Introduction to the
Cave IP Camera
Contents UK Before you attempt to pair
the Cave IP Camera with your
Cave Smart Hub please read the
following note.
IMPORTANT: During pairing the
Cave IP Camera will make 3
specic sounds.
‘Sonic Wave’ - A continual sound
where the Cave IP Camera and
Cave app communicate.
‘Bong’ - This will sound every 25
seconds to signify the IP camera
is in pairing mode.
‘Success Tone’ - A higher
pitched ring that will sound only
once, the ‘Sonic Wave’ may
continue to sound after the
‘Success Tone’ but you should
press ‘Next’ to nalise pairing.

Pairing the
Cave IP Camera
to the Cave system
STEP 1
UK Plug the Cave IP Camera into a
power source. Open the Cave app and
press the ‘Add Accessory’ button then
press ‘By scanning QR Code’.

STEP 2
UK Scan the QR Code on the base of
the camera using the scan window in
the app. Next enter your wi details in
wi settings and press ‘Start’.

STEP 3
UK Once the ‘Sonic Wave’ sound
starts press the ‘RESET’ button on the
back of the camera once. Ensure your
device is close to the camera during
pairing.

STEP 4
UK After approx 30 secs the green light on
the front of the camera will start flashing
indicating pairing. During pairing a ‘Bong’
tone will sound every 25 secs, do not
confuse this with the success tone. Wait
until you hear a higher-pitched success
tone before pressing ‘Next’.

STEP 5
UK Name the camera and press
the tick icon top right. In the
System Settings click on the
‘Smart Cameras’ link. Initially, the
camera will be offline, press the
‘!’ icon.

STEP 6
UK To view the camera for the
rst time you will be prompted
to reset the password, press ‘OK’
and enter a new password. Once
conrmed the camera will be
online and ready to view.

appuyez sur «OK»et entrez un
nouveau mot de passe. Une fois

UK Motion Detection & Recording - Records
an 18 sec video (3 secs of pre-recording) when
movement is detected. Videos are saved directly
onto an SD card (not included) To activate:
1. Install an SD card (up to 128GB).
2. Enter the camera settings.
3. Click ‘Motion Detection & Recording’ to activate.
View the recordings using ‘Play Video Recordings’.
Other settings
1. Sync time zones
2. Horizontal/vertical flip corrects camera view.
3. Change wi settings. You need to press the reset
button on the camera for approx 5 secs until you
hear a beep, then wait 25 secs before attempting
to pair the camera to the Smart Hub again.
4. Format SD card.

- Enregistre une vidéo de 18 sec (3 secs de pré-

3. Modiez les paramètres wi. Vous devez appuyer

photo pendant environ 5 secs jusqu’à ce que
vous entendiez un bip, puis attendre 25 secs
avant d’essayer de coupler à nouveau l’appareil
photo au Smart Hub.
4. Formatez la carte SD.

Using the camera
with a generic app
UK The Cave IP Camera will work
independently from the Smart
Hub as a standalone IP camera
with a generic (non-Cave) app.
We recommend ‘GrapeCam’
available on iOS & Android.
Download the app and follow
the same pairing instructions as
used for the Cave version.

UK How do you reset the Cave IP camera?
Press and hold the reset button, on the back of the
camera, for approx 5 secs until you hear a ‘Beep’.
The camera will take up to 30 secs to complete
the reset.
