How to prevent damage to the appliance
䡲Switch the appliance off in the case of overtemperature (error display
) and let it cool down completely.
䡲Do not step on the appliance.
䡲Sudden impact, e. g. from a falling salt shaker, can damage the surface.
Do not keep such objects above the appliance.
䡲Do not place hot cookware on the frame.
䡲Use the two turners to turn food. It is possible to use a knife to cut on the
grilling surface, but this is not recommended, as it is likely to scratch the
surface. Do not use ceramic knives to cut on the grilling surface.
䡲Never hit the grilling surface with the turner or the tip a the knife, as this
could nick the grilling surface.
䡲Intensive and prolonged use of the appliance may require additional venti-
lation, e.g. an open window, or effective ventilation, e.g. operation of the
mechanical ventilation device at a higher setting.
䡲Do not use the appliance as a storage place. In particular, do not put any
flammable material, cardboard or plastic packaging on it.
䡲Objects made of tin, zinc or aluminium (including aluminium foil or an emp-
ty espresso maker) can melt on the hot grill zones and cause damage.
䡲Clean the appliance thoroughly after use to prevent any food remaining on
the surface from encrusting.
䡲Use a damp cloth for cleaning. Never spray the appliance with water. Never
use a steam cleaner. Water seeping into the appliance can cause damage!
䡲The hard chromium plated grilling surface will show signs of wear over
time. This, however, does not affect the appliance’s function or quality.
䡲Only original fittings may be used in order to ensure safe operation of this
hob.
The surface is not sensitive to heat (up to 300 °C) and temperature
fluctuations, and, to some extent, scratch and impact resistant. Never-
theless, observe the following instructions to avoid damage.
