Preparations prior to installation
A. If there is an exterior vent outlet, your extractor fan can be connected to this. As shown below,
using an extractor hose (non-inammable material or exible, aluminium or enamelled hose with
an internal diameter of 150 mm) (Figure 1)

The ventilation ducts are not supplied.

B. Before installing the appliance, turn it off and unplug it from the electrical socket. (Figure 2)

C. The extractor fan must be installed at a distance of 65~75 cm above the hob for optimum
efcacy. (Figure 3)

CAUTION:
Follow the warnings given in the instructions with regard
to using the appliance in the mode that extracts air into the
room.
Fixing to a wall
1. Drill 2 holes, 8 mm in diameter, in a suitable location, centring them in relation to the hole at
the back of the extractor fan. (These two holes must be horizontally aligned) (Figure 4)
2. Insert 2 wall plugs and two 4x30 mm headless screws (The screws must not be screwed in
completely; 2-3 mm must be left protruding in order to be able to hang the extractor on them).
3. Lift up the extractor and hang it on the wall.
4. Mark and drill 2 holes, 8 mm in diameter, and insert 2 safety screws with 2 wall plugs and two
4x30 mm headless screws.

Fixing under a cabinet
1. Drill 4 holes, 6 mm in diameter, under the wall cabinet.
2. Install the extractor fan under the wall cabinet and x it using the 4 screws provided. (Figure
5
)

supplied.

Recycling version
Ask your activated carbon lter vendor about transforming the extractor from the evacuation
version to the recycling version.
Install the activated carbon lter (cassette):
• Check that the diameter of the activated carbon lter matches that of the outlet.
• If necessary, remove the pre-tted diameter adapter.
• Place the activated carbon lter on the outlet, then x it in place by turning it anti-clockwise.
Install the activated carbon lter (to be cut):
• To install the activated carbon lter, the metal lter must rst be removed.
• Open the metal lter, press on the locking mechanism, then pull the lter downwards.
• Place the pre-cut lter above the metal lter. Hold this in position using metal clips (supplied,
depending on the model).
• Replace the metal lter in its original position.
PEASE NOTE:
Ensure that the lter is xed correctly; if not, it risks coming
loose and causing a danger.

PEASE NOTE:
The installation of a carbon lter reduces the fan’s extraction
power. It is recommended the extractor fan be turned
on for a few minutes before starting to cook. Likewise, it
is recommended turning it off 15 minutes after nishing
cooking in order to eliminate as much of the odours and
stale air as possible.

Maintenance
Turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
Periodic cleaning
Use a soft cloth, dampened with warm soapy water or
household detergent. Do not use a metal pad, abrasive or
chemical products/tools, or a hard-bristled brush to clean
the appliance.
Monthly cleaning of the grease filter
ESSENTIAL: Clean the filter every month to prevent a risk of
fire. The filter collects the fat, fumes and dust; it therefore
has a direct impact on the efficacy of the extractor fan. If it
is not cleaned, the fat residue (potentially inflammable) will
block it. Clean it using a household detergent.
Annual cleaning of the activated carbon filters
ONLY applicable to the apparatus installed in recycling mode
(no air extraction outdoors). This filter traps the odours and
must be changed at least once a year, depending on the
frequency at which the extractor fan is used.
• With regard to the information for installing and replacing
the bulb, refer to the following paragraph of the instructions.
• Use a type DBR-2-H-120 lightbulb or an equivalent
alternative (code ILCOS D, according to standard IEC 61231).
