Hands free video monitor for VX2300 digital system.
3.5” full colour active matrix LCD monitor. 4 LED’s related to the
videophone operation. 8 capacitive touch sensitive backlight
buttons: “answer/camera recall/push to talk/end conversation”,
“door open”, “service button“, “privacy/reject call” plus another
4 buttons for programming, adjustments and intercommunica-
tion facility (available only between the Kristallo range of videophones and intercoms) that enables intercommunication between
devices in the same apartment (same PHONE ID but dierent extension address) or between devices installed in dierent apart-
ments (dierent PHONE ID). Programming: number of rings, clean mode, privacy service duration, melody type and volume, extension
ID for intercommunication. Adjustments: speech volume, picture brightness and hue

Camera recall
Press a number of times equal to the ID value of the door
panel to switch ON.
When the connection is made, press again to end the call.
Clean mode
Press and keep pressed for more than 3 seconds to enter
Clean mode.
Intercommunication call
Press as many times as the extension number (intercommuni-
cation with units in the same apartment) or address value to
call (intercommunication with units in a dierent apartment).
Melody type and volume
Press and keep pressed for more than 3 seconds to enter
Melody type and volume programming mode.
Activate bus relay board Art.2305
Press quickly as many times as the address value of the re-
lay (from 1 to 8, 1“beep” for each press).
Number of rings
Press and keep pressed for more than 3 seconds to enter
Number of rings programming mode.
Privacy service
Press to enable the privacy service. The LED turns on.
The service is deactivated by pressing again the same but-
ton or when the programmed time expires.
Privacy service duration

DURING A CALL
BUTTON OPERATION
Answer a call
Press to answer the call and start the conversation.
Open the door
Press to activate the door open relay of the outdoor unit and end the connection.
The LED will ash then the unit returns to stand-by mode.
Reject the call
During an incoming call, press this button to reject the call. The visitor doesn’t receive any warning of the call rejected.
DURING A CONVERSATION

Press to end a call.
Activate“Push to Talk” mode
Press and keep pressed for more than 1 second to activate simplex “Push to Talk” mode: press and keep pressed to talk,
release the button to listen.
Open the door
Press to activate the door open relay of the outdoor unit. The LED will ash.
Bus relay button
Press and keep pressed for more than 3 seconds to activate the internal relay (terminal Cand NO).
Camera switch button
If the door station uses the Art. 4304-4304X plus the Art. 4330, Art.4384-4304X or the Art.4302NV-4302NRV, press-
ing this button during a conversation switches the video signal coming from the camera module to the video signal
coming from the camera module input for external camera. During the conversation, press the button and the camera
switches (If no camera is connected you will see a black screen). Repeat the operation to switch back to main camera.
Art.2305 relay activation
Press to activate the programmed relay (from 1 to 4), the LED will ash.
Speech volume adjustment
Press and keep pressed for more than 3 seconds (the , and LED’s will turn on) then use or buttons to
increase or decrease the speech volume
Picture brightness and hue adjustments
• Press and keep pressed for more than 3 seconds (the , and LED’s will turn on) then use or buttons to
increase or decrease the picture brightness (double“beep”for each press).
• Press again then use or buttons to increase or decrease the picture hue (double long“beep” for each press).
PROGRAMMING
All programming options are available only when the system is in stand-by.
CLEAN MODE
1. Press and keep pressed button for more than 3 seconds to enter Clean mode: this
mode allow the user to clean or replace the front plate.
2. The LED will turn on while the and LED’s are alternately ashing for 20 seconds then the unit returns to stand-by mode.

MELODY TYPE AND VOLUME
1. Press and keep pressed button for more than 3 seconds to enter Melody type
programming mode: the LED turns on and the unit emit a “beep“.
2. After the “beep” release the button and press and keep pressed button again:
the unit will play the default melody at volume level 1.
Release the button and press and keep pressed button again: the unit will play the melody at volume level 2.
Release the button and press and keep pressed button again: the unit will play the melody at volume level 3.
Release the button and press and keep pressed button again: the unit will play the next melody at volume level 1.
3. Continue in the programming routine until the desired melody is playing at the desired volume level then wait for some sec-
onds: the unit emits a “beep” and the LED turns o.
4. The new setting is properly stored and the unit returns to stand-by mode.

