INTRODUCTION
Trijicon HD™Binoculars are premium quality, high performance optical instruments
that are considered to be among the finest in the world. The optical system consists of a sealed
doublet objective lens, a moveable focusing element, fixed diverging lenses, a prismatic reversing
system and the eyepiece. The moveable elements allow for dioptric correction and focusing to infinite
distances. The prismatic system utilized in the Trijicon HD™Binoculars combines two different roof
prism designs, a half-pentagonal and Schmidt, to provide maximum optical performance for the user.
Through the use of only the highest quality materials, state of the art manufacturing processes and
stringent quality control, Trijicon HD™Binoculars are designed to provide the user with a lifetime of
dependable, reliable, superior optical performance.
CAUTION
Never look directly into the sun with the binocular! Viewing the sun directly with the binocular
can cause permanent eye damage!
CAUTION
Remove ALL foreign material from the lens before cleaning them. This will prevent damage to the
lens. See page 18 for more details.
CAUTION
DO NOT allow harsh organic chemicals such as acetone, trichloroethane, or other cleaning
solvents to come in contact with a Trijicon®product. They will affect the appearance, but not the
performance. Repair or maintenance other than that described in this manual is prohibited by
anyone other than the manufacturer.

Twist each Eye Cup in a counter-clockwise direction (Figure 5) to raise the Eye Cup to the “up” posi-
tion (Figure 6). Users who wear eyeglasses may keep the Eye Cups in the “down” position.
CAUTION: Never look directly into the sun with the binocular! Viewing the sun directly with the
binocular can cause permanent eye damage!
First, set the proper interpupillary distance for
your eyes (Figure 4), allowing for a comfortable
viewing position with a full field of view.
Trijicon HD™Binoculars feature adjustable
Twist Up Eye Cups that accommodate all users.
If you do not wear eyeglasses you should have
the Eye Cups in the extended or “up” position.

Adjusting the Diopter
Trijicon HD™Binoculars feature a manually adjustable diopter setting, allowing users to compensate
for focusing imbalances between each eye. This type of adjustment allows users to experience one
crisp, clear image and virtually eliminates eyestrain.
1. Cover the right Objective Lens (A) and use the Center Focus Wheel (B) to obtain sharp focus using
only the left optical system of the binocular. Focus on an object that is approximately 60 feet away
(Figure 7).
2. Cover the left Objective Lens (A) and fine tune the focus of the binocular’s right optical system by
using the Diopter Adjustment Ring (B), while looking at the same object (Figure 8).
Important: Do not move the center focus wheel during this step.

Please note that it is extremely important to focus each optical system of the binocular on the same
object, at the same distance, in order to obtain the proper adjustment for your eyes.
If done correctly, when you look through the binocular with both eyes open, the image will be very
clear and sharp. Once these initial adjustments have been made to your binocular, you can focus on
any object, regardless of distance, by simply adjusting the large focus wheel only.
Handling Recommendations:
* Do not drop the binocular!
* Avoid impacts with hard objects
* Do not place heavy objects on the binocular
* Do not sit on the binocular
* Keep lens covers in place when the binocular is not in use

Tripod Adaptability
If you plan on observing for an extended period
of time, Trijicon HD™Binoculars can be mounted
to a tripod using a commercially available tripod
adapter (not included), which is connected via the
Tripod Threaded Insert. This is located under the
Trijicon®cap on the front of the binocular. Use
of a tripod greatly increases image stability and
relieves strain on your arms, neck, shoulders and
back.

CLEANING & GENERAL CARE
General Information
The Trijicon HD™Binocular is a high performance optical instrument that is both waterproof and fog-
proof. It requires careful handling and cleaning to protect the high performance optical surfaces.
Trijicon HD™Binoculars are supplied with rubber objective lens and ocular covers. When the binocular
is not in use, protect the optical surfaces by keeping the lens covers on the binocular.
Dust and debris that becomes deposited on the body of the binocular should be removed with a fine,
damp cloth. Dust and debris that becomes deposited on the optical surfaces should first be removed
by blowing away the heaviest deposits, and then lightly wiping the surface of the lens with an anti-
static cloth that has been dampened with a quality lens cleaning solution.
CLEANING & GENERAL CARE
If the binocular is used in wet weather, it is
recommended to dry the binocular and lens surfaces
with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
Each Trijicon HD™Binocular is supplied with an Ocular
Lens Cover and Objective Lens Covers. Please cover
lenses as shown when binocular is not in use.
The Objective Lens Covers are tethered by a flexible
rubber ring which attaches to each binocular barrel.

The original owner of the Trijicon®product registered with the warranty card is entitled to repair
or replacement (at our option) of the registered item if it should fail due to defects in material or
workmanship during normal use. This warranty specially applies to the optical systems and metal
structure of the product. If repair is necessary, please contact our Customer Service Department for
return instructions. This warranty does not apply to defects caused by anything which is deemed
abnormal, abusive, or improper including any fault resulting from an accident or improper service.
Please note that the manufactures warranty will be void and the product cannot be serviced if it is
exported from the United States in violation of U.S. Export Control Laws and Regulations. Any attempt
at disassembly or repair will annul this warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you
may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
