2. Firmware, Drivers and Tools Downloading
UTran’s UT34M2 NVMe RAID Card supports various operating systems. Firmware and drivers for NVMe RAID card are routinely updated, please
login UTran and Broadcom website that checking all FW/drivers/tools are latest released.
2.1 Firmware Downloading

2.2 Drivers Downloading
1. For Windows driver, it is in the same download page.
2. For Linux drivers, please visit Broadcom website below,
Step 1: Enter “downloads” page, expand the option of “driver”.
Step 2: download the latest Linux drivers for Linux.

3.2 Getting Started On M.2 Drives Installation
Step 1: Install nuts and plastic washers for 2280 size M.2 SSDs.
Step 2: Install bottom level M.2 SSDs and secure with M3 x4mm screws.
Step 3: Pasting thermal pads(0.5mm thickness) on SSDs and ROC.
Caution: The hot spot is usually in M.2 controller, please have the thermal pad pasting in the location as shown
in above picture.

To step 2 for 22110 length M.2 SSDs installation.
There are two screw holes for 2280 size SSDs, and two screw holes for 22110 size SSDs.

Step 5: Plugging FAN connector into receptacle of RAID card, Install FAN-sink and secure with M2.5 x4mm screws.
Step 6: Install nuts for 2280 or 22110 size SSDs, and secure nuts in FAN-sink
Step 7: Install top level M.2 SSDs and secure with M3 x4mm screws, pasting thermal pads(1mm thickness) for top level M.2 SSDs

Step 8: Install Heat-sink and secure with M2.5 x8mm screws.

Step 9: Checking the height of server chassis, then select proper bracket (full height or low profile).Finally, secure the bracket in M.2 RAID card
with M4 x4mm screws.

4. Create RAID Volumes In UEFI-HII
4.1 UEFI-HII Configuration Utility
Note: Most of latest servers support UEFI, but some of UEFI configuration may be different.
Step 1: Find AVAGO <Utran RAID 3516 Configuration Utility>. Press “the Enter” for RAID configuration/management.

Step 2: Select Create Virtual drive , then select the RAID level, strip size, read, write, access policy and initializations.

Step 3: Select drives which to be included in RAID volume, then apply the changes.

Step 4: Save configuration after completed the all of RAID configurations, then confirm with the operation.

4.2 Install Windows OS In UTran RAID Card
Step 1: Boot from USB or CD-ROM, then loading UTran Windows Driver (check page 6 for driver downloading).

Step 2: After Windows driver loading successfully, select the virtual disk(RAID volume) and continue on Windows installation process.
