Intended Use
VH-1500 Respiratory Humidifier is designed to warm and add
humidity to gases for patients who require respiratory support.
The warm and moisture are supplied by passing the gas over the
surfa e of heated water in humidifi ation hamber.
The produ t has 9 temperature settings.
The highest power level presents the highest level of vaporized
water.

● If sti ky sputum takes pla e under high heater level, humidifier
with servo- ontrol is re ommended for usage.
● For patients with low temperature (ex. infants) respiratory
humidifier with servo- ontrol is re ommended for usage.

●Do not try to dismantle or/and repair the devi e by yourself if it
is malfun tion. Please onta t lo al distributor for the servi e.

malfun tion, in lude in neonatal, hild, and adult.

servo ontrol, invasive ventilation. The VH-1500 an provide
maximal flow rate is 40 LPM.

The repro essing of the a essories:
● Breathing ir uit:
1. Dismantle all omponents ex ept the stainless steel spring
atta hed to the body of water trap
2. Clean the parts with low flow running water, using a soft
brush to remove all foreign material. (for example, soil or
organi matter)
3. Sterilization by auto lave: 132℃/ 4minutes.
● Chamber:

● Filter:
1. Take ouplings apart from the filter and use detergent
ompatible with polysulfone to lean the shell of filter with a
damp loth.
2. The filter has to be sterilized before use and reuse. VADI
only re ommends steam auto laving with wrapping the filter
in sterilization pou h at temperature at 132℃ for 4 minutes
(require at least 20 minutes drying y le after sterilization),
omplying with the steam auto lave manufa turer’s
instru tions .

Temperature a ura y:±3℃。
Over-heated prote tion:
if the heater temperature ex eeds 95±6℃, the power to the
heated plate is dis ontinued and the Power-on/off will not be
operative.
Low Temperature Alarm:
30 min after operation, the temperature of the heater plate is 5℃
lower than setting. The display will be shown “L” and emit an
alarm.
High Temperature Alarm:
While the temperature of heater plate is over 85±3℃, the display
will be shown “H” and emit an alarm.

3. Controls and Indicators
Devi e ontrol panel has 3 main buttons, power level
orresponding with temperature s heme.
Powe On: P ess the “Powe On” button to tu n on. P ess the on/off switch
again to tu n off the humidifie .
+Heating-powe Up (silence button):
inc ease the heating level by p essing the button.(p ess this button to cut off
the ala m signal; ala m continues signal afte 2 minutes)
-Heating-powe Down:
dec ease the heating level by p essing the button.(p ess this button to cut off
the ala m signal; ala m continues signal afte 2 minutes)
The scheme of powe level shows the tempe atu e of heate plate.
▲Caution:
- 0Heate level is Stand by, heate plate is not heated.
- If the ove tempe atu e p otection is activated, the heate plate is not
heated; the cont ol panel shows 『H』.
- Tempe atu e at patient’s side will be diffe ent f om the heate plate’s, due
to tubing size, length, flow ate and oom tempe atu e affection.
Comment:The momete is ecommended to use fo mo e accu ate
tempe atu e data on patient’s side.

4. Setting up the humidifier

▲Attention:
- Water level should not ex eed the highest level and should not
be less than the lowest level.

- Do not use any blanket to over the breathing ir uit.

-Suggested environment temperature: 18~26°.
-Suggested environmental pressure: 700~1060 hPa.
-Humidity Output: >33mg/l within re ommended flow range.

Attention:
● Water vapor in humidifi ation hamber is observed during
normal operation.
● If there is no flow, turn off the humidifier.
● Water traps are re ommended for use to olle t water
ondensation due to differen es in temperature.
● Absorbent paper is re ommended for usage to in rease the
temperature and moisture performan e.
● It is not allowable to heat the hamber without distilled water.

5. Performance Data
Follow the next steps to ondu t produ t test:
5.1 Put temperature tester on heater plate.
5.2 Set temperature level as 3, he k if the temperature is
orrespondent to the indi ator on devi e panel.
5.3 Set temperature level as 6, he k if the temperature is
orrespondent to the indi ator on devi e panel.
5.4 Set temperature level as 9, he k if the temperature is
orrespondent to the indi ator on devi e panel.
Suggested Tester: Fluke 572 Thermometer (A ura y ±1.0℃)
Note: Please make performan e test every 12 months.
6. Disposition
Please dispose humidifier a ording to the lo al rules of the
disposition of ele troni devi es.
7. Cleaning
The Heater base may be wiped with a damp loth with using lean
water.
8. Maintenance

8.2 Che k the heater plate for s rat hing, dirt or moisture;
repla e if ne essary.
