Is 240v AC present at Input of SMPSU Module?
YES continue
NO Check incoming mains supply
Is 27.5v DC present at Output of SMPSU Module?
YES continue
NO Disconnect ‘Power Out’, ‘Power in’ & ‘Battery’ leads from XT A00380 Main CCU Board
& test to see if 27.5v DC present at Output of SMPSU Module?
If not, then possible faulty SMPSU
Is 27.5v DC present at ‘Power In’ connection?
YES continue
NO Disconnect ‘Power In’ cable from XT A00380 Main CCU Board & measure voltage
on cables direct (as below), is 27.5v DC present? If not, then possible faulty leads/connector
If not, then possible faulty leads/connector
Are onboard Voltage/Power LED’s illuminating on XT A00380 Main CCU Board?
YES continue
NO Disconnect ribbon cable from XT A00380 Main CCU (as below), do onboard
Voltage/Power LED’s illuminate? If not, then possible faulty A00380 Board
If LED’s begin to illuminate, reconnect ribbon cable onto XT A00380 CCU Board & then
disconnect ribbon cable from XT A00381 Termination board instead (as below), do onboard
Voltage/Power LED’s illuminate?
If so, then possible problem with XT A00381 Termination Board or the system Network
that is connected to it. If not, then possible ribbon cable problem.
5v
3v3
24v
12v
Are onboard Voltage/Power LED’s illuminating on XT A00381 Termination Board?
YES continue
NO Check voltages, with reference to 0v, on XT A00380 Main CCU Board at ‘Power Out’
JP12 connection (as below), are voltages correct?
24v (Blue Cable) = 24-26v DC 12v (Brown Cable) = 12–13.75v DC
5v (Pink cable) = 5v
12v
24v
If voltages are NOT correct, then disconnect ‘Power Out’ cable from XT A00381 Termination
Board JP1 (as per below) and measure voltages at ‘Power Out’ JP12 again on XT A00380
Main CCU Board. Are voltages then ok? If not, then possible XT A00380 Main CCU Board.
If voltages are ok, then possible problem with XT A00381 Termination Board or the system
Network that is connected to it.
If voltages are ok from original readings on XT A00380 Main CCU Board, then check
voltages, with reference to 0v, on XT A00381 Main Termination Board at ‘Power Out ’
connection JP1 (as below), are voltages correct?
24v (Blue Cable) = 24-26v DC 12v (Brown Cable) = 12–13.75v DC
5v (Pink cable) = 5v
If voltages on ‘Power Out’ cable JP1 connection are NOT correct? Then disconnect ‘Power
Out’ cable from XT A00381 Termination Board JP1 (as per below) and measure voltages at
‘Power Out’ cable direct. Are Voltages Ok?
24v (Blue Cable) = 24-26v DC 12v (Brown Cable) = 12–13.75v DC
5v (Pink cable) = 5v
If voltages are NOT correct then possible fault on ‘Power Out’ cable or connector
If voltages are ok, then possible problem with XT A00381 Termination Board or the system
Network that is connected to it.
Are all 12v & 24v Network Voltage LED’s illuminated on XT A00381 Termination Board?
YES continue
NO Check 12v & 24v Fuses are NOT blown
Network Fuses
Are all 12v & 24v Voltages present on all 3 x Network Terminations on XT A00381?
YES if still no power to Network Device, Speech Units etc, then possible problem on network
cabling or those devices connected to it
NO possible XT A00381 Termination Board
Cable up an Intercom locally at the Advent XT CCU A00381 Termination Board
(with all other system wiring removed) & test.
