OrientationofFront‐To‐Back(FTB)unit:
TheFTBunitisauniversalfitforallfourfronttobackcornersofanRVtraveltrailer.
Forexample,Exhibit1,p.2,showstherearPassenger(RT)sidecornerpositionfortheinstallation.Ifthereisan
obstructionpreventinginstallation,theFTBunitcanbeinstalledononeoftheothercorners.

Assembly:
1.OpenthecartonandlayoutthecomponentsandcheckthePartsListonp.6.

2.AssembleFrameMountPlate(#1),SwingPlate(#2),ShortLink(#3),andLongLink(#5)withthe½”x3/8”shoulder
bolts(#6),½”nylonwashers,and3/8”‐16nuts(#9)andsetaside.(SeeExhibit2,p.3andPartsListp.6).
Note:Makesurethenylonwasherfitsovertheshoulderoftheshoulderboltbeforetightening.Alittledabofgreaseontheshoulderboltwill
helpthelinkspivot.

3.AssembleShortConnectingLink(#2),5/15”‐24x¾”FlatHeadScrew(#3),andEyeRodEnd(#4)perExhibit3,p.4.
Note:Aligntheeyerodend(#4,Exhibit3)straightupanddown.

4.Removethescissorjackfootpadboltsatthebottomofthescissorjackandinstallthetwo3/8”‐16x3½”hexbolts
(#16,Exhibit4,p.5).
Tip:Ifyoulowerthescissorjackuntilitstabilizesontheground,youwillbeabletoslidethe3/8”bolts(#16)inandouteasier.

5.Installtheassembledshortconnectionlink(#4,Exhibit4,p5)tothebottomofthescissorjackfootpad(p.5).Do
notovertightenthebolts,thescissorjackneedstopivotontheboltstoworksmoothly.

6.AttachtheassembledSwingPlateend(#2,Exhibit4,p.5)totheassembledshortconnectinglinkrodend(#10,
Exhibit4,p.5)usingthe5/16”‐18nylocknut(#8,Exhibit4,p.5)and5/16”‐18x1½”bolt(#7,Exhibit4,p.5).

7.AftertheFTBunitisassembledandattachedtothescissorjackfootpad,fullyretractthescissorjack.(Warning!If
thescissorjackisnotfullyretracted,theFTBcannotbeattachedtotheframeproperlyandcoulddamagetheFTB
and/orframe.)

8.Withthescissorjackinthefullretractposition,raisetheassembledFrameMountPlate(#1,Exhibit4,
p.5)totheframeofthetrailerandclampinplace.TheFrameMountingPlatewillself‐locateintheproperpositionif
thescissorjackisfullyretracted.(Warning!Ifthescissorjackisnotfullyretracted,theFTBcannotbeattachedtothe
frameproperlyandcoulddamagetheFTBand/orframe.)

9.SecuretheFrameMountingPlatetothetrailerframebydrillingtheTEKscrews(#15,Exhibit4,p.5),thrutheFrame
MountingPlateslotintothetrailerframe.TheTEKscrewsareself‐drillingandself‐tapping.NOTE:Ifyouareinstallingthe
FTBonanRVTrailerwithanIBeamframeyouwillwantmakesureyouarenotdrillingintothecenteroftheIBeam.Ifyouhaveatubeframe
oraCChannelframeyoucanuseeithertheslotholesontheFrameMountingPlateortheholesonthesideoftheFrameMountingPlate(see
page5).


THEMANUFACTURERNAMEDBELOWMAKESTHEFOLLOWINGWARRANTYWITHRESPECT
TOTHEABOVEULTRA‐FABPRODUCTS

1. ThisWarrantyismadeonlytothefirstPurchaser(hereinaftercalledthe“OriginalPurchaser”)whoacquiresthisproduct
fortheirownuse.

2. ThisWarrantywillbeineffectforoneyearfromthedateofpurchasebytheOriginalPurchaser.Itissuggestedthatthe
OriginalPurchaserretainacopyofthedatedbillofsaleasproofofthedateofpurchase.

3. ThisWarrantycoversonlyspecifiedpartswhichshallbefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipundernormal
use.ThisWarrantydoesnotcoverconditionsunrelatedtothematerialandworkmanshipoftheproduct.Suchunrelated
conditionsinclude,butarenotlimitedto(a)faultyinstallationandanydamageresultingfromsuch;(b)theneedfor
normalmaintenanceandanydamageresultingfromthefailuretoprovidesuchmaintenance;(c)failuretofollow
Manufacturer’sinstructionsforuseofthisproduct,and(d)anyaccidentto,ormisuseof,anypartofthisproductandany
alterationbyanyoneotherthantheManufactureroritsauthorizedrepresentative.

4. InordertoobtainthebenefitsofthisWarranty,youshouldreturntheproductwhichyoufinddefectivetothe
ManufacturernamedbelowduringtheperiodthatthisWarrantyisineffect.Allchargesincurredindeliveryofthe
producttotheManufacturer,andinpickingitupaftertheWarrantyservicehasbeencompleted,mustbepaidbythe
OriginalPurchaser.

5. Anyitemreturnedinthemannerdescribedinparagraph4willbeexaminedbytheManufacturer.Ifitisfoundthatthe
returneditemwasdefectiveinmaterialorworkmanship,theManufacturerwillrepairitwithoutchargeformaterialand
labor.

6. Ultra‐Fabwillpayfreightonreplacementpartsduringthefirst90daysofownershipbytheOriginalPurchaser.

7. TheManufacturerdoesnotauthorizeanypersonorcompanytocreateanyWarrantyobligationorliabilityontheir
behalf.

8. INNOEVENTSHALLTHEMANUFACTURERBELIABLEFORINCIDENTALORCONSEQUENTIALDAMAGES.SOMESTATESDO
NOTALLOWTHEEXCLUSIONORLIMITATIONOFINCIDENTALORCONSEQUENTIALDAMAGESSOTHEABOVELIMITATION
OREXCLUSIONMAYNOTAPPLYTOYOU.
