For use on all vehicles.
Please read and follow carefully.
-Assemble your racks as shown in the photos.
-Ensure bases and vehicle is clean, and then place a rack on flat area of
hood/bonnet on passenger side.
-If necessary gently bend the metal plate so that each base sits evenly in
line with the surface. (see enclosed drawing)
-Press down on a base and operate the levers.
-Check the other base is in line with the surface and repeat.
-Fit the other rack on a flat area of roof or windshield.
-Attach rods with reels forward and loop elastics over bar ends.
-Elastic tension can be adjusted using the teeth under the bar.
-Check security by pulling gently on the bases, not the “T”s.
-Levers must be in the UP/OFF position in storage.
IMPORTANT NOTES
-Vac Racs are designed for fishing rods only and should be removed after
use.
-Not for use on ice covered vehicles.
-Wet vehicles –wipe off excess water.
-Cars parked under trees, long term, can build up aphid deposits.
-To avoid rod whipping do not drive at high speed.
-If a base is sitting correctly there is short lever movement before it “bites”
and then strong resistance.
-If the lever moves half way or more, before resistance is felt, the base is
not sitting properly. See above.
-If you accidentally deform the bases, put them on a smooth clean surface
with the levers in UP/OFF position. (They will gradually return to their
shape at room temperature).
