Dear customer,
Congratulations on purchasing a high quality MAGINON
product.
You have chosen a modern Night Vision Device with excellent
technical equipment and respective accessory, which is
particularly easy to operate.
The device comes with a 3 year warranty. In case of a defect
in the Night Vision Device, you require the enclosed warranty
card and proof of purchase. Keep these in a safe place.

General information
Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this Night Vision
Device (hereafter referred to as the Night Vision
Device), and contains important information on
setup and handling.
Before using the Night Vision Device, read the user manual
carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions.
Failure to do so may result in personal injury or damage to the
Night Vision Device.
The user manual is based on the standards and rules in force
in the European Union. When abroad, you must also observe
country-specific guidelines and laws.
Store the user manual for further use. Make sure to include
this user manual when passing the Night Vision Device on to
third parties.

The following symbols and signal words are used in this user
manual.
DANGER!
This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with a high
degree of risk, which will result in death or severe injury if not
avoided.

Proper use
The Night Vision Device is exclusively designed for Night
Vision Device. It is only intended for private use and not
suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the Night Vision Device as described in this user
manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result
in damage to property or persons.
The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damages
or injury incurred through improper or incorrect use.
Safety instructions
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
A faulty electrical installation, excessive voltage, or incorrect
operation may result in an electric shock.
− Only insert the batteries of the Night Vision Device if the
voltage corresponds to the data on the rating plate.
− Do not use the Night Vision Device if it is damaged or
defective.
− If the Night Vision Device is damaged, the manufacturer,
the customer service team or a person with similar
qualifications must replace it to avoid risks.
− Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified
professional perform repairs. Contact a qualified
workshop for this. Liability and warranty claims are waived
in the event of repairs performed by the user, improper
connection or incorrect operation.

− Only parts that comply with the original device data
may be used for repairs. This device contains electrical
and mechanical parts which are essential for providing
protection against sources of danger.
− Do not immerse the Night Vision Device in water or other
liquids.
− Never touch the Night Vision Device with wet or damp
hands.
− Keep the Night Vision Device away from open flames and
hot surfaces.
− Do not use the Night Vision Device in damp rooms or in the
rain.
− Do not place the Night Vision Device such that there is a
risk of it falling into a tub or sink.
− Ensure that children not push objects into the housing of
the Night Vision Device.
− Never reach to retrieve an electrical device if it has fallen
into water.
− Never insert any objects into the housing of the Night
Vision Device.
− Always switch the Night Vision Device off when you are not
using it, when you intend to clean it, or in the event of a
malfunction.
− Insert the batteries observing the correct polarity (+/-).
Failure to properly align the battery polarity can cause
personal injury and/or property damage.

Danger for children and persons with impaired physical,
sensory or mental capacities (e.g. partially disabled
persons, older persons with reduced physical and mental
capacities), or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g.
older children).
− If they are supervised or have been instructed on how to
safely use the Night Vision Device and have understood
the risks associated with operating it, this Night Vision
Device may be used by children ages eight and over as
well as persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental
capacities, or those lacking experience and knowledge.
Children may not play with the Night Vision Device.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed
by unsupervised children.
− Keep children under the age of eight away from the Night
Vision Device and batteries.
− Do not leave the Night Vision Device unattended while in use.
− Make sure that children do not play with the plastic
wrapping. They may get caught in it when playing and
suffocate.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the Night Vision Device may result in
damage to the Night Vision Device.
− Place the Night Vision Device on an easily accessible, level,
dry, heat-resistant and sufficiently stable work surface. Do

not place the Night Vision Device on the edge of the work
surface.
− Never place the Night Vision Device on or near hot surfaces
(e.g. stovetops, etc.).
− Ensure that the Night Vision Device does not come into
contact with hot parts.
− Never expose the Night Vision Device to high temperatures
(heaters etc.) or to the effects of the weather (rain etc.).
− Never fill the Night Vision Device with liquid.
− Never attempt to clean the Night Vision Device by immersing
it in water and do not use a steam cleaner to clean it.
Otherwise, you could damage the Night Vision Device.
− Never place the Night Vision Device in the dishwasher.
They would be destroyed as a result.
− Stop using the Night Vision Device if its plastic parts exhibit
cracks or breaks or are deformed. Only replace damaged
parts with corresponding original spare parts.
− Keep batteries away from children and pets.
− Clean battery contacts and contacts of the Night Vision
Device prior to inserting battery.
WARNING!
Danger of explosion!
In case of incorrect replacement of battery. Only replace with
same or equivalent battery.
− Remove old or discharged batteries from the Night Vision
Device.
− Remove the batteries when the Night Vision Device will not
be used for extended periods of time to prevent damage
due to rusted or corroded batteries.

