VIA VB7007 Overview
The VIA VB7007 Mini-ITX mainboard is a compact native x86 platform for PO and kiosk
applications. The mainboard is based on the VIA CN700 chipset featuring the VIA UniChrome™ Pro
II IGP with 2D/3D graphics and video accelerators for rich digital media performance.
The VIA VB7007 onboard VIA C7 processor is a powerful, secure, and efficient processor with its
included VIA Padlock ecurity Engine, VIA Cool tream™ Architecture, VIA tepAhead™ Technology
uite, and VIA TwinTurbo™ technology.
The VIA VB7007 delivers the performance levels with its included sizeable support of up to 1 GB of
533 MHz DDR2 memory and native support for ATA 3Gb/s storage devices. High-bandwidth
connectivity is supported with the included eight U B 2.0 ports and two Fast Ethernet LAN ports

on the back panel. Four additional U B 2.0 ports are available through the onboard pin
connectors.
The VIA VB7007 is fully compatible with Microsoft
®
and Linux operating systems and is available in
a variety of configurations.

VIA VB7007 I/O Ba k Panel Layout
The VIA VB7007 mainboard comes in the compact dimensions of 17 cm x 17 cm. Its integrated
design supports most of the standard legacy x86 connectivity options through its onboard pin
connectors. Its back panel IO includes one P /2 mouse port, one P /2 keyboard port, one parallel
port, one VGA port, one COM port, four standard U B 2.0 ports, two RJ45 LAN ports, and three
audio jacks (Line-in, Line-out, and MIC-in).

connecting to the power supply. Due to its ultra low power requirements, a 90 – 120 Watt ATX
power supply is ample for even the heaviest of multimedia system applications.

Windows 2000 and Windows XP drivers can be downloaded from the VEPD website at

VIA Arena website at www.viaarena.com.
