IMPORTANT NOTES
* This document explains the specifications of the product at the time that the
document was issued. For the latest information, refer to www.v-moda.com.
* Use a standard USB AC adaptor (5V /over 500mA) for charging.
* This product is equipped with a lithium-ion battery.
* Even if you do not use this product for an extended period of time, you should charge
it once every three months to prevent the internal lithiumion battery from degrading.
* Ambient temperature range during charging: 5–35°C
* However, in order to take full advantage of the rechargeable lithium-ion battery’s
performance, we recommend that you charge it in a temperature range of 10–30°C.
* Take care not to pinch your fingers when opening or closing the headphones.
* Charge the device using the included USB cable. Do not use the included USB cable
with any other device.

S-80 is a cutting-edge true wireless on-ear headphone which doubles as a personal
speaker, with award-winning V-MODA sound and inspired design ensuring you have
a premium audio experience perfect for any and every occasion. It takes V-MODA
customization to a whole new level, enabling you to customize how your headphones
sound via the V-MODA app just as much as how they look, with brand-new magnetic
shields allowing you to change your look as easily as changing your t-shirt.
S-80 is the first V-MODA headphone to be built with swivel earcups, allowing you to
comfortably wear them around your neck in between sessions, or activate them as a
personal stereo. To complete the firsts of S-80's revolutionary design, its customization
features magnetic shields which can be laser engraved or color printed with your own
logo, design or monogram, with a plethora of base shield colors to choose from making it
easy to be bold and express your own personal style to the full.

Built to work with the V-MODA app, enjoy a personalized audio experience with S-80 for
over 20 hours as a headphone and 10 hours as a personal stereo on a single charge. The
in-app EQ tool puts you in control of your sound for whatever you’re listening to: keep or
adjust an expertly tuned preset or create your own sound signature from scratch.
Control your audio, answer calls and access voice assistants with an intuitive interface
designed to make life flow a little more seamlessly. While soft to the touch with a 100%
premium PU leather exterior, S-80 is extremely durable thanks to a metal-build core and
flexible headband. Memory foam cushions complete the S-80’s incredibly comfortable
design to make it perfect for ‘all day, every day’ wear.

TO USE AS A NECK SPEAKER
Turn the L/R side ear cups to the front gently until they stop

GETTING STARTED
Ensure the headphones are charged and within 1m of the device you want
to pair it with
Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to turn the headphones on
Once the blue LED starts to blink twice per second, release the button. It
will begin to search for a nearby device
Open the Bluetooth settings on your device
When “V-MODA S-80” appears in the “new Bluetooth devices” section on
your device, select it to pair
Get the V-MODA app on Google Play or the App Store.
It is recommended to charge the battery before using your headphones for the first time.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE
a.To turn headphones on, press and hold the Power button for 1 second
b. The LED indicator will illuminate blue if a device is paired
c. To turn headphones off, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds until you
hear the Power Off sound
a.Ensure the headphones are switched off, charged and within 1m of the device
b. Activate Bluetooth in the settings of your new device
c. Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds until you hear the pairing sound
to turn the headphones on and enter secondary pairing mode (sonar sound)

d.When “V-MODA S-80” appears in the “new Bluetooth devices” section on your
device, select it to pair
Note: The headphones' memory can hold up to 2 devices. You will only need to
re-pair a device if the headphones are reset or if you pair a 3rd device. Pairing a 3rd
device will overwrite the first device paired.
a.Ensure that the first pairing and secondary pairing procedures have been
completed
b. To switch between devices via multipoint, ensure that both of your paired devices
have Bluetooth activated
c. Turn the headphones off and then on again
d.Select “V-MODA S-80” in the Bluetooth settings of the device you want to play
audio from
e. Press “Play” to play audio from your selected device
f. The headphones will now switch its active connection to your selected device
You may only listen to audio from one device at a time

Wear the headphones on your neck with ear cups facing
front to use it as a neck speaker.
To use as a neck speaker
Turn the L / R side ear cups to the front gently until they
stop. Adjust volume with "+" and "-" button.
*Equalizer will be set as a "SPEAKER"
To turn the volume up further (LOUD MODE)
If you set in a "Loud Mode", the volume will be boosted.

LOUD MODE
Press and hold "MULTIFUNCTION" and "+" at the same time for 3 seconds
Note: Do not use it on your ears when S-80 is in a Loud Mode to protect your ears.
For safe use, S-80 volume turns up when the ear cups are facing forward.
When ear cups are positioned back to headphone position, the volume turns down.
*Equalizer setting will be "HEADPHONE"
To turn back to normal volume mode (LOW MODE)
LOW MODE
Press and hold "MULTIFUNCTION" and "-" at the same time for 3 seconds
*When S-80 power is turned on, it is set as a Low Mode.

Connect the USB-C charging cable to charge headphones
To prevent malfunction or equipment failure, turn the volume down and turn the
headphone off before connecting to a power source

a.Press and hold Volume Up and Volume Down for 5 seconds until you hear the
reset sound
b. The Power button LED will blink blue to confirm the reset

GETTING STARTED WITH THE APP
Get the “V-MODA HEADPHONE EDITOR” app from Google Play or the App Store and
download/install the app to your device
Pair the headphones with your device settings
Go to GETTING STARTED and follow the procedure
If you're using an already-paired mobile device:
CONNECTING (PAIRED DEVICES)
a.To turn headphones on, press and hold the power button for 1 second
b. The LED indicator will illuminate blue if a device is paired
Open and activate “V-MODA HEADPHONE EDITOR” app
If you see “V-MODA S-80” on the screen, select it to connect. Tap "pairing" if the
app screen asked you for pairing. When the update software is available, you will
receive a notification to update the software.

If the headphones update cannot be completed, please note the following and
update again
• Fully charge the headphones and your device
• Move the device closer to the headphones
• Move away from any possible interference (wireless routers, other Bluetooth
devices, microwaves etc.)
• Close any application on your device that is not in use and disable Wi-Fi
In case, you cannot connect
After closing the app and disconnect Bluetooth, try the following procedures:
a.Delete V-MODA S-80 from Bluetooth device list of your device
b. Clear headphones' device paired history by following STEP BY STPE GUIDE and
RESET PAIRED DEVICES HISTORY
c. Retry the pairing by following the pairing procedure
d.Even after trying this procedure if you are not able to connect, reboot your device
and try pairing procedure again

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are experiencing trouble with your headphones, please refer to the troubleshooting
guidelines below. If the problem persists, please contact the V-MODA Support Team or
the nearest Roland service center.
