GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the instruction manual carefullybefore using the product.
If you give the product to a third party ensure that the instruction manual is included as well.
Check that the voltage marked on the rating label matches the AC voltage of the main power supply.
Location of Unit
The product must be placed on a flat stable surface and should not be subjected to rigorous vibrations.
Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The product may fall, causing serious injury to a child
or adult and serious damage to the product. Excessive force anduneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to
overturn.
The power supply source must be located near the product and should be easily accessible.
Temperature
Avoid extreme temperatures, hot or cold. Place the product well away from heat sources such as radiators or gas/electric burners.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other sources of heat.
Naked Flames
Never place any type of candle or naked flame near the product.
Moisture
To prevent the risk of fire, electric shock or product damage, do not expose to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing or any other
liquid. No objects filled with liquid, such as vases, should be placed on the product.
If you spillanyliquid into the product. Switch the product off immediately. Remove the power plug from the wall power socket and
consult a qualified technician or your dealer.
Ventilation
To prevent the risk of electric shock or fire hazard due to overheating, ensure that curtains and other material do not obstruct the
ventilation vents.
Do not install or place the product in a bookcase, built-in cabinet or in other confined spaces. Ensure that the unit is well ventilated.
Safety
Always disconnect the product from the main power sourcebefore connecting/disconnecting other electrical devices or moving the
product.
Unplug the unit from the main power sourceduring a lightning storm.
If the product willnot be used for long time for example over one week; you are advised to unplug it for safety.
Power Cable
Do not use the product if the power cord is damaged in any way. If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent, or a qualified technician.
Interference
Do not place the product on or near appliances that may cause electromagnetic interference. It may adversely affect the
performance of the unit, and cause distorted sound.
Batteries
Batteries used in the product could easily be swallowed by young children and this is dangerous.
Keep loose batteries away from babies and children and make sure that the battery holder tray is secure in the unit and tightly
fastened .Seek medical advice if you suspect a battery/cell has been swallowed.
Please dispose of the batteries correctly by following the guidance in this manual.

Supervision
Never allow children to insert foreign objects in the holes, slots or any other opening as this could result in an electric shock, fire
hazard or could be fatal.
This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical or sensory capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of this product by a person
responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the CD RADIO BOOMBOX.
CAUTION: PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS.TO AVOID DANGER OF SUFFOCATION, PLEASEKEEP THIS BAG AWAY
FROM BABIES AND CHILDREN.
Service
To prevent the risk of electric shock, do not remove screws. The product does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Please leave
all maintenance work to qualified personnel.
Maintenance
Unplug the product from the wall power socket before cleaning.
Do not use any type of abrasive pad or abrasive cleaning solutions as these may damage the product surface.
Do not use liquid to clean the product.
Class 1 Laser Product
This product utilizes a laser. Use of controls, adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may
result in hazardous radiation exposure.
Before removing the unit, ensure that the disc tray is empty.
Always remove the disc when the unit is empty.
Failure to do so may damage the disc and the unit.
Do not stack the device. Heat from other devices may affect the performance of the product.
CLASS 1
LASER PRODUCT
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of not
insulated “dangerous voltage” within the unit’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute the risk of an
electric shock.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and
maintenance (servicing) instructions in the manual accompanying the unit.

Power Supply
Connect AC power
Caution:
Ensure that the power supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the rating label located on the back or bottom of the unit.
Warning:
When you disconnect the AC power cord, always pull the power plug out of the wall first.
Note: Install the product near the wall power socket and where the AC power plug can be easily reached.
1. Connect the power cord to the AC IN jack on the unit and to the wall outlet.
2. To save energy: After use, switch OFF.
Install batteries (not included)
Note: Use DC batteries for the product.
Batteries are not supplied.
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Insert 6 x DC1.5V “C” (UM-2“C”) batteries with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Handling the batteries
Never use batteries that show signs of electrolyte leaks or cracking.
Never dispose of used batteries in an open fire.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Never short circuit battery terminals.
Always remove dead batteries from the product.
Do not mix up different kind of batteries or new and empty batteries together.
Only use batteries of the recommended or equivalent type.
Remove batteries from the unit at the end of its service life.
Dispose of the batteries in accordance with local regulations.
General Operations
1. To switch on and select your operation source, adjust the Function Selector to CD/AUX IN-OFF-RADIO.
2. Adjust the sound with Volume Control.
3. To switch off the unit, adjust the Function Selector to OFF.
Note: To avoid unnecessary energy consumption, always adjust the Function Selector to OFF.
Radio Reception
1. Adjust the Function Selector to RADIO.
2. Adjust the Band Selector to AM FM or FM ST.
3. Turn the Tuning Knob to tune to the desire station.
Note: The FM stereo indicator comes on if the band selector is set on FM stereo and you have turned the radio to FM stereo again.
Helpful hints:
To improve FM reception, you can extend or rotate the telescopic antenna for best reception.
To improve AM reception, turn the unit to face a different direction.

