Commissioning and usage
Please visit us at www.tholin-audio.com or contact us by Email to support@tholin-audio.com for more information, help
with your questions and setting up.
Note: To ensure the amplifier vacuum tubes are not damaged during transport, they must be installed and connected after
receipt of the amplifier by the customer.
How do I set up the amplifier after receiving it?
1) Unpack the device and place it on a flat surface
2) Install the vacuum tubes in their sockets
• Small tubes at the front, large tubes in the rear sockets.
• The sockets only allow installation in a certain direction. Please make sure that the direction of
the tubes matches that of the socket and make sure that the connectors of the tubes are not
damaged when they are inserted into the sockets.
• Please proceed carefully and ideally wear gloves during installation to avoid dirt or oil/fat swab
on the tubes.
3) Connect the head-plugs onto the large rear tubes
• Please make sure that the connectors are placed in the middle of the contact, snap them into
place correctly. Ensure they are properly stuck after connection and cannot be removed easily.
4) Connect the speakers to the speaker terminals on the back of the device
5) Connect the power cord to the back of the device
6) Turn down the volume knob
7) Turn on the amplifier (power switch on the left front)
8) Connect the audio source via Bluetooth (see below) or RCA (e.g. CD player, smartphone, phono
preamplifier, ...)
9) Start playback on your audio source and slowly turn up the volume
Tholin-Audio®
7
How do I connect a Bluetooth device to the amplifier?
10) Turn down the volume control
11) Turn on the amplifier (power switch on the left front)
12) Stay in the range of ~10 meters and look for a new Bluetooth device "QCC3003" on your
phone/computer/device and connect (note: the Bluetooth device name may vary from product to
product)
13) Turn on Bluetooth on the amplifier (Bluetooth switch front right; RCA inputs are automatically
deactivated)
14) Start playback and turn the volume control up
Notes:
• Turn off Bluetooth first before turning off the amplifier, otherwise there may be unwanted noise
• Ideally, keep the volume of the audio device from which you playback music at the maximum level and
adjust the volume exclusively on the amplifier
• To connect another device via Bluetooth, the currently connected device must first terminate its
connection to the amplifier and thus "free up" the connection.
