MAINTENANCE
DISPOSAL
7
Always use eye protection goggles with side covers. Dioptre eyeglasses does not protect
your eyes or your ears.
If you are working with materials that produce lot of sawdust, use dust vacuum system.
Switch the sawdust vacuum system on before starting your work. If you cannot use the
vacuuming system use respirator and make sure the room is properly ventilated.
Changing the saw blade
You may use saw blades with grip system bingo systems
Bosch
Important notice: Before assembly or adjustment,
always disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.
•Use small hexagonal wrench and drive it to the small
opening on the side cover of the handsaw to unscrew
the screw with the inner hexagonal head.
•Place the saw blade in the gripping case, teeth facing
forward.
•When putting the saw blade in make sure that the back
of the blade (edge without teeth) fits well inside the
groove of the guiding wheel and that the end part of
the saw blade is all the way in, touching the stopper.
•Tighten the fastening screw and check that the blade
is securely fastened by switching the slow speed on.
Setting the cutting speed
Before switching your machine on set the speed
(rpm) regulator to the lowest value. To do so, turn
the knob on the handle towards you. The saw now
starts with the lowest speed reducing the risk of
injuries to minimum and ensuring that no impact
will be felt when you start the saw.
•Turn the speed regulator (1) to the right or left to set
the required cutting speed.
•The speed must match the physical properties of the
cutting material.
•Generally, the rule of thumb says; the higher the
cutting speed the faster you finish the cut. But higher
cutting speeds wear out the saw blade faster.
•Number one is the lowest speed and number 6 is the
highest.

8
Switching your machine ON/OFF
•Connect the power cable plug to the wall outlet.
•Before switching your machine on set the speed (rpm)
regulator to the lowest value. To do so, turn the knob
on the handle towards you.
•After you have connected the power cable, press the
safety button 1 and at the same time press the main
switch 2.
•You must keep the switch depressed during cutting.
•Set the required cutting speed by turning the
regulator to the right or to the left.
•When you release the switch 2 the handsaw stops
automatically.
•Place the handsaw on the work table after it has come
to a complete stop.
Setting the cutting angle
You may set the cutting angle gradually in steps
or continuously.
Setting the angle in steps
•Release the screw on the bottom part of the saw. Use
the supplied hexagonal wrench.
•Move the base flange forward and tilt it until you reach the required angle.
•Tighten the screw on the bottom part of the handsaw.
•If you wish to set the angle further, move the base flange back and tilt it in the same direction.
•Then move the base flange forward and secure in place by tightening the screw.
•The angle may be set between 0°- 45° on either side.
•To achieve the perfect precision, set the angle and perform a test cut on a piece of material you don't need.
Measure the angle and reset the angle again until you reach the required precision.
Setting the angle continuously
•Release the screw on the bottom part of the saw. Use the supplied hexagonal wrench.
•Move the base flange to the middle position. Now you may set the angle continuously.
•Tighten the screw.
•Perform test cut again on material you don't need and if needed set the angle again until you achieve
the required precision.
Orbital cutting and straight cutting
•You machine enables you to choose from 4 different cutting modes.
•One mode for straight cutting and 3 modes for orbital cutting.
•Orbital cutting may be used for soft materials such as wood or plastic.
•Orbital cutting widens the cut width and rapidly increases the blade wear and tear. Use for cutting soft
materials only (wood or plastic).
9
NOTE
Orbital cutting cannot be used for metal or hard
wood cutting.
•Orbital cutting offers higher cutting speeds but
decreases the cut area quality when you cut across
the fibre lines direction.
•During orbital cutting the blade moves forward when
the saw blade goes up.
•To select the cutting mode, turn the knob 1 to one of
the four available positions (0,1, 2, 3).
•Position number 0 is for straight cuts
•Positions number 1-3 are for orbital cuts.
•The cutting intensity increases from position 1
to position 3. Position 3 being the most intensive.
Sawdust blower switch
•You machine is equipped with sawdust blower 2.
•Position 0 switches the blower OFF.
•If you choose position number 1, the blower will blow
the sawdust forward.
Using your machine
•The base flange must be always in contact with the cutting material. Otherwise you may damage the saw
blade or injure yourself.
•Move the handsaw forward very slowly when cutting curve.
•Do not press on the saw too hard. Too much pressure decreases the cut quality and may damage the
saw blade.
•Turn the handsaw on and wait few second until the blade reaches its speed. The saw may not be in contact
with the work piece before it reaches its full speed.
•After the saw reaches its speed, place the base flange on the cutting material and slowly slide it forward,
while observing the cut line.
•If you need to start the cut inside the material, drill at the beginning of the cut line a hole with diameter of
12 mm.
•When cutting curves lower the cutting speed.
•The base flange must be in contact with the material from the beginning of the cut till the cut is completed.
It is prohibited to lift the base flange above the material during cutting. Severe injuries or damage to your tool
may occur.
Metal cutting
•Use cutting fluid or oil when cutting metals.
•Spray the oil or the cutting fluid inside the cut, on the saw blade or on the material surface regularly.
Cutting fluids lower the friction between the material and the saw blade.
