ThankyouforusingournewPDTSeriesWirelessBarCodeCollector.Itcombinesthewireless
barcodescannerandvariouscommonlyusedwirelessbarcodedataacquisitionfunctions,users
candirectlyusewithoutanyprogramming.PDTseriesproductswithkeyboardandscreen,cando
wirelessbarcodescannercannotfunction
Withthekeyboardandscreen,youcanachievethefunctionsofthetraditionalwirelessbarcode
scannercannotbeachieved,suchasbarcodesarenotscannedcandamage,youcanenter
throughthekeyboard;candisplaythecurrentwirelesschannelused,wirelesssignalstrengthand
batterypower.SupportingtheuseofwirelessbasestationUSBinterface,simulationkeyboard

Detailedoperation
1,RF‐Gun
ThefunctionofRF‐Gunmodeisthesameasthatofatraditional
wirelessscanner,whichistoscanthebarcodeandsendittothe
computerimmediately.Thepictureontherightistheinterfaceafter
enteringthisfunction.Themaximumallowabledisplayof2lines40
characters.
Duetotheuncertaintyofwirelesscommunications,thePDTSeries
WirelessBarcodeCollectorstillallowsbarcodestobescannedandcachedautomaticallyinthe
eventofoccasionaloutages,foramaximumofabout1000barcodesatatime.Whenthe
communicationisrestored,thePDTSerieswillautomaticallysendthebufferedbarcodetothe
basestation.
PDTSerieswirelessbarcodecollectorwithkeyboardandscreen,allscaninterfacesallowmanual
inputofbarcodes.Press【F1】toenterthemanualinputstate,threeinputmodes,numbers,
lowercaseletters,uppercaseletters,123fordigitalmode,abcforlowercasemode,ABCfor
uppercasemode,press【SW】toswitchtheinputmethodandpress【ENT】Keytoconfirm,
press【ESC】tocancel.

ThemodelforthehandheldtoconnecttheUSBdatacabletothecomputerorcashregister,the
handheldcanbeusedasawiredscanner,barcodescanningdirectlytothecomputerorcash
register.

Themodeisnon‐real‐timetransmissionmode,allthebarcode
acquisitionaftermasstransfer,theusercanchoosetoexport
wirelessorcable.AllscannedbarcodesarestoredinFLASHmemory
inscanorder,andpowerlossdoesnotresultindataloss.
Atthesametimebarcodeacquisitionmodecanberepeatedbar
codefordifferenttreatment,therearethreeways:
(1,donotdealwithrepeatedbarcodes,Savethescannedbarcode;
(2,attention,whenpromptedtorepeatthebarcodeisskippedor
saved;
(3,prohibitscanningrepeatbarcode,repeatbarcodeunconditional
filter.

Directcountingisasimpleinventorystatisticsmode,recordthe
numberofbarcodesandthecorrespondingvalue,canhandle10000
barcodesatatime,themaximumnumberofasinglebarcode
999999.Afterscanningthebarcode,thesameauto‐accumulation
quantitycanalsobemanuallyinputthequantityvalue.Eachtimethe
barcodeisscanned,thecorrespondingquantityofthebarcodeis
increasedbyone,orthenumberofmanualcountinginputcanbe
directlypressedtobeoverwrittenoraccumulated.

beenactivatedandthistypeofbarcodecanbescanned;thebarcode

Thelengthofthevalidbarcodeindicatesthelengthofthebarcodethatisallowedtobeoutput.
Thedefaultvalueis1‐50,indicatinganylength(themaximumbarcodeofthePDTwireless
scanneris50digits).Userscansetsingle,multipleormultiplerangesofvalidbarcodelengths.
Suchastheinput13thatonlyallows13‐bitbarcodeoutput;8.13.15thatonlyallow8,13and
15‐bitbarcodeoutput.15‐18indicatesthattheallowedlengthofthebarcodeis15,16,17,18four.

Wirelesscommunicationconfigurationincludessettinglocaladdress,wirelesscommunication
channel,pairingwithwirelessbasestation.Thelocaladdressis1‐99,thewirelesschannelis1‐32,
thesameenvironment,multipledifferentwirelesschannelmachinescanbeusedatthesame
timeandthebarcodedatawithoutdisturbingeachother.
Aftermodifyingthewirelesschannel,thehandsetandthewirelessbasestationmustbepaired
beforetheycanbeused.Matchingprincipleis:awirelessbasestationcansupportmultiple
machines,butthemachine'slocaladdresscannotbethesame.Thesameradiochannelmachine
canonlyuseonewirelessbasestation.Selectpairingwithwirelessbasestation,followthe
instructionsonthemachinescreen,andconfirmwithENT.
(3,theapplicationupdates(needtoupgradeupdateonly)
ThePDTSeriesDataCollectorsupportsupgradingandupdatingapplications.Thedriversneedto
beinstalledforthefirsttime.Thedriverfilesareincludedintheapplicationupdatepackage.If
youneedtoupgradeorupgrade,pleasecontactthesalesandtechnicalpersonnelforupdating.
