SAFETY INFORMATION
1. Any person intending to use this machine must read and understand all of the information contained in this
document prior to use.
2.CAUTION: This machine is NOT suitable for picking up hazardous dust or flammable materials.
Before starting this machine it is important to remember:
A) This machine should only be used by trained operators.
B) Do not use this machine unless it is in a safe condition.
Check the cable and plug for damage before use, and if necessary, replace with a new cable pack.
NOTE: Only use “Victor” approved cable from our agents or direct.
C) Always keep the cable away from the brush. Hazard may occur in machine runs over power supply cord.
D) Always work within the cable length to avoid cable stress or damage.
E) When using a solution tank ,always empty the tank after use in a safe, suitable approved location.
F) Never use dirty brushes or allow brush to become over soiled before changing.
G) This machine has been designed for use with brushes supplied by the manufacturer. The fitting of other
brushes may affect its safety.
H) Check that the voltage on the serial number plate is suitable for the supply available.
I) Only use the coupling plug socket for its intended use. (see attachments brochure).
J) DO NOT remove the supply cable from the cable harness / cable clamp
K) This appliance must be earthed. The wires in the mains lead are as follows:
Blue: - Neutral. This is connected to the terminal N
Brown: - Live. This is connected to the terminal L
Yellow / Green: - Earth. This is connected to terminal E
Products bearing this symbol should not be disposed of in your general waste. Dowding and Plummer Ltd.
Is a registered producer under the WEEE Directive (number WEEE/ABOO435Y/PRO) and has
procedures in place for dealing with end of life treatment and disposal of obligated equipment. Please

