adapter and
tighten (Fig. 4).
3.3 Installing Duct
With the window adapter secure, grasp the slide lock on
the cinch cord, press the locking button, and slide the lock
to the end of the cord. Expand the opening of the window
adapter to the desired width. Pass the ducting through the
opening of the window adapter, and tighten the cord. The
cinch cord may be tightened completely if a portal is not
used (Fig. 5).

Who Is Covered: This warranty extends only to the original end-user of the Phoenix Window Adapter,
and may not be assigned or transferred.
Year One: Therma-Stor LLC warrants that, for one (1) year the Phoenix Window Adapter will operate
free from any defects in materials and workmanship, or Therma-Stor LLC will, at its option, repair or
replace the defective part(s), free of any charge.
End-User Responsibilities: Warranty service must be performed by a Servicer authorized by
Therma-Stor LLC. If the end-user is unable to locate or obtain warranty service from an authorized
Servicer, he should call Therma-Stor LLC at the above number and ask for the Therma-Stor Service
Department, which will then arrange for covered warranty service. Warranty service will be performed
during normal working hours.
The end-user must present proof of purchase (lease) upon request, by use of the warranty card or
other reasonable and reliable means. The end-user is responsible for normal care. This warranty
does not cover any defect, malfunction, etc. resulting from misuse, abuse, lack of normal care,
corrosion, freezing, tampering, modification, unauthorized or improper repair or installation, accident,
acts of nature or any other cause beyond Therma-Stor LLC’s reasonable control.
Limitation and Exclusions: If any Phoenix Window Adapter part is repaired or replaced, the new part
shall be warranted for only the remainder of the original warranty period applicable thereto (but all
warranty periods will be extended by the period of time, if any, that the Phoenix Window Adapter is out
of service while awaiting covered warranty service).
UPON THE EXPIRATION OF THE WRITTEN WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO THE PHOENIX WINDOW
ADAPTER OR ANY PART THEREOF, ALL OTHER WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY LAW, INCLUDING
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL ALSO EXPIRE. ALL
WARRANTIES MADE BY THERMA-STOR LLC ARE SET FORTH HEREIN, AND NO CLAIM MAY BE MADE
AGAINST THERMA-STOR LLC BASED ON ANY ORAL WARRANTY. IN NO EVENT SHALL THERMA-
STOR LLC, IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE, INSTALLATION, USE, REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
ANY PHOENIX WINDOW ADAPTER OR PART THEREOF BE LIABLE UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY FOR
ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WATER
DAMAGE (THE END-USER SHOULD TAKE PRECAUTIONS AGAINST SAME), LOST PROFITS, DELAY, OR
LOSS OF USE OR DAMAGE TO ANY REAL OR PERSONAL PROPERTY.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so one or both of these limitation
may not apply to you.
Legal Rights: This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which
vary from state to state.
