incandescentlamp.Thestronglightcancausefataldamage
tothecamera.
zThesensormaybeburnedoutbyalaserbeam,sowhenany

zWhileshipping,thecamerashouldbepackedinitsoriginal
packing.

zAvoidsquashing,shaking,ordampingthedeviceintransport,
storage,andmounting.Keepawayfromvibrationsourcesas
muchaspossibleduringmounting.
zUseaDC12V1ApoweradapteroraPoweroverEthernet
(PoE)device.Otherwise,thecameradevicecouldbe
damaged.
zWhenthePoEdeviceisused,allIPC340modelsexceptfor
IPC340Lsupportthechargingfunction,thatis,charging
otherdevicesthroughpowerinterfaces.Themaximum
chargingcurrentofmanualzoomlensdevicesis0.55A,and

themaximumchargingcurrentofmotorizedzoomlens
devicesis0.47A.
zVerifythatthepowercablebetweenthepoweradapterand
thedeviceisequaltoorshorterthan1.5m.Ifthepower
cableislongerthan1.5m,thevoltageofthedeviceis
lowered,causingthedevicetoworkimproperly.Ifitis
requiredtolengthenthepowercable,lengthenthecable
betweenthepoweradapterandthemains(220V).
zBesuretodisconnectthepowerbeforemovingthedevice,
andexcisecautiontoavoidelectricshockwhenmovingit.
Oncethecableisconnectedtothemains,thedevicewillbe
powered.
zWhenmovingthedevice,donotholdthetailcablebyhand
forweightbearing.Otherwise,thecableconnectorofthe
devicecouldbeloosened.
zDonotcutoffthetailcableforconnectionpurposes.Abare
tailcablemayeasilycauseashortcircuit,resultingin
abnormalityofordamagetothedevice.

zWhenconnectingtoanexternalinterface,useanexisting
connectionterminal,andensurethatthecableterminal
(latchorbuckle)isingoodconditionandproperlyfastened.
Ensurethatthecableisnottenseduringmounting,witha
propermarginreservedtoavoidpoorportcontactor
looseningcausedbyshockorshake.
zDonotexposebutwellprotectthetailendofthetailcable.
Ensurethatthetailcableareaiswaterproof,andavoid
immersingthetailcableinaccumulatedwater.
zEnsurethatthevoltageofthehigh‐levelsignalofthealarm
inputinterfaceislowerthan5VDCwhenthealarminput
interfaceisconnected.
zTokeepthehousingclean,donotremovethetransparent
protectivefilmintheouterlayerofthehousingduring
mounting.Afterconfirmingthatthemountingiscomplete,
removethetransparentprotectivefilmbeforethedeviceis
started.

zDomehousingsintheindustrygenerallyhavestatic
electricity.Topreventdustabsorptionbythestatic
electricity,itisrecommendedtocleanthedomehousing
surfacebyusingantistaticglovesafterremovingthe
protectivefilm.
3Installation
MountingtheMicroSDCard(Optional)
TheMicroSDcardslotisinsidethedevice.Therefore,you
needtoopenthebottomcoverofthecamera.Afterthecardis
inserted,hotpluggingisnotrecommended.
FordetailsaboutrecommendedSDcardspecifications,
contactsalesortechnicalsupportpersonnel.TheSDcard
usestheFAT32filesystem,andsupportsonlyonepartition.
1. Removethedomehousing.
Removethethreesocketfillister‐headscrewsalongtheedge
ofthetransparentdomehousing.

2. InserttheMicroSDcardintotheslot.InserttheMicroSD
cardandmountthedomehousingagain.
CeilingMounting
Ensurethatthewallorceilingcanholdself‐tappingscrews
anditshardnesscanbeartheweightofthedevicewhen
mountingthedeviceonthewallorceiling.Theceilingbracketis
attachedwiththedevicedelivery.
1. Determinepositionsofholes.

Leadcablestobeconnectedoutofthewallholeandpaste
installationpositioningstickersontheceiling.
2. Drillwallholes.
Useadrillbitwithadiameterof6mmor6.5mmtodrill30
mm‐depthguideholesaccordingtothepositionsmarkedby
stickers.
3. Mounttheplasticrivetsofself‐tappingscrews.
Knocktheplasticrivetsintotheguideholesandensurethat
theyaretightenedup.

4. Mounttheceilingbracket.
Leadself‐tappingscrewsthroughtheguideholesinthebase
andfixthemontheceilingbyusingascrewdriver.

5. Connectallcablesandfixthedomeandceilingbracket.
