1. Introduction
The Tributaries HX1C6 HDMI 1.3 Transmitter (Tx) and Receiver (Rx) is a system
designed to extend an HDMI signal over a long distance without loss. Using the
same electronics as the original HXC6IR but sacrificing CEC and IR control; the
HX1C6 is able to send an uncompressed HDMI signal over 1 CAT6 cable. The
HX1C6 will transfer Deep Color (12 bits/color) video and new lossless compressed
(Dolby® TrueHD, Dolby® Digital Plus and DTS®-HD Master Audio) digital audio,
with a bandwidth up to 225MHz (6.75Gbps).

• Extends 12 bit color 1080p resolution up to 10 meters over single CAT6
Supports input/output HDMI cables up to 10 meters
• Extends 8 bit color 1080p resolution up to 45 meters over single CAT6
Supports input/output HDMI cables up to 15 meters
• Compliant with HDMI 1.3, HDCP 1.1 and DVI1.1 standards
• Supports digital video formats in Deep Color Mode at up to 36 bits (12bits/color)
• Supports new lossless compressed (Dolby® TrueHD, Dolby® Digital Plus and DTS®-
HD Master Audio) digital audio
• Supports one CAT-6 cable for data/DDC transmission
• Equalization and recovery of incoming TMDS data signal prior to re-transmitting.

4. Operation Controls and Functions
Transmitter Unit
Receiver Unit
HDMI INPUT: Connect to the HDMI output of your source equipments such as
a DVD player or Set-top-box with an HDMI cable.
DC 5V: Connect the 5V DC power supply to the HX1C6.
Then connect the adaptor to an AC wall outlet.
EDID Switch: default setting is TV, leave as is when display is working properly.
Switch to EDID to use the HX1C6 built-in EDID which supports PCM 2CH audio
and 1080p 8-bit, 10-bit or 12-bit video.
EDID selection will activate only after unit is unplugged and plugged back in.
CAT6 OUT: Connect the CAT6 output of the transmitter to the CAT6 input of
the receiver
DC 5V: Connect the 5V DC power supply to the HX1C6.
Then connect the adaptor to an AC wall outlet.
HDMI OUTPUT: Connect the HDMI input of your display, or to extend the
signal distance, cascade to another HX1C6 transmitter.
CAT6 IN: Connect the CAT6 output of the transmitter to the CAT6 input of the
receiver
NOTE:
A. The system has been pre-tested with CAT-6/23AWG/solid core cabling. Using cables of
another type may result in a different operating distance.
B. Figures provided in this manual are for reference only. Actual performance will depend
upon the source and display used along with the type of cable and the integrity of the cable/
connector termination
