4. Overview
Refer to the illustrations on page 2of this manual.
5. Operation
You can use the device to:
•Deliver a speech
•Play a sound file
•Combine speech and sound files
5.1 Deliver a speech
1. Insert the headset in the MIC in jack.
2. Put on the headset. Make sure the microphone is facing your mouth to avoid feedback effect and to
enhance voice clarity.
3. Turn on the device.
4. Use the volume control wheel to set the volume to an appropriate level.
5. Make sure the playback function is turned off (press @@@ to do so).
6. You can start speaking.
5.2 Play a sound file from a USB key or SD card
1. Turn on the device.
2. Connect an USB key or a SD card to the device.
3. Press the Play button to start playing the sound file.
Volume
•To increase the volume: keep the Next button pressed.
•To decrease the volume: keep the Back button pressed
Playback
•To go to the next track: briefly press the Next button.
•To go to the previous track: briefly press the Back button.
You can also use the headset to listen to the sound file.
5.3 Play music from a CD, DVD...
1. Turn on the device.
2. Use an appropriate 3,5 mm jack to connect the device with the music source (CD, DVD).
3. Make sure the volume on the music source is turned down.
4. Press the Play function on the source button to start playback.
5. Raise the volume on the music source.
6. Use the volume control wheel on the device to set the volume to an appropriate level
You can also use the headset to listen to the music source.
5.4 Combine speech and sound files
1. Insert the headset in the MIC in jack
2. Connect an USB key or a SD card in the device.
3. Set the volume to an appropriate level
4. Turn on the device
5. You can start speaking. To combine speech and sound files, press the Play/Pause button. The device
will now play the file on the USB key or SD card.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Charging the device
To charge the device:
1. Connect the device to the power adapter.
2. The charging indicator turns red. The indicator will turn green when the device is fully charged.
3. The device takes about 7 hours to fully charge.
Note: the device will charge faster if turned off.
6.2 Batteries
•The device comes with 2 rechargeable batteries.
•If you need to replace the batteries, only use batteries of the same type (see Specifications).
WARNING: Do not puncture or throw batteries in fire as they might explode. Dispose
of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
