PhysicalInstallation
1. RemovethefrontpanelofyourprojectorandprepareESDprotection.
2. InserttheCMS‐2200intotheIMBslotofaseries2projector.
3. FullyseattheCMSandsecurethe2includedscrewsontheleftandrightsideofthefaceplate.
4. Reassembletheprojectorfrontpanel.
5. AttachCat.5AESaudiocablesfromtheCH1‐8andCH9‐16AUDIOOUTPUTportstoyoursoundprocessor.
6. AttachnetworkcablestotheAUXandDATAINPUTBportsifusingsecondarynetworks.ClosedCaptioningwill
beplayedviatheAUXport.*DonotconnecttheAUTOMATIONporttoanetwork.
7. ConnecttheAUTOMATIONGPIOporttoaCMSAwithaCat.5cable.TheGPIOpinoutisbelow.
8. Powertheprojectorandperformthemarriageprocedure.

1. Openthewebtool.Useawebtogoto:
http://ip_of_projector:43758/cgi‐bin/pycgi.py
2. Select“EditNetworkPortConfiguration”
forAction.Enterlogininformationfrom
thenextpageandpress“Send
Command”.
3. Intheformthatloads,entertheIPand
typeofprojectorinthefirstsection,set
thenetworkconfigurationfortheAUX
portinthesecondsection,andtheDATA
Bportinthe3rdsection.
4. Savethesesettingsbypressingthe
“UpdateSystemConfiguration”buttonat
thebottomofthepage.

Arebootoftheprojectorisrecommended
afterchangingthesesettings.

1. SMScontrolsoftwareisinstalledusingAdobeAir.DownloadAdobeAirfrom:
https://get.adobe.com/air/
2. Openthewebtool:http://ip_of_projector:43758/cgi‐bin/pycgi.py
3. SelecttheAction“DownloadSMSSoftwareUpdate”fromthedropdownmenu.SetLocationto“Download”and
specifyyourOperatingSystem.
4. Press“SendCommand”andyourbrowserwilldownloadtheSMSinstallfile.
5. Runthe
filesavedbythe
webbrowser.This
willuseadobeair
toinstalltheSMS
software.
6. Makesure
thecomputerison
thenetworkwith
theprojectorto
connect.

LoggingIn
1. OnceintheUSLShowManagersoftware,presstheDiscoverbuttoninthelowerrightcorneroftheOverview
screen.Enter2IPaddressesintheupperrighttospecifythenetworkrangethatcontainsallCMSonyour
network.
2. Pressthe“AddAll”buttononcethediscoveryhascompleted.
3. Returntothe“Overview”bypressingthebuttononthebottomleft.
4. Selectascreenbyclickingit.Doubleclicktologin,orpresstheloginbutton.
5. Enteroneofthefollowingtologintoyourserver:

Press“System”atthebottomofthepagetoAccesstheSystemConfigurationpages.
*Note:youmustloginasinstallertoseethesettings.

SystemStatus:CMSDriveandplaybackstatistics,andrunninglogs.
Users:ManagestheSMSusersfortheCMS.
AuditReports:generateanxmlauditreportforadaterange.
Settings:SetCMSconfigurationfor:
1. SetProjectorsettingstomatchyourprojector.

2. SetServeroptionstonamethescreen,EnableClosedCaptioningandSubtitles(ACS)andservername.
3. UsetheMediaBlocksettingstochangetheIMBtimewithinthe6minuteadjustmentwindow.
4. AddandeditcustomautomationcuesontheAutomationpage.
5. SettheAudiodelayandthe96KHzsamplemodesontheAudioSettings.
BuildingPlaylists
Click“Builder”onthebottomoftheSMSsoftwaretoenterthePlaylistBuilder.

Press tocreateanewplaylist.Nametheplaylistinthedialog.

ViewPropertiesfortheplaylistbypressinginthelowerleft.

Addclipsbyselectingtheminthecontentpane(upperright)andpressing

Selectclipsinthetimelinebyclickingthem.Longpresstobringupthemove/deleteoptions.

Thebuttoninthelowerlefttosaveyoureditstotheplaylist.

UseRefresh Copy LoadandDeletebuttonstomanage.

AddCuestotheselectedclipbyselecting“Cues”intheupperright,andthenaddingthemasyouwouldaclipto
thetimeline.


drivesisshownontheright.Sortandfiltertheviewwiththebuttonsatthetop.Keysonlyshowwhenthe“Licenses”
filterisselected.Toaddcontent:

AttachanESATAorUSBdrivetothefrontoftheCMS.
1. Oncethedriveisturnedon,waitfortheCMStoreadthecontents.ClipsandKDMsthatcanbeingestwillbe
shownintheleftpaneoncethedrivehasfinishedreading.
2. Selectcontentbyclickingit.

3. Pressthe IngestbuttontomoveselectedcontentontotheCMSinternaldrive.

4. Tracktransferstatusbyclickingthe“TransferStatus”buttonabovetheexternalcontentpane.

5. Cancelallcurrenttransferswith Clearthetransferhistorywith
Viewpropertiesofaselectedclipbypressing
Deletetheselectedcontentfromtheinternaldrivebypressing