NUMBER OF RINGS
1. Press and keep pressed button for more than 3 seconds to enter Number of rings
programming mode: the LED turns on and the unit emits a “beep“.
2. Press button as many rings as required: the unit emits a “beep“ every time the button is pressed.
I.E.: press 3 times for 3 rings.
3. Wait for some seconds: the LED turns o and the unit emits a “beep“ that conrms the new setting is properly stored.
4. After 5 seconds without any user action the unit returns to stand-by mode.

PRIVACY SERVICE DURATION
1. Press and keep pressed button for more than 3 seconds to enter Privacy service
duration programming mode: the LED turns on and the unit emits a “beep“.
2. Press button as many times as required. Each press is equal to 15 minutes: the
unit emits a “beep“ every time the button is pressed.
I.E.: press 4 times for 1 hour, 12 for 3 hours.
Note: To program innite privacy time don’t press any button until the unit emits a“beep”to conrms the setting.
3. Wait for some seconds: the LED turns o and the unit emits a double“beep“ that conrms the new setting is properly stored.
5. After 5 seconds without any user action the unit returns to stand-by mode.

each digit for the relevant decimal weight then sum values obtained to get the address: E.g. as highlighted in

ENABLE ART.2305 RELAY ACTIVATION DURING STANDBY
To enable the Art.2305 relay activation when the device is in
stand-by, set up dip 8 of SW1 as shown in the table to the right.
This enables you to activate the Art.2305 auxiliary relay (if pres-
ent on the system) using the , , and that activate re-
spectively the relay’s 1, 2, 3 and 4.

ENABLE INTERCOMMUNICATION CALLS
To enable the intercommunication calls between devices in the
same apartment or between devices in dierent apartments it’s
necessary to setup both dip-switches SW1 and SW3 as shown
in the table aside.

4. Set the SW1 dip-switch with the new
address you want to associate to one of
the programmable buttons.

just set. The LED’s ash alternately till
you reset the previous annotate dip-
switch setting. NOTE: the event that
the previous dip-switch settings have
not been restored after 10 seconds, the
unit will emit a long beep as reminder.
6. When button programming is complet-
ed, x the device to the wall and before
replacing the front panel, put the sys-
tem in Clean mode (see “Clean mode”
on page 2) and wait the time-out
before using the device.

INTERCOMMUNICATION MODE  SW3.1
This switch establishes the intercommunication mode: in OFF position (default) intercommunication is between units in
the same apartment (same addresses but dierent extension); in ON position the intercommunication is between units
in dierent apartments (dierent addresses).
On installations where there are more than one intercom/videophone in the same apartment and intercommu-
nication between dierent apartments is required, only one intercom/videophone may be set with this function
(SW3.1=ON, SW3.2=OFF, SW3.3=OFF). The other intercom/videophones in the apartment must be set for local intercom-
munication with extension addresses“2-4”(slaves). From the intercom/videophone set for intercommunication with other
apartments it will not be possible to intercommunicate within the apartment but slave extensions 2-4 will be able to inter-
communicate with each other within the apartment.

This setting congures the slave video monitor to be on during calling when there are more than one videophone in
the apartment (max 4).
The default is OFF, only the master videophone will show the picture during calling. The picture will only appear on the
slaves if it is answered.
ON, all video monitors will show the video during calling. For this more it is necessary to add a local Art.323/12 PSU for
the third & forth video monitor (across terminals).
This switch should also be set to ON on the master videophone when this mode is used.

BUS LINE TERMINATION
The factory pre-set is termination enabled.
In case of more units (intercoms, videophones or video mon-
itors) in a parallel connection (bus wires are connected to the
terminals of the rst unit then from this to the second and so
on up to 4 units max) Termination must be enabled only for the
last unit in the chain while on all other units it must be disabled.
This rule applies even if the devices in the apartment are of a
dierent type (Telephone videophone video monitor etc).

RESTORING FACTORY PRESET
To restore factory pre-set, proceed as follows:
• Remove power supply.
• Make a short between LB and GND terminals.
• Restore power supply and wait until LED blinks twice be-
fore removing the short.
The unit parameters are restored to factory preset.

