Chapter 1 VisionDTV PCI-Ter Introduction
1.1 Introduction
VisionDTV PCI-Ter Card allows you to watch digital TV & Radio programs via a PCI
interface Card. With VisionDTV PCI-Ter Card, users are able to watch, record & play
back high quality digital TV program on their PC Monitors. Today, a vast array of
entertainment media is not only found on TV set top boxes, but also available on your
home PC.

This chapter tells how to install VisionDTV in
hardware and software with the easiest way!!

Chapter 2 Installation Introduction
2.1 Hardware Installation
Before You Begin
Make sure your computer system meet the system requirements
Make sure the computer and all related equipments are power off
Please note that VisionDTV can’t be inserted with the analog TV tuner card at the
same system. Please remove the analog TV tuner card or other PCI card that with
Conexant BT878 on board and their drivers before install VisionDTV.
Step1: Insert VisionDTV PCI-Ter Card
Remove the cover of the slot you intend to use and unscrew the mounting bracket
Pick up the VisionDTV PCI-Ter Card and position it over the expansion slot you
have chosen
Push the card firmly and evenly, confirm it seated in the slot entirely
Screw the bracket of the VisionDTV PCI-Ter Card onto the computer chassis
Step2: Cable Connection
Make sure the cable correctly connected with terrestrial antenna
Connect the cable to the LNB-in connector and fasten the plug

2.2 Software Installation
Before You Begin
Make sure that VisionDTV Card is physically installed (For more information
please refer to Hardware Installation described in last chapter).
Turn on your computer
Driver Installation
1. After finishing the “Hardware Installation” and turn on the computer,
Windows will find 2 New Hardware – Multimedia Video Controller and
Multimedia Control. Please choose “Cancel” of both pop up windows, we
will install the drivers later by the VisionDTV program automatically.
2. Insert VisionDTV driver CD into your CD-ROM drive, and you should see an
“Autorun” pop up window after inserting the CD, please click “Install
Software and Driver”.

If you don’t see an “Autorun” pop up window, please open the VisionDTV
folder in CD-ROM and launch “setup” program manually.
3. After you click “ Install Software and Driver ” or launch “setup” program, the
driver will be installed automatically. Please just follow the procedures.
a. Choose proper language you would like to use.
b. Just click “Continue Anyway” if you see both of the following windows.

c. Drivers are already installed once you see the following window. Just click
ok to restart your computer, and the application software – VisionDTV will be
installed automatically after restarting.

Application Software (VisionDTV) Installation
1. The “VisionDTV Install shield Wizard” will be launched automatically. Please
follow the procedures.
a. Choose proper language version you would like to install.
b. Follow the steps.

c. Congratulation!! It’s finished when you see the window, and you can launch
the VisionDTV by clicking the “VisionDTV” icon on desktop.
2. Enjoy your personal Digital TV now!

System Setup
This chapter describes how to set all the parameters
of the system in detail, and lists all the knowledge
you need to set up a Digital Terrestrial TV system.

For watching Digital Terrestrial TV, you need to configure several functions. And the
necessary sections for system setting will be described in advance and unnecessary parts
at the last.
To enter the configuration page please click at the icon on VisionDTV control
panel.

3.1 DTT – Setup
Configurations
Automatic Country/Area Search:
Please check the “Country” and “Area”, if your location is on the list then please click
“Country/Area Search” to complete the channels setup.
To download the latest Country/Area channel list database, please click on the
Control panel and select “Update Terrestrial list”. Please refer to
Chapter 4 for further details.
Otherwise, please prompt to “Manual Search” or “Manual Full Search”.
Manual Search:
Inputting “Frequency” and “Bandwidth” information then click “Search” to search the
channels. For more information please contact your local terrestrial content provider.
Manual Full Search:
Inputting “Frequency”, “Bandwidth” and “Step” information then click “Full Search”
to search the channels. And the system will scan the channels from the frequency you
input to 860,000 KHz.

Parameters:
Frequency – The channel’s frequency. The available frequency of terrestrial is from
4,000KHz to 800,000KHz.
Bandwidth – The carrier’s frequency bandwidth (Or you can just think it as the
channel’s bandwidth). The available values are 6, 7, 8 MHz and auto. Normally you can
just choose auto if you have no idea what the value is. Though it will take more time for
searching.
Step – The interval that you execute “Full Search”. The available value is from 1 to 8
MHz.
KHz – 1000 KHz = 1MHz

3.2 Program
Functions
List Name:The list file you are currently editing or using.
Open Channel List:Open an exiting channels list file from your computer.
Save Current List:Save the channels list at left side to your computer.
Delete All Channels:Delete the channels list at left side.
Add One Channel:Add channels manually by inputting necessary information. The
information includes “Frequency”, “Symbol Rate”, “Polarization H/V”, “VPID”, and
“APID”.
Delete One Channel:Delete the channel on the list. Please note that the setting will be
effective only after you save the file and exit the “Properties” panel.
Edit This Channel:Edit the current program on the list.
Add to Favorite List:Add the list in the left side to your favorite list.

Programs Classification
FTA:Only shows the FTA(Free to Air) channels in list.
Scrambled:Only shows the Scrambled channels in list.
All:Shows all channels.
TV:Only shows TV channels.
Radio:Only shows Radio channels.
