Please read carefully all the terms of this manual before using the unit.
This manual will help you get started with using your head unit.
Please keep this book in a safe place for future reference.
The navigation features of this product (and the DVR, reversing camera
option if purchased) are intended solely to aid you in the operation of your
vehicle. It is not a substitute for your attentiveness, judgment, and care
while driving.
Our units are designed for DIY installation. If the customer decides to take
to an auto electrician or a repairer then the cost of this will be at the
expense of the customer. Vhedia will bear no responsibility for these
expenses. In the event of a return for a faulty item. Vhedia will organise
and pay for the return shipping costs and provide a replacement unit and
help troubleshoot the issue. We will not cover the cost of a third party
doing troubleshooting or if they need to rework the replacement unit. Our
friendly staff is here to help on our live chat or by phone Monday to Friday.
The 3-year warranty policy may be invalidated if you do not comply with the
manual and cause product failure. We disclaim any liability for any bodily
injury or property damage that might result from any improper or
unintended use.

To ensure safety and obey the traffic rules, please do not watch video
and operate the unit while driving.
Please keep this product away from liquids to avoid electric shock.
If liquid or foreign object got inside the head unit, park your car in a
safe place, turn the ignition switch off (ACC OFF) immediately, and
consult your dealer. Do not use this product in this condition to avoid a
fire, electric shock, or other failure.
Please do not use the car audio for long time after turning off the
engine. Or it will exhaust the battery.
Please do not insert other objects into the vents or other openings of
the head unit. (except for simcard ejector/paperclip in the RST pinhole
needed ONLY when doing hard reboot).
Please do not use sharp object to touch, rub or tap the screen.
The head unit is applicable to vehicles with 12V power supply. Please do
not install it directly on the vehicles with 24V to avoid product failure.
Please turn off the car and disconnect ACC from B+ before installation
to avoid a short circuit.

Vhedia M Series Head Unit supports the factory camera and Vhedia reverse camera
in the kit. Remember to set up the reverse camera settings after you wired it up to
make sure it will work properly.
FACTORY REVERSE CAMERA:
- Go to Settings > Car Infotainment > About Device > Fill in password 8878 > Backcar Setup
- Cam Type, select (0 CVBS) > CamFormat, select ( 1: NTSC or 2: PAL) choose the one based on
what your factory camera uses but the majority uses NTSC
- Tap SAVE > OK to reboot
- Your reverse camera should start working after the reboot
VHEDIA REVERSE CAMERA:
- Go to Settings > Car Infotainment > About Device > Fill in password 8878 > Backcar Setup
- Cam Type, select (1 AHD) > CamFormat, elect ( 3: 720P-25 or 4: 720P-30)
- Tap SAVE > OK to reboot
- Your reverse camera should start working after the reboot
NOTE: If your factory or vhedia reverse camera still doesn't work, make sure that you wired it up
correctly. You may use the installation video on our youtube channel depending on your car model
for reference. You may also reach out to our support via Phone, Email, or Chat.

When you turn on the head unit, it boots into the main interface. You can
swipe left or right from the home screen to access other widgets. You can
also change the apps from the home screen and customize them based on
the apps that you often use.
Calendar and Clock - We made it easier for you to see the time and date on
the head unit so you don't need to browse the apps.
Radio - Accesing the Radio is just one-tap away, you can also scan or skip
stations directly from the home screen
Music Player - Allows you to play music that are saved on your head unit's
storage directly from the home screen
Navigation - Navigation widget can be linked to your favorite Navigation
app so you can multi-task (skip music, keep track of the time, play radio
without needing to keep the Navi app separately open

WIFI SETTINGS - Tap Network & Internet from the System Settings page. Tap
WiFi to enter the WiFi Settings page, the system will automatically search
for an available network, to connect, simply select the WIFI name, tap it
then input the password. The WIFI icon will appear at the top of the
notification bar once connected.

CONNECTING BLUETOOTH - To use the bluetooth hands-free feature, you first need
to connect your phone and head unit via Bluetooth. You can also connect other
devices like OBD2 scan tool etc.,
1) Turn on the Bluetooth of your phone.
2) Open the head unit's Bluetooth app and tap the search/magnifying glass icon on
the top right corner of the app. The head unit will look for devices and simply tap on
the phone you want to connect to the head unit.
3) Once done, you will receive a notification on your phone asking for a password
and simply put "0000". At times, you will just be given an option to tap Pair. Also
make sure to allow the head unit to access contacts if you'd like to sync your
contacts on the head unit for easier access.

4) After pairing, the head unit and phone will be successfully connected.
4) If you would like to sync your phone contacts to the head unit, tap the contact
icon or the person icon from the right menu of the Bluetooth app. From there, tap
the download/sync icon and wait for the sync to finish.
DIALING - After the Bluetooth hands-free system connects with the mobile
phone’s Bluetooth, the end user can dial directly by phone, touch the screen’s
number keys, or through contacts
When receiving incoming calls, a pop-up will show up where you can tap the
answer/ decline button. To change the speaker output, you may tap the speaker or
BT icon as shown below

BLUETOOTH MUSIC PLAYING- If your mobile phone supports Bluetooth music
playing function, open the Music player or app on your phone, play a song and
simply tap the Music icon from the Bluetooth interfact to start controlling the
music.

