Using the Red Steam Express
QUICK GUIDE
1. Attach your chosen brush accessory to the iron.
2. Ensure that the Temperature Control Dial is set
to “MAX” (while using steam, low temperature might
cause leakage).
3. Ensure that the Continuous Steam Knob is off (water
can leak if the Continuous Steam Knob is on before
the Unit has nished heating). NOTE: The Continuous
Steam Knob should always be off when the Unit
is not in use.
4. Open the Fill Cover and use the Beaker to pour tap
water into the water tank until the max ll line
has been reached. Do not ll the appliance directly
from the faucet. Close the ll cover.
5. Connect the power cord to a power outlet and rest
the Unit on the Stand. The Indicator Light will turn
red. Allow 2 mins. for the Unit to heat up. When
the Unit is ready to use, the light will turn green.
6. Set the Temperature Control Dial to the desired
setting, push the Continuous Steam Knob on,
and begin ironing. Use the Steam Trigger for burst
steam ironing. The Temperature Control Dial must
be set to MAX when using the Steam Trigger.
Do not press the Steam Trigger more than once
every 2 secs.
7. Empty the water tank after each use.
Small Rattling Sound
The Unit contains a metal bead that controls water ow during steam
production. This bead sometimes makes a rattling sound. This sound does
not indicate that the machine is broken.
Red Indicator Light Do not press the Steam Trigger when the Indicator Light is red. Pressing
the Steam Trigger when the Ready Indicator is red might cause water leaks.
Green Indicator Light When the Indicator Light is green, the Unit is ready for steaming.
Press the Steam Trigger in 2-sec. intervals for powerful steaming.
Water Drop Splashes
or Water Leaks from
the Machine
Water can leak if the Unit is not fully heated, so be sure to heat the machine
fully before use. Always spray steam with the Temperature Control Dial set
to MAX. Water can also leak if the Steam Trigger is pressed too often, so do
not press the Steam Trigger more than once every 2 secs.
Continuous Steam
Knob
Turning the Continuous Steam Knob on enables the continuous steam function. While using the steam burst
function, steam will be continuously sprayed through the steam outlet. Excessive ironing while using the steam
burst function can damage clothing. After using the continuous steam function, turn the Continuous Steam Knob
off to prevent water leakage.
Burst Steam Trigger
Press the Steam Trigger to use the burst steam function, which releases more powerful steam bursts than
the continuous steam function. Press the Steam Trigger, located below the handle, to use this function. When
using this function for the rst time, press the Steam Trigger three or four times to prime the Unit to spray steam.
