b. Generallypetsupto20poundswillfitcomfortablyintheMAXWickerbasket.
2. PleaseuseCaution!Theweightofthebasketandyourpetonthehandlebarswillchangethe
steeringandbrakingcharacteristicsofyourbicycle.
a. Werecommendafew“practice”rideswithaweight(closetoyourpetsweight)placed
insidethebasketsoyoucanbecomefamiliarwithbrakingandsteeringchanges.
3. Neverleaveyourpetunattendedinsidethebasket.Mostbicyclekickstandsarenotdesignedto
holdyourbikeuprightwithabasketandapetmountedonthehandlebars.

InstallingtheMountonyourhandlebars

1. Attachslidingsupportbarasshownabove(looselytightenbothscrews).
2. Placebothrubberbushings(seeabove)onhandlebars,cutedgeforwardandcentered.
a. Holdmountmainbodyupperclampsinpositionoverrubberbushings.
b. Place(1)galvanizedlowerclamptabinappropriaterearslot.
c. Installthethreadedboltforthegalvanizedlowerclampfromthetop,throughthe
holeintheupperclamp(snugbutnottight).Repeatforotherside.
3. Centerthemountclampsandrubberbushingsonthehandlebars.
4. Adjustangleofthemountbody(rotatemountclampassemblyonhandlebars).
a. Asyouadjustthemountangle,notetheanglefromlatchslottothehooks.
b. Thisanglefromthelatchslottothe(2)hookswilldeterminehowyourbasketwillsit
…matchingtheangleonthebackwallofthebasketwillmakeitsitlevel.
c. Onceyoufindyourdesiredangle,slidethesupportbarupuntilitcontactsthe
undersideofthehandlebarassembly.
5. Tightenall(4)screwsandtestfitthebaskettocheckiflevelorslightlyhighinfront.Loosen
andadjustasnecessarytoachieveyourdesiredbasketposition.

Locking(Latching)yourPet‐Pilotonthemount

1. PositionbothMountHooksunderthehorizontalsupportbar(inopeningonrearofbasket).
a. WickerMAX–ensure4verticalwiresbetweenhooks
2. Lockthebaskettothemount
a. InserttheLatchHook(inStep‐1)locatedonthebaskethandle,withthehandle
straightup.
b. Giveaslightsqueezetoensurethelatchisfullythroughthelatchslot.
3. Rotatehandledown(Step‐2)tocloseandlockthebaskettothemount.






1. Unbuckleall4straps
2. Placethewiretopsnuglyinsidethebasket(aboutaninchbelowthebasketrim)andthen
wrapthe(4)strapsoverthebottomwirerim…re‐buckletosecure.
3. Sunshadeisheldinplacewith4velcrostrips.Thismayberemovedatyourdiscretion. 


WARNING!–WithanycargoloadedinthePet‐Pilot®,theadditionalweightonthehandlebarswill
affectsteeringandbraking‐pleaseusecaution!Travelin’K9isnotliableforanydamagecausedby
aggressive,destructive,immatureoruntrainedpets;additionally,Travelin’K9isnotliablefordamage
orinjurycausedbyabicycleoperatorslossofbalancecausedbytheadditionalweightofthemounted
basketand/orapetinthebasket,orimpropermountinstallation.
 Notintendedforlonglegged(Tall)pets.ThePet‐Pilothasbeendesignedtosupportsmaller,
non‐aggressivepets.NeverleaveyourpetunattendedinthePet‐Pilot.
