2. PleaseuseCaution!Theweightofthebasketandyourpetonthehandlebarswillchangethe
steeringandbrakingcharacteristicsofyourbicycle.
a. Werecommendafew“practice”rideswithaweight(closetoyourpetsweight)placed
insidethebasketsoyoucanbecomefamiliarwithbrakingandsteeringchanges.
3. Neverleaveyourpetunattendedinsidethebasket.Mostbicyclekickstandsarenotdesignedto
holdyourbikeuprightwithabasketandapetmountedonthehandlebars.
4. YourPet‐Pilot®Wickercanbecleanedbyvacuumingtheinteriorandusingasoftbristledbrush
ontheexteriortoremovedrieddirt,followedbylightcleaningwithadampclothandaquick
rinse.
5. DonotattachSafetyLeashtoyourpet’scollar–ONLYattachtoaharnessfittedforyourpet.


InstallingtheMountonyourhandlebars:  

1. Attachslidingsupportbarasshownabove(looselytightenbothscrews).
2. Placerubberbushings(orrubberstrips)onhandlebarswithopenendbyscrew.
a. Holdmountmainbodyupperclampsinpositionoverrubberbushings.
b. Place(1)galvanizedlowerclamptabinappropriaterearslot.
c. Installthethreadedboltforthegalvanizedlowerclampfromthetop,throughtheholein
theupperclamp(snugbutnottight).Repeatforotherside.
3. Centerandadjustthemountclampsandrubberbushingsonthehandlebars.
a. Determinetheproperangleforthemountbodyandadjustaccordingly(seeb&cbelow).
b. Theanglefromthelatchslottothe(2)hookswilldeterminehowyourbasketwillsitonthe
mount.(topofbasketshouldbelevelorslightlyhighinfront).
c. Onceyoufindyourdesiredangle,slidethesupportbarupuntilitcontactsthehandlebar
assemblyorframe.UsetheoptionalSpacerTubeifthesupportbaristooshort.
4. Tightenall(4)screwsandtestfitthebaskettocheckiflevelorslightlyhighinfront.Loosenand
adjustasnecessarytoachieveyourdesiredbasketposition.

1. PositionbothMountHooksunderthedoublehorizontalwiresupportbar(inopeningonrearof
basket).Therewillbe4verticalwiresbetweenhooksasshownbelow.






2. Lockthebaskettothemountbyfirstliftingthepaddedhandletotheuprightposition.
a. InserttheLatchHook(inStep‐1,secondimagebelow)locatedattheendofthebasket
handle.
b. Giveaslightsqueeze(baskettomount)toensurethelatchisfullythroughthelatchslot.
3. Rotatehandledowntooriginalposition(Step‐2,secondimagebelow)tocloseandlockthe
baskettothemount.








NOTE:Wepersonallytestfiteverybasket&mounttogetherprior
toshippingtoensureproperBaskettoMountconnection.


1. Unbuckleall4straps
2. Placethewiretopsnuglyinsidethebasket(aboutaninchbelowthetopbasketrim)and
thenwrapthe(4)strapsoverthebottomwirerim…re‐buckletosecure.
3. Sunshadeisheldinplacewith4Velcrostrips.Thismayberemovedatyourdiscretion. 


Function:Whendetachingthebasketfromthemountthishandlebarsafetystrapcan
helppreventdroppingthebasketduringremoval.Thesafetystrapisaddedassurance
