CAUTION: To avoid overheating and possible damage to this product and other equipment, do not
use it to power a device that exceeds the designed ratings.
CAUTION: This product must be installed and used in accordance with the appropriate electrical
codes and regulations.
WARNING: Avoid getting any liquid on the unit, as it can cause shock and re. If the unit gets wet,
disconnect the power at the circuit breaker, fuse, or outlet. Ensure the unit is completely dry before
reconnecting to a power source.
WARNING: Do not attempt to perform any maintenance on this device. Please call UPLIFT Desk
if the product is not working as intended. Hazardous voltages are present inside the unit during
operation.
CAUTION: The Surge Protector needs a path to ground for safety and to work properly. It should only
be plugged directly into a grounded outlet. Using an extension cord in conjunction with this Surge
Protector will void all UPLIFT Desk warranties.
Under no circumstances does the manufacturer accept warranty or liability claims for damages
caused from improper use of this product. Please provide these instructions to any new user or
owner of the product.

Step 1 - Attach Frame Brackets
When attaching the Surge Protector to the frame
mounting points, consider the location of other UPLIFT
Desk accessories you plan to attach. The Surge Protector
can be mounted to either side of the frame, in front or
back. Refer to the images shown to determine where you
would like to mount your Surge Protector.
A. Position the Frame Brackets in the orientation shown.
B. Align the appropriate oval holes in the Frame Brackets
with the frame mounting points indicated by the
dotted lines shown in Location 1 or 2.
C. Use a Phillips Head Screwdriver to attach the Frame
Brackets to the frame mounting points using the
M8 x 8 Machine Screws and M8 Washers.
Location 1: Choose this location if you would like the
Surge Protector located closest to the end of the desk.
Location 2: Choose this location if you plan to install a
Desk Extension or Sidecar Shelf to your desk. The dotted
circles indicate the mounting holes that will be used by
those accessories.
Assembly Instructions
There are three ways to mount the 4-Outlet Mountable Surge Protector:
Option 1:
Mounted to the patented mounting points
on UPLIFT Desk Frames.
Option 2:
Mounted directly to the bottom of the
desktop with the outlets facing down.
Option 3:
Mounted via Desktop Brackets to the bottom
of the desktop with the outlets facing
forward, backward, or to the side.
Option 1: Mounting to an UPLIFT Desk Frame
Step 2 - Attach the Surge Protector
A. Position the Surge Protector in the orientation shown.
B. Align the oval mounting slots in the ends of the Surge
Protector with the mounting holes in the ends of the
Frame Brackets as shown.
C. Use a Phillips Head Screwdriver to attach the
Surge Protector to the Frame Brackets with the
M5 x 6 Machine Screws and M5 Washers.

Option 2: Mounting Directly to the Bottom of the Desktop
Step 1 - Drill Mounting Hole Locations
A. Position the Surge Protector where you would like to
install it underneath your desktop. Consider other
accessories you may be installing, such as keyboard
trays, under desk drawers, CPU holders, etc.
B. Use a pencil or pen to mark the center of the two oval
mounting slots at the corners of each end of the Surge
Protector. Ignore the middle mounting slots.
C. Drill 1/2” deep pilot holes at these marks using a 1/8”
drill bit.
IMPORTANT: DRILL NO DEEPER THAN 1/2” to avoid
drilling through your desktop. To ensure this, wrap a
piece of tape around your drill bit 1/2” from the tip.
Stop drilling just before the tape touches the desktop.
Step 2 - Attach Surge Protector
A. Align the oval mounting slots of the Surge Protector
with the mounting holes made in the previous step.
B. Use a Phillips Head Screwdriver to attach the Surge
Protector to the desktop with the #10 x 5/8” Wood
Screws.

Option 3: Mounting to the Bottom of the Desktop with Desktop Brackets
Step 1 - Attach the Desktop Brackets
A. Position the Desktop Brackets at the back of the Surge
Protector as shown.
B. Align the oval mounting slots of the Surge Protector
with the threaded holes in the Desktop Brackets.
C. Use a Phillips Head Screwdriver to attach the Surge
Protector to the Desktop Brackets with the M5 x 6
Machine Screws and M5 Washers.
Step 2 - Drill Mounting Hole Locations
A. Position the Surge Protector with Desktop Brackets
attached where you would like to install it underneath
the desktop. Consider other accessories you may be
installing, such as keyboard trays, under desk drawers,
CPU holders, etc.
B. Use a pencil or pen to mark the center of the two
mounting holes in the top of the Desktop Brackets.
C. Drill ½” deep pilot holes at your pencil or pen marks
using a 1/8” drill bit.
IMPORTANT: DRILL NO DEEPER THAN 1/2” to avoid
drilling through your desktop. To ensure this, wrap a
piece of tape around your drill bit 1/2” from the tip.
Stop drilling just before the tape touches the desktop.

Step 3 - Attach Surge Protector with Brackets
A. Align the mounting holes of the Desktop Brackets with
the mounting holes made in the previous step.
B. Use a Phillips Head Screwdriver to attach the Surge
Protector brackets to the desktop with the #10 x 5/8”
Wood Screws.

“Protected” LED: The “Protected” LED indicates that the
surge protector is protecting your equipment against
surges of electricity. If this light goes out, your equipment
is no longer protected and the surge protector needs to be
replaced. The Surge Protector provides 525 Joules of surge
protection.
“Grounded” LED: The “Grounded” LED indicates that
your equipment is properly grounded. The unit uses the
connection to ground to divert surges of electricity and
protect equipment.
We recommend using UPLIFT Desk wire management
products to keep cables secure and organized.
A. Plug the Surge Protector into a grounded, 120V power
outlet.
B. Plug your devices into the Surge Protector.
C. Press the red power switch on the Surge Protector.
When the Surge Protector is powered, the power
switch, “Protected” LED, and “Grounded” LED should all
be illuminated.