Kristallo Series 3.5" Flush and surface videomonitor wall mounting instructions
FLUSH MOUNT KRISTALLO VIDEOPHONE
1. Protect the holes to x the videophone to the ush mounting box then embed the ush mounting box in line with the wall in a
vertical position at 135cm height from the oor as shown in Fig. 1.
2. As shown in Fig. 2, connect the wires using a at screw driver then setup the dip-switches as per provided connection diagram
or instruction sheet.
3. As shown in Fig. 3, once the wires are connected, x the videophone to the ush mounting box using a Phillips screwdriver and
the two screws provided.
In order to avoid malfunctions, please do not over tighten the xing screws shown in Fig. 3.
4. Once the videophone is xed to the ush mounting box, place the front plate against the videophone by inserting the hooks in
the corresponding openings and hook the plate by pushing it down as shown in Fig. 4.
5. Test the system for correct operation.
SURFACE MOUNT KRISTALLO VIDEOPHONE
1. As shown in Fig. 1a, place the videophone against the wall at 135cm height from the oor and mark the xing holes. Make the
holes (5mm diameter) and insert the provided wall plugs as shown in Fig. 1b.
2. As shown in Fig. 2a, connect the wires using a at screw driver then setup the dip-switches as per provided connection diagram
or instruction sheet.
3. As shown in Fig. 3a, once the wires are connected, x the videophone to the wall using a Phillips screwdriver and the two screws
provided.
In order to avoid malfunctions, please do not over tighten the xing screws shown in Fig. 3a.
4. Once the videophone is xed to the wall, place the front plate against the videophone by inserting the hooks in the correspond-
ing openings and hook the plate by pushing it down as shown in Fig. 4a and hang the handset as shown in Fig. 4b.
5. Test the system for correct operation.

Chiamata intercomunicante
Premere un numero di volte pari al numero di interno (in-
tercomunicazione tra unità nello stesso appartamento) o al
valore dell’indirizzo (intercomunicazione tra unità di diversi
appartamenti) del videocitofono da chiamare.
Tipo suoneria e volume
Premere e tenere premuto per più di 3 secondi per en-
trare nella modalità programmazione Tipo suoneria.
Attivare il relè di BUS Art.2305
Premere rapidamente un numero di volte pari all’indirizzo (1..8)
del relè da attivare (un bip viene emesso ad ogni pressione).
Numero di squilli
Premere e tenere premuto per più di 3 secondi per entra-
re nella modalità programmazione Numero di squilli.
Servizio Privacy
Premere per attivare il servizio privacy. Il LED si accende.
Il servizio viene disattivato premendo nuovamente lo stesso
pulsante o quando scade il tempo programmato.
Durata del servizio Privacy
Premere e tenere premuto per più di 3 secondi per en-
trare nella modalità programmazione Durata del servi-
zio Privacy.

Risposta alla chiamata
Premere per rispondere alla chiamata e avviare la conversazione.
Apertura della porta
Premere per attivare il relè apri-porta del posto esterno e chiudere la connessione.
Il LED lampeggia quindi l’unità torna nel modo stand-by.
Riuto della chiamata
Durante la chiamata, premere questo pulsante per riutarla. Il visitatore non riceve alcun avviso della chiamata riutata.

Aprire la porta
Premere per attivare il relè apri-porta del posto esterno e chiudere la connessione. Il LED lampeggia.

Premere e tenere premuto per più di 3 secondi per attivare il relè interno (morsetti Ce NO).
Commutare la telecamera
Se il posto esterno è composto dal portiere Art. 4304-4304X con l’Art. 4330, Art.4384-4304X o Art.4302NV-4302NRV, ed
è presente una telecamera esterna collegata all’apposito ingresso, ad ogni pressione di questo pulsante, durante la conversa-
zione, il segnale video viene commutato tra interno ed esterno o viceversa. Il segnale video che viene mostrato all’accensione
dipende dalle impostazioni del posto esterno. Se la telecamera esterna non è presente, la commutazione verso questa provo-
cherà lo schermo vuoto.
Attivare il relè Art.2305
Premere per attivare il relè programmato (da 1 a 4), il LED lampeggia.
Regolazione volume fonia
Premere e tenere premuto per più di 3 secondi (i LED , e si accendono) quindi utilizzare i pulsanti o
per incrementare o decrementare il volume della fonia.
Regolazione della luminosità e saturazione
• Premere e tenere premuto per più di 3 secondi (i LED , e si accendono) quindi utilizzare i pulsanti o per
incrementare o decrementare la luminosità dello schermo (un doppio bip viene emesso ad ogni pressione).
• Premere di nuovo e quindi utilizzare i pulsanti o per incrementare o decrementare saturazione dello schermo
(un doppio bip lungo viene emesso ad ogni pressione).
PROGRAMMAZIONE
Le programmazioni sono possibili solo quando il videocitofono è in stand-by.
MODIALITÀ PULIZIA
1. Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante per più di 3 secondi per entrare nella moda-
lità Pulizia: questa modalità permette all’utente di pulire o sostituire la placca frontale.