− Never throw batteries into a fire, do not expose batteries
to fire or other heat sources.
− Keep children away from batteries. If you suspect a battery
has been swallowed, seek immediate medical assistance.
− Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety, usage and
disposal instructions.
− The batteries may not be exposed to excessive heat, fire or
similar.
− When not using or cleaning the Night Vision Device or in
case of a fault, always switch off the Night Vision Device
and remove the batteries.
− Never touch leaking batteries without respective
protection. In case of contact with skin, wash the area with
plenty of soap and water.
− Avoid battery acid coming into contact with your eyes. In
case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes with plenty of water
and contact a doctor immediately.
− Keep children under the age of eight away from the Night
Vision Device and the accessories.
− Always use the correct size and type of batteries, best
suited for the intended purpose. Store information about
correct batteries contained in the operating instructions of
devices for future reference.
− Battery Disposal: Old or discharged batteries must be
properly disposed of and recycled in compliance with all
applicable laws. For detailed information, contact your
local solid waste authority.

Checking the package contents
WARNING!
Danger of suffocation!
Keep plastic foil and bags away from babies and small children
as danger of suffocation.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a
sharp knife or other pointed object, you may quickly damage
the Night Vision Device.
− For this reason, be very careful when opening it.
1. Check to make sure that all components and accessories
have been received (see fig. A).
2. Take the Night Vision Device out of the packaging and
check whether it or any of the individual parts are
damaged. If this is the case, do not use the Night Vision
Device. Contact the manufacturer via the service address
indicated on the warranty card.
Basic cleaning
• Remove the packaging material and all plastic wrappings.
• Clean all parts of the Night Vision Device before first use as
described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Insert batteries
1. Open the battery covers 13 .
2. Install the 8 AA batteries – 4 in each compartment and
ensure correct polarity of the batteries.
3. After inserting the batteries, close the battery covers 13
again.
Button settings
− Power: Press the Power Button 10 to switch the Night
Vision Device ON and OFF.
− IR: Press the IR button 9for 7 levels of brightness
(0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7->0) when using the Night Vision Device at
night.
− Zoom: Press Zoom button 11 to zoom in at multiple levels.
The maximum zoom is 2x. Once reaching 2x, keep pressing
Zoom again to go back to 1x.
− Protection Lid: The Protection lid 7must be removed for
night use.

− Strap Hook: Assemble the Carrying Strap on the Strap
Hooks on the left and right of the Night Vision Device 1.
Make sure the Strap is assembled properly before using it
for the first time.
− Focus Wheel: To adjust the sharpness of the picture on the
LCD-Screen turn slowly the focus wheel 12 on the front
bottom side of the Night Vision Device.
− Tripod Holder: The tripod thread 14 on the bottom side
of the Night Vision Device allows you to mount the Night
Vision Device on a Tripod with a common 1/4“ Screw to use
the device hands fee.
Lid use on day & night
1. For day use, the lens is covered with the lid. For night use,
take off the lid.
2. Long press the Power button 10 to turn on the Night Vision
device. When the Night Vision is switched on, look through
the Eyepiece to see the scene displayed on the LCD Screen.

3. If the picture on the LCD Screen is blurred adjust the
sharpnes by turning slowly the focus wheel 12 at the
front bottom of the Night Vision Device. See the following
picture.
4. For night use, turn on the IR by pressing the IR button 9.
Increase the brightness by pressing the button repeatedly.
It has 7 levels of brightness (0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7->0)
The IR Light will be adjusted to increase the
range for the Night view. It will not adjust the
brightness of the picture on the LCD Screen.
6. Long press of the Power button 10 will turn off the Night
Vision Device.
Avoid aiming your night vision device at strong
sources of light like the sun. Your eyes may be
injured or the device damaged.

Press the Zoom button 11 to zoom in at multiple levels up to
2X. Once reaching 2X, keep pressing to go back to 1X.

WARNING!
Burn hazard!
The Night Vision Device will get hot during operation and may
cause burns!
− Let the Night Vision Device cool off completely before each
cleaning!
NOTICE!
Risk of short circuit!
Water that has penetrated the housing may cause a short circuit.
− Make sure that no water penetrates the housing.
− Never immerse the Night Vision Device in water.

Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the Night Vision Device may result in
damage.
− Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or
nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such
as knives, hard scrapers and the like.
They could damage the surfaces.
− Do not put the Night Vision Device in the dishwasher, as
this will destroy it.
1. Remove the batteries of the Night Vision Device before
cleaning.
2. Let the Night Vision Device cool off completely.
3. Use a damp cloth to wipe off the Night Vision Device. Then
let all parts dry completely.
