51XX Series Workstation
INSTALLATION GUIDE: SIDE MOUNT/UNDERCOUNTER LOGIC and
CASH DRAWER BRACKETS
Safety Precautions for Installation
WARNING: Use of Proper Mounting Fasteners
The installer is responsible for using the correct fasteners for the mounting substrate to adequately support the weight
of the fully loaded logic enclosure and cash drawer.
CAUTION: Crush and Pinch Point Hazard
Keep fingers and hands clear of panel edges and mounting points while attaching the mounts
Contents of Kit
•Upper and lower brackets for mounting the 51xx logic enclosure
•Cable cover for logic enclosure (note that cables are not included in the kit)
•Mounting bracket for 51xx cash drawer
•Cash drawer locking bracket
•Fasteners
o(2) #6-32 x ¼” screws
o(4) #8-32 x 3/8” screws

Instructions – Logic Enclosure
•Unpack and identify all parts.
•The 51xx logic can be installed on a right-hand or left-hand side wall. Pictures in this document
show right-hand mounting.
•Place the lower support bracket in the desired position on the side wall. Support the lower
bracket at a height of at least 3” from the floor or cabinet bottom to allow for proper air flow to
the workstation
•Inset the bracket at least 1 1/8” from the front surface of the cabinet so that the 5100 front bezel
does not protrude when installed. Secure through the 3 holes with appropriate fasteners.
Example is shown below:
•Remove the rubber feet from the 51xx enclosure if present.
•Place the 51xx enclosure in the lower bracket and align the front edges of the 51xx and the
bracket.
•Place the upper bracket on top of the 51xx and align to front edge.
•Place appropriate fasteners in the 3 slots and partially fasten, but do not fully tighten

•Insert two of the included #8-32 screws at the rear of the lower and upper brackets to secure the
51xx
•Fully tighten the 3 upper bracket mounting fasteners
•Install the 51xx power supply, 51xx logic module, and the front bezel cover.

•After all I/O cables are installed, place the cable cover into the 2 center slots on the 51xx.
•Secure the cable cover to the 51xx using #8-32 screws through at least one of the rear tabs.

Instructions – Cash Drawer
•Place cash drawer bracket in desired position under the counter and mark the location of the 6
mounting holes. Drill clearance holes for bolts or threaded inserts. Use appropriate bolts or
screws to secure bracket to counter.
•Slide cash drawer more than halfway into the bracket, then attach the cash drawer interface cable
to the modular connector on top of the cash drawer. Slide drawer further into the bracket,making
sure that the cable is tucked properly under the counter.
•Place tab on the cash drawer locking bracket into the square slot in the cash drawer. Push drawer
fully back. Secure the cash drawer bracket using the 2 supplied #6-32 screws.