MODO DI INTERCOMUNICAZIONE  SW3.1
Questo switch determina la modalità di intercomunicazione: in posizione OFF (impostazione di fabbrica) è abilitata l’in-
tercomunicazione tra unità (stesso indirizzo ma numero di interno diverso) nello stesso appartamento; in posizione ON
è abilitata l’intercomunicazione tra appartamenti (diverso indirizzo).
In impianti dove nello stesso appartamento sono presenti più di un citofono/videocitofono ed è richiesta l’inter-
comunicazione tra appartamenti, solo uno dei citofoni/videocitofoni può essere impostato per questa funzione
(SW3.1=ON, SW3.2=OFF, SW3.3=OFF) mentre gli altri devono essere impostati per l’intercomunicazione locale con indiriz-
zo di interno a partire da“2” (slave). Il citofono/videocitofono così impostato potrà intercomunicare solo con le unità negli
altri appartamenti mentre gli altri citofoni/videocitofoni locali potranno intercomunicare tra di loro.

te tramite un Art.2321 collegando il morsetto BUS+ al morsetto +VAUX ed il morsetto BUS- al morsetto GND della morset-
tiera (nel caso di monitor a colori l’alimentazione locale è richiesta a partire dal terzo videocitofono slave).
Quando questo switch viene impostato ad ON per un videocitofono slave, deve essere impostato ad ON anche per il relativo
videocitofono master.

Di fabbrica la terminazione è attiva. Nel caso di più unità (cito-
foni o videocitofoni) collegate in parallelo (i conduttori del bus
arrivano ai morsetti della prima unità per essere rilanciati alla

terminazione va abilitata solo sull’ultimo dispositivo della cate-

VIDEOCITOFONI KRISTALLO DA INCASSO
1. Proteggendo i fori di ssaggio del videocitofono alla scatola da incasso, murare a lo muro la scatola da incasso in posizione ver-
ticale lasciando circa 135cm tra la parte inferiore della scatola e il pavimento come mostrato in Fig. 1;
2. Come mostrato in Fig. 2, eettuare le connessioni con l’ausilio di un giravite piatto e le congurazioni dei dip-switches come da
schema di collegamento fornito a corredo o come da foglio di istruzioni;
3. Come mostrato in Fig. 3, eettuate tutte le connessioni, procedere al ssaggio del videocitofono alla scatola da incasso tramite
le 2 viti fornite a corredo con l’ausilio di un giravite a croce;
Per evitare malfunzionamenti, evitare di serrare eccessivamente le viti di ssaggio mostrata nella Fig. 3.
4. Fissato il videocitofono alla scatola da incasso, avvicinare la placca frontale al videocitofono inserendo i 4 ganci nelle rispettive
fessure quindi ssare la stessa spingendola verso il basso come mostrato in Fig. 4;
5. Procedere al collaudo del sistema.
VIDEOCITOFONI KRISTALLO DA SUPERFICIE
1. Come mostrato in Fig. 1a, appoggiare a parete il videocitofono lasciando circa 135cm tra la parte inferiore ed il pavimento e
prendere i riferimenti per i fori di ssaggio a parete. Realizzare i fori (diametro 5mm) ed inserire all’interno i tasselli ad espansione
forniti a corredo come mostrato in Fig. 1b;
2. Come mostrato in Fig. 2a, eettuare le connessioni con l’ausilio di un giravite piatto e le congurazioni dei dip-switches come da
schema di collegamento fornito a corredo o come da foglio di istruzioni;
3. Come mostrato in Fig. 3a, eettuate tutte le connessioni, procedere al ssaggio del videocitofono alla scatola da incasso tramite
le 2 viti fornite a corredo con l’ausilio di un giravite a croce;
Per evitare malfunzionamenti, evitare di serrare eccessivamente le viti di ssaggio mostrata nella Fig. 3.
4. Fissato il videocitofono a parete, avvicinare la placca frontale al videocitofono inserendo i 4 ganci nelle rispettive fessure quindi
ssare la stessa spingendola verso il basso come mostrato in Fig. 4a e agganciare la cornetta come mostrato in Fig. 4b;
5. Procedere al collaudo del sistema.
