you read the notes on page 17.
Do not operate the unit with wet
hands.
Risk of overheating
Fire hazard due to overheating!
Let the Vegimat cool down after
each use.

Check device
Check your Vegimat for damage regu-
larly:
Are there any breaks, cracks or
other damage at the pot, on top
of the unit, or the power cable?
Is the internal heating element
and temperature sensor firmly
attached?
If the shaft with the blades
mounted in a stable anchorage?
Check the tightness of the can.

Security Measurements
The unit is equipped with safety mea-
surements that prevent the basic ope-
rating errors.
Dry-Boil protection
The dry-boil protection triggers when
there is no or too little water in the pot.
All lamps light up red, it sounds a war-
ning tone.
1. If you notice the alarm, pull the
plug.
2. Fill a sufficient quantity (1.4 - 1.5
liters) of cold water and pour the
ingredients as desired.
Overflow protection
If properly filled with the right amount of
water and ingredients, an overflow du-
ring the cooking cycle is very unlikely.
However, should it occur, the threat of
overflow is detected by a sensor and
the heating is interrupted immediately.
Closed System
The device can be turned on only when
the top part rests on the original Vegi-
mat pot. The contacts above the hand-
le of the can close the circuit in the de-
vice. Thus, an operation outside of the
protective beverage container is pre-
vented.
Overheating protection and internal
fuse
After the normal execution of a pro-
gram, all the electronic components do
not exceed a temperature of 60° C,
after the device top was lifted from the
hot liquid.
All the electronics with the micropro-
cessor are securely housed in a black
box inside the unit.
If the current exceeds the permitted
value, the internal fuse turns off the
device permanently. In this case, plea-
se contact the POWER-SOJA Service
Center.

Operation
The Vegimat comes with the following
basic functions:
Water heating
The water and the contents are heated
by the heating element. The heating
time and thus the temperature reached
is determined by the automatic pro-
gram.
Grinding ingredients
The specially shaped blades are grin-
ding the solid content. The duration
and frequency of grinding cycles is also
determined by the automatic program.
The base is always 1.4 to 1.5 liters of
cold water.
Never fill in warm water, because
the programs are optimized for
cold water.
Automatic programs
There are 6 different programs for the
production of vegetarian food and
drinks. They control the heating and
grinding cycles in an optimized sequen-
ce and duration for the respective in-
gredients.
In addition, there are the two function
keys BLEND and HEAT for manual
control. (Heating and grinding)
The desired program is selected
by repeatedly pressing the but-
ton FUNCTION: The program is
lighting
Press the START button, the
program starts.
The unit drives attention by an
acoustic signal at the program
end.
Tips and advice for usage
After the end of the program
(alarm signal) or at premature
end you always pull out the plug.
Do not lift the unit out of the pot
during the operation. Then the
program is interrupted.
If you do not use the Vegimat,
place the device into the can to
protect the blade and the heating
element.
Pour the remaining water out
immediately, so that there will be
no germs..

Unpacking
DANGER for children -
Risk of Choking / Swallowing
Remove the protective film from the
panel.
Keep all packaging away from
children. Discard it immediately.
Setup
WARNING - Risk by incorrect
positioning / connecting
Please note the installation and
connection conditions chapter
"Security information" (p. 6 / 7)
Place the pot on a flat, non-slip
surface.
Before first use
To remove any residue from producti-
on, clean the Vegimat before first use: :
Fill the pot with some warm wa-
ter and a few drops of detergent
and clean the pot with a soft
sponge.
Keep the top part with one hand
by the handle and hold the bot-
tom (white plastic) under running
water. It can be cleaned more
thoroughly using the sponge.
Under running water, rinse the
pot and the unit base, including
the heating element and the kni-
fe.
DANGER - Risk of electric
shock
Never clean with plugged power
cord!
The top of the unit (orange color)
must not come into contact with
water.
The device may never be
completely immersed in water.
Wipe any spilled water immedia-
tely, so that no liquid can pe-
netrate into the interior.
WARNING - Risk of fire due to
overheating
Never turn on the appliance without
any water in the pot.

13
Usage
Preparation
DANGER - Risk of electric
shock
Make sure that the power cord is
unplugged before you prepare
the device..
WARNING - Risk of fire and
scalding
Do not fill less than 1.4 liters, but not
more than 1.5 liters in the tank.
With too little water, the dry-boil protec-
tion turns off the device or the program
can not achieve optimal results.
Too much water can squirt out boiling
water.
1. Remove the device from the pot
and set it aside.
2. Make sure that the VegiLator is
screwed into the bottom of the
can properly!
3. Fill in 1.4 to 1.5 liters of cold wa-
ter into the can. You can notice
the right amount at the marking
lines.
Do not use warm water, otherwise the
programs cannot work correctly.
Soaking ingredients
Some of the ingredients for beverages
that you can prepare with the Vegimat
should necessarily be previously soa-
ked in water:
Soy beans, mung beans
Lupins
Almonds, Hazelnuts
Other ingredients may be used in soa-
ked condition as well, depending on the
desired taste and desired consistency,
but it is not mandatory.
1. Put with the beans / nuts in a
glass or a bowl of sufficient wa-
ter.
2. The soaking time should be bet-
ween 5 and 10 hours, but no
more than 20 hours..
The swollen soybeans then reach 2.2
to 2.4 times of their dry weight..
Note: When the beans were too
long in the water, then it will pro-
duce foam on the surface of the
water. This means that the fermentati-
on process is already underway and
there are bacteria form carbon dioxide.

14