WARRANTY POLICY
With the exception of Distributors, this warranty applies to the original
purchaser of the product from Dowding & Plummer Ltd.,(The Company) for the
following periods:
Vacuum Cleaners – Motors 2 Years, all other components 1 Year
Rotary Floor Machines – Motors 2 Years, all other components 1 Year
Scrubber Driers – Control Unit and Tanks 2 Years, all other components 1 Year
Carpet Extractors – 1Year
Battery Burnishers – 1Year
Specialist Machines – 1 Year
This warranty excludes normal maintenance parts and consumables such as
hoses, filters, drive belts, floor tools, cables, capacitors, relays, skirts and pads
etc. that are considered replaceable during the normal working life of the
machine. This list is not exhaustive.
The warranty period commences from the date the goods are purchased
by the user.
All warranty claims must be processed through the Distributor from
whom the equipment was purchased.
The Distributor will be responsible for the service, maintenance and
repairs during the warranty period.
The Distributor will co-operate with the purchaser throughout the
warranty claims procedure and will arrange any necessary repairs using
genuine Victor parts.
If the original Distributor is no longer available to fulfil his obligations, or
if you did not make your original purchase through a distributor, the
Company should be contacted and given details of proof of purchase
and full details of the claim in order that the claim may be processed
without delay.
Any warranty claim can only relate to the specific part that is proven to
be at fault and for which a replacement will be supplied but cannot be
extended to constitute a claim against the complete appliance.
The Company will supply the Distributor with any warranty parts required
subject to the claim being validated after return of the faulty items in
accordance with the Company's Conditions of Sale.
All replacement parts are guaranteed for a period of 6 months.
Claims will not be accepted if they are the result of fair wear and tear,
misuse or abuse of any kind, acts of God, damage in transit other than
original product delivery, failure due to lack of proper care or
maintenance or failure to comply with safety guidance.
No replacement will be given unless the appropriate evidence of the
validity of the claim has been provided to the satisfaction of the Company.
The Company reserves the right to charge for any unnecessary work
carried out as a result of an invalid claim.
No variation to this warranty may be made or implied by any member of
the Company, its Distributors or representatives unless such variation is
in writing and authorised by the Company.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: If in doubt, refer to Fig 1 for part location in relation to machine.
1. Affix Handle to operating position. (Fig 2)
2. Remove Recovery Tank (Fig 3), Clear Dome and Transfer Hoses.
3. Fill Solution Tank with clean water (at a maximum of 60°C) and solution mixture (max. 15 ltrs) via the
opening at the front of the Solution Tank. (Fig 4.)
4. Replace Top Tank , Clear Dome and Transfer Hoses , ensuring correct seating.
5. Check mains cable for visible damage, If non detected, Plug into mains socket. If damage detected , do
not proceed and refer to safety instructions.
6. When the machine is plugged in ,ensure Green Indicator Light comes on.
7. Activate switches to choose cleaning options as follows: (Fig 5)
A) Brush.
B) Vacuum.
C) Pump. (Amber light will come on when in use)
NOTES:
• Ensure selector switch is set to Brush position. (Fig 6)
• Although the functions work independently , to operate the machine normally, only turn on the Brush and
Vacuum switches.
• Use the Handle Trigger for controlled solution spray (Fig 7) (Amber light will come on).
• If extra cleaning is needed before picking up water, use just the Brush and Pump switches.
• For constant spray, press the Pump switch to its on position. (normally used when the Carpet or
Upholstery tools are in use).
• The machine has been designed to be pulled towards the operator, not pushed away from the
operator.
Always remove plug from mains socket outlet before carrying out any routine maintenance, cleaning,
brush removal or converting the appliance to another application.
8. The pump has been fitted with a thermal trip to protect it from overheating. To prevent this , during
operation, the operator should visually check that there is constant water flow by looking at the clear
section of the hoses (Fig 8 & 9) . If the appliance is allowed to run dry the trip will activate, the amber
pump light will go out and the appliance will cease to function. If this occurs, switch off the pump , refil the
appliance with water/solution and allow upto 20 minutes for pump to cool and reset before re-starting.
9. If any foam is detected in the clear dome during operation, turn the machine off (unplug from the mains)
and either empty the machine or add defoamer to the recovery tank .
Always empty and clean Tanks after use. Only drain the Tanks and deposit soiled water or solution into
safe, suitable approved locations.
10. To empty the Recovery Tank, remove the Clear Dome, and Transfer Hoses and empty Tank.
11. To empty the Solution Tank , remove the Dump Hose from the Solution Tank and allow the solution to
flow out. ( See Above for drainage). The solution hoses shows the operator the level of cleaning solution
in the tank (Fig 9). Do not allow the level to drop below the black coloured section of the Dump Hose.
12. If during normal operation, the brush stops or cuts out ,press and hold the reset button for a few
seconds. The machine can then be restarted in the normal manner (Fig 5 D). If problem persists contact
your Victor service agent.
13. If during operation ,the Spray Jet ceases to spray solution, remove plug from socket outlet, remove the
Transfer Hoses, Recovery Tank and Clear Dome then tilt the machine back. (to gain access to the nozzle)
Remove the spray nozzle (located on the underside of the machine) by twisting it from its housing. Clean
the nozzle under a tap to release any dirt. Once done, replace the nozzle. (Fig 10).
14. If it becomes necessary to remove or check the brush , remove plug from mains socket outlet , remove
the Transfer Hose, Recovery Tank and Clear Dome, tilt the machine back to gain access to the brush.
To remove the brush turn the locking knob in the direction printed on it. (Fig 12). Once the locking knob
has been removed the brush can be removed by pulling it to the right then out. (Fig 11). When re-fitting
brush, ensure White Indicator bristles are on the R/H side (as shown).
15. If prior or during operation, damage is detected on the power cable, remove plug from the mains.
The cable can be removed from the machine by removing the attaching screw and replaced with a new
cable pack means of the attaching screw. (Fig 5 E). See Safety Instructions prior to carrying out this operation

1: UPHOLSTERY TOOL Used to clean Upholstery.

AYH 2042 - 5M Hose Assembly.
A) To attach the Upholstery tool , remove the Transfer Hose from its inlet in the Recovery Tank, and insert
one end of the 5M Hose into the now clear inlet. (1)
B) Insert the other end of the Hose into the Upholstery Tool.(2)
C) Attach one of the Coupling Plugs on the water hose to the Upholstery Tool (3) and the other end into the
Coupling Socket.(4)
D) Rotate the black Selector Lever from Brush to Tool. (5)
E) Plug Machine into mains supply, activate the Pump and Vacuum switches.
(DO NOT ACTIVATE BRUSH SWITCH).
F) Squeeze the trigger mechanism on the Upholstery tool to start solution flow.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE INFORMATION FOR USER
1. If the Spray Jet ceases to spray solution, remove the nozzle by
twisting it from its housing, rinse under a tap to release dirt and
replace.
2. Always clean all attachments after use.
3. All relevant Safety Information from main machine booklet applies.