Vhedia M Series head unit support Wireless Apple Carplay and Wireless & Wired
Android Auto. Here's how you can set it up:
WIRELESS CARPLAY - Make sure that the iPhone and Headunit are connected via
Bluetooth (refer to page 10). Once connected, open the Auto Link app from the head
unit and wait for the wireless carplay to connect. (Make sure to also keep an eye out
for a pop-up notification on your iphone as it sometimes ask permission if you want
to connect to CarPLay. Simply accept if was asked and should be all good.
WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO - Make sure that the iPhone and Headunit are
connected via Bluetooth (refer to page 10). Once connected, open the Auto Link app
from the head unit and wait for the wireless android auto to connect. (Make sure to
also keep an eye out for a pop-up notification on your phone as it sometimes ask
permission if you want to connect to CarPLay. Simply accept if was asked and should
be all good.
NOTE: You will need to have a sim card with cellular data plan inserted on the head unit's 4G
module for your head unit to and phone to have internet connection as the phone's wifi hardware
will be used to established wireless Carplay/Android Auto

WIRED ANDROID AUTO - Plug your android phone cable to your phone and the head
unit's USB port. Once done, you will see an android auto notification on your android
phone, tap on it and allow the phone to connect to Android Auto
After tapping CONNECT, open the AutoLink app on the head unit and wait for the
Anroid Auto to connect

One best feature Vhedia head unit has is that it runs Android operating system. That
means, you can install android apps on it like you would on a normal android phone.
There are two options how to install apps on your head unit
OPTION 1: GOOGLE PLAY STORE
Open PlayStore from the app menu and look for an app that you would like to install.
(NOTE: It it is your first time installing an app through the Playstore, you
will be asked to sign in your Google account. This is mandatory)
Tap install and wait for it to finish, then the app will show up on the app menu

You can also update the apps installed on the head unit by opening playstore and tap
on your profile icon > then tap on manage apps and device.
Tap on Update All if you would like to update all available updates or tap See
Details to update the apps manually or select app that you only want to update.
OPTION 2: APK FILE
Note: We do not usually recommend installing apps downloaded from the internet
(unless the app came from us or have directed you to install it).
Download the APK file from the internet using a computer or head unit. If you used a
computer, copy the APK file to a USB Flash Drive, insert the USB to the head unit
and go to FileManager to locate and install the file.
You will need to enable the "Install Unknown Apps" setting before you can install
an APK file downloaded over the internet. To do so, please follow the steps below:
Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > Special App Access > Install
Unknown apps > Go to ApkInstaller, Google Chrome, and FileManager then tap
"Allow from this source"

STEERING WHEEL CONTROL LEARNING - The steering wheel controls of the head
unit are appropriate for the original car steering wheel controls. Please note that if
your head unit has a CANBUS, you may not need to learn the steering wheel control.
Tap the SWC icon on the system setting interface to enter the steering wheel
buttons setting interface, as in the shown picture:
To set/assign functions of steering wheel buttons, tap the function you want from
the SWC setting, then press the appropriate button on the SWC

Touch the Gear/Settings icon gear on the main interface/home screen to
enter the Settings screen.
WIFI SETTINGS - Tap Network & Internet from the System Settings page. Tap
WiFi to enter the WiFi Settings page, the system will automatically search for an
available network, to connect, simply select the WIFI name, click it then input
the password. The WIFI icon will appear at the top of the notification bar once
connected.
3G/4G internet connection: Plug the USB 3G/4G device into the head unit's
USB port, and enter into the wireless network. Turn on the WIFI function, and
after 15 seconds, the WIFI icon will appear at the top of the notification bar
indicating that the connection is successful.
HOTSPOT - Go to Network and Internet > Wi-Fi Hotspot > Turn it on and off to
share Internet connection from your head unit to your other devices. You can
also change the Hotspot Name and Password.
CAR INFOTAINMENT - This gives you option to personalize your head unit to
suit how it can help you while driving the car. Includes Bluetooth Settings,
Steering Wheel Control Settings, Navigation Settings, and much more

APPS & NOTIFICATIONS -Allows you to personalise or change notifications for
apps, default apps used on the head unit, allows you to manage app permission,
clear app cache, and uninstall apps.
STORAGE - Allows you to manage your internet and extenal (optional) storage.
Give you an option to free up some space, shows you how much storage has been
used, allows you to turn on and off storage manager which you can remove older
photos and videos etc.
MEMORY -Gives you information of the total performance of your ram.
ACCOUNTS - Allows you to register your mailbox or e-mail so you can send and
receive emails conveniently directly on the head unit.
GOOGLE SETTINGS - This settings allow you to manage the google account
you've signed in to the head unit. (NOTE: any changes on google settings will
reflect to your google account and may affect other devices where your google
account is signed in)
SYSTEM - Allows you to manage languages and keyboard input. You can also
change the date and time through this setting.
ABOUT MACHINE - Gives you general information about the head unit, shows
your phone number (if you ever inserted one on our 4G antenna/module)
STEERING WHEEL CONTROL LEARNING - The steering wheel controls of the
head unit are appropriate for the original car steering wheel controls. Please
note that if your head unit has a CANBUS, you may not need to learn the
steering wheel control. Tap the SWC icon on system setting interface to enter
steering wheel buttons setting interface, as the shown picture:

Tap the Radio widget on the homescreen or the Radio app from the apps to open
the head unit's radio.
MANUAL STATION SEARCH - Tap the |< or >| icon on the Radio interface, the
system will search radio stations step by step from low-frequency to high-
frequency till you find the radio channel you want. (Note: If your head unit has a
physical TUNER knob, you can use it to search for radio frequency/channel
AUTOMATIC STATION SEARCH - Tap the magnifying glass icon on the Radio
interface, and the system will search for radio stations automatically from low
frequency to high frequency. During the searching process, tap the magnifying
glass icon again to stop searching.
AUTOMATIC STATION SAVE - Each wave band can store 6 pre-set stations. The
system can store a total of 24 pre-set stations (18 FM stations and 6 AM
stations).
Tap the FM icon to choose FM frequency as you like from P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6.
Tap the AM icon to choose AM frequency as you like from AM1, AM2.
