2.1HardwareInstallation
Completetheceilinginstallationaccordingtothefollowingsteps:

Step1.Removeaceiling,putthemountingbracketinthecentraloftheceiling,markthree
openholelocationsofthemountingbracketontheceiling,thenfollowtheinstructionsofthe
directionofnetworkinterfaceonthemountingbracket,figureashadowzoneontheceiling,
marka10mmdiametercableholelocation;



Step2.Accordingtothelocationofthemarkontheceiling,drillthree4mmdiameterscrew
holesanda10mmdiametercablehole;

Step3.Asshowninthefigurebelow,fixthemountingbracketwiththenut,washerandpan
headscrewtotheceiling;




Step4.Threadthecablethroughthecablehole,thenfixtheceilingandpressthecrystalhead,
seebelow:

Step5.PlugthecabletotheAP’sLAN/POEport,alignthemountingbracketandAPinthe
directionofthecableinterfaceandindicator,makesurethattheshortbayonetisaligntothe
shortcardslot.Seebelow:

Step6.EmbedtheAPinthemountingbracket,andclockwiserotationuntilitfixed.

3.1SetupPC
SinceA10don’tassignIPaddressautomatically,you’rerequiredtosetupyourPC’sIPaddress
manually.ForPCorLaptopconnectedtotheA10wirelessly,pleasesetuptheWi‐Fiproperties
byfollowingsteps.
ForWindows10
1.ClickStart—ControlPanel—NetworkandInternet—NetworkConnection,right‐click
Wi‐Fi,andchooseProperties.

2. Double‐clickInternetProtocolVersion4(TCP/IPv4).




3.ChooseUsethefollowingIPaddress,inputtheIPaddressinthesamenetworksegment
withyourAP’sIPaddress.Bydefault,A10hastwoIPaddresses: 192.168.0.254and
169.254.0.254.ThepreviousoneisonlyusedwhenyourAPnotconnectedtoWi‐Firouter.
Sohereweinput169.254.0.254.Seebelow,thenclickOK‐‐OK. 


3.2ConnecttoAP
1.  Right‐clickWi‐Fi,clickConnect/Disconnect.





2.  ChooseTOTOLINKA10,thenclickConnect.

3.  Nopasswordrequiredbydefault,connectedsuccessfully.

1. Runanywebbrowser,typehttp://169.254.0.254inthewebbrowser,thenpressEnter.

2.  InputtheUserNameandPassword,thenclickLoginbutton(ThedefaultUsernameand
Passwordisadmin).

3.  NowyouhaveloggedintheAP’sinterface.

Ifyouhaveanyotherproblems,pleasecontactyourlocaldealer.

Note:
WhenyoufinishthesettingsforA10,DOREMEMBERtochangeyourPC’sfixedIPaddress
to“ObtainanIPaddressautomatically”.



TOTOLINKAC500isaWLANControllerthatusedtocentrallymanagetheconfigurationof
multipleA10.Ifyouneedtoinstallmorethan3ceilingmountAPs,werecommendyouuse
AC500tocentrallymanageallofthem.
4.1 WLANControllerConnection

1. ConnectAC500’stoPoESwitchorWirelessrouter’sLANport.
2. ConnectallAPstoPoEswitch’sRJ45port. 
3. ConnectyourPCtoAC500. 
4.2HowtoUseAC500
BeforelogintoAC500’sWebManagementInterface,pleasesetupyourPC’sIPaddressto
thesamenetworksegmentasAC500:192.168.0.253. 



1. Runanywebbrowser,typehttp://192.168.0.253inthewebbrowser,thenpressEnter.

2. Input the User Name and Password, then click LOGIN (The default User name and
Passwordareadmin).

3. Now you have logged into the AC500’s Web Management Interface. The first page AP
ScanallowsyoutobindallceilingmountAPstothisWLANcontroller.(Hereyoucanfind
thefinalGateway ofeachAP). 



4. ThenyoucancheckallAPs’workingstatusbyclickingAPStatus.
5. AlsoyoucancreatemultipleAPGroupstocentrallysetupandmanageAPs.OnlyAPsin
APGroupcanbemanagedunifiedly. 



6. TheAPExtraSettingallowsyoutosetuponeAPseparately.
7. APManagementisdesignedtoconfiguretheAPGroup’sunifiedsettings,including
rebootsetting,firmwaremanagement,loginpasswordanddefaultsettings.