CD/MP3/USB Operation
You can play audio CDs including CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 files and USB devices with MP3 files.
Note:
It is not possible to offer a 100% guarantee that all CD-R/RW discs can be playback; it depends on the quality of the blank discs and
the copying, among other things. A playback failure does not necessarily indicate that the unit is malfunctioning.
You cannot play CDs encoded with copyright protection technologies.
Play a CD or MP3
1. Adjust the Function Selector to CD//AUX IN.
2. To open the CD door, raise it at the corner marked PUSH/OPEN.
3. Insert a CD with the printed side facing up.
The total number of tracks in the disc will display.
If no disc, display the display will reflect “NOC”.
If CD door is not closed, display will reflect “OPE”.
4. To start:Playback resumes automatically.
5. To pause/resume play, press the Play/Pause button.
6. To stop play, short press the Stop button.
7. To skip a track, press the Back or Next buttons.
8. To searchwithin a track, press and hold the Back or Next buttons. Release the button to
resume normal play.
9. The press the Next or Back buttons to select a file you want to play.
Play from USB devices
Note: Ensure that the USB device contains MP3 audio files.
1. Insert the USB device to the USB port.
2. Press the STOP button to switch to USB playback mode.
3. To pause/resume play, press the Play/Pause button.
4. To stop play, press the Stop button.
5. To skip a track, press the Back or Next buttons.
6. Press the Next or Back buttons to select a file you want to play.
7. To exit USB mode, press Stop /USB/CD button to stop playback, press the stop button again,
to switch from USB mode to CD or MP3 disc mode.
CD/MP3/USB Operation
Play options
Adjust volume level
1. During playback, turn Volume Control to increase/decrease the volume level.
Select Repeat modes
1. Press the Repeat button to select a play mode:
Press once: repeat the single track.
Press twice : repeat the selected Document folder

Press three times: repeat the whole disc.
2. To return to normal play, press Repeat button again until no repeat mode icon is displayed.

Program play sequence/Random
You can store up to 20 tracks (CD mode). Press the stop button to make sure that all previous programs will be cleared.
1. In the stop mode, press the PROGRAM. button to activate programming.
"PROG" and "P01" appears on the display.
Press NEXT or PREV button repeatedly to select the track you want to play.
2. Press the button to store the desired number of tracks programmed.
3. Repeat steps 1-2 to select the additional tracks into programme memory.
programming is full, "PROG" and "P20"willappear on the display.
4. To play your programme, press the Play/Pause button .
5. To erase a programme, press the Stop button in stop mode or by opening the CD door.
6. When the CD is being played, press Random will play the tracks randomly.
Maintenance
Cleaning the cabinet
Use a soft slightly damp cloth with a milddetergent solution. Do not use a solution containing alcohol, spirits, ammonia or abrasives.
Clean discs
When a disc becomes dirty, clean it with a soft cloth. Wipe the disc from the centre outwards.
Do not use solvents such as benzene, thinners, commercially available cleaners, or anti - septic spray intended for analogue records.
Clean the disc lens
After prolonged use, dirt or dust may accumulate on the disc lens. To ensure good quality playback, clean the disc lens with a camera
lens brush or any commercially available cleaners. Follow the instructions supplied with cleaner.

If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set in for repair.
If you are unable to resolve a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service center.
Note: Do not open the unit as this could result in an electric shock. Under no circumstance should you try to repair the set yourself.
Please consult a qualified technician or your nearest service centre.
No power
Ensure that the power cord is connected securely.
Ensure that there is power at the main power supply.
Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly.
No sound or poor sound
Adjust the volume.
No response from the unit
Disconnect and re-connect the AC power cord, then turn on the unit again.
Electrostatic discharge, re-connect the AC power cord after a few seconds.
No disc detected
Insert a disc.
Check if the disc is inserted upside down.
Wait until the moisture condensation on the lens has cleared.
Replace or clean the disc.
Use a finalized CD or correct format disc.
The CD skips tracks
Ensure that the CD is not damaged or dirty.
Ensure that the programme mode is not activated.
USB device not supported
If the USB device is incompatible with the product. Try another one.
Poor radio reception
Increase the distance between the unit and your TV or any home appliance.
Fully extend the telescopic antenna
Environmental information
The packaging can be easily separated into three material types: Cardboard, polystyrene and plastic.
This packaging consists of material that can be recycled, if dismantled by a specialized company. Please observe the local regulations
regarding the disposal of packaging, dead batteries and old equipment.
