To use your Tab safely and effectively, please read these safety guidelines carefully.
1.1 When Carrying the Tab
WhenyouareusingtheTab,keepitsomedistance(atleast2.5cm)awayfromyourbody.Incase
there is a need for a Tab slipcover, belt clip, or other accessories to carry your Tab, it is important to
ensuretheyareapprovedbythemanufacturer.Otherwise,theTabmayexceedthemaximumlimit
of radio frequency leakage.
1.2 Energy Leak of Radio Frequency
YourTabisalow-power,wirelesstransmitterandreceiver.Afterbeingpoweredon,itwill
periodicallysendandreceiveradiosignalswhileitstransmissionpoweriscontrolledbythe
network.Thisdevicecomplieswithlocalstandardsrestrictingenergyleakofradiofrequency.
1.3 Electromagnetic Radiation
YourTabfullycomplieswithstandardsrelatedtowirelessirradiationenactedbytheauthorityofthe
StateandInternationalHealthAssociation.Theselimitationsarepartofthecomprehensiveregula-
tionsandconstitutepublicwirelessirradiationpermissionstandards.Thesestandardsaredevel-
opedandformedafterlong-termintensivescienticresearchbyindependentscienticorganizations
suchasInternationalCommissiononNon-IonizingRadiationProtection(ICNIRP).Thesestandards
contain a large surplus to ensure the safety of all and take the variable factors of various measure-
ment conditions into consideration.
1.4 In Public
Some public places, such as hospitals, health resorts, or other medical facilities, post signage pro-
hibitingcellularequipmentusage.PleasefollowthesewarningsandpoweroffyourTabindesig-
nated public places.
1.5 Compatibility of RF Interference
YourTabmayinterferewithotherdevicesthatarenotproperlydesignedforRFshieldingorcong-
uredforRFcompatibility.
1.6 In Aircraft
Switchthedeviceoffandremovethebatterywhenyouareinornearanaircraft.Itisillegaltouse
cellular equipment on board of an aircraft since it may cause interference to aircraft navigation
systemsand/ornetworks.Violatorsmayfaceseverepenalties.
1.7 Pacemakers
Ifyouareusingapacemaker,donotcarryyourTab(whileitisswitchedon)inthebreastpocket.
Aminimumseparationof15cmshouldbemaintainedbetweenthewirelessTabandapacemaker.
Usetheoppositeearwhenmakingacalltominimizethepotentialforinterferencewithregularfunc-
tionsofthepacemaker.Ifyouhaveanyreasontosuspectthatinterferenceistakingplace,switchoff
your Tab immediately.

1.8 Hearing Aids
WirelessTabsmayinterferewithsomehearingaids.Intheeventofsuchinterference,youmaywant
to consult your service provider.
1.9 Other Medical Equipment
Forotherpersonalhealthcareequipment,consultyourserviceprovider.Consultaphysicianorthe
manufacturerofthemedicaldevicetodetermineiftheyareadequatelyshieldedfromRFenergyor
if you have any further questions.
1.10 Road Safety
Pleasecomplywithlocaltrafclawsandregulations.Ifyourvehiclehasairbags,keepyourTab
awayfromwheretheinatedairbagscanreach.Otherwise,youmaybeseriouslyinjuredbytheTab
oncetheairbagexpands.
1.11 Potentially Explosive Atmosphere
SwitchoffyourTabwhenbeinginanareawithapotentiallyexplosiveatmosphereandobeyall
signsandinstructions.Theseareasincludefueldepots(belowdeckonboats,fuelorchemical
transfersorstoragefacilities),areaswheretheaircontainschemicalsorparticles,suchasgrain,
dustormetalpowders.Theyareusuallymarkedwithsigns,butthisisnotalwaysthecase.
1.12 Battery
Anycontactofthebattery’sexposedelectrodeswithaconductor,suchasjewelryorkeys,may
cause damage to your possessions or bodily injury.
1.13 Others
The Tab is comprised of precise electronic circuits, magnets and a sophisticated battery system.
Cautionisadvisedwhenhandlingthecomponents,particularlywithregardtothefollowing:
• KeeptheTabanditsaccessoriesdry.YourTabisnotwaterproof.
• KeeptheTabawayfromextremetemperatures.
• Donotplaceitnearaameoralitcigarette.
• Donotscratchit.
• AvoidtappingtheTabtopreventdamage.
• KeepthedeviceawayfromCDs,creditcards,travelingcards,orothermagneticobjectstoavoid
damage to the Tab.
• DonotplacetheTabonthedashboardofacar,windowsoranywhereelsewheresunshine
can penetrate.
• Donotremovethebatterywhenitispoweringon.
• Donotplacethebatterynear/inare.Itmayexplode.
• Donotplacethebatteryinthemouth.Itmaybepoisonous.
• DonottrytodisassembletheTaboritsaccessories.
• Useonlyapprovedmodel-applicablebatteries.Incorrectbatteriesmayexplode.Followthe
manufacturer’s instructions to dispose of used batteries.
• Heat is generated by prolonged usage of the headphones and by prolonged charging of the
cellular equipment.

• Amoistoranti-staticclothmaybeusedtowipeorcleantheTab.Donotuseadrycloththat
attractsstaticelectricitytoavoiddamagetotheTab.Donotuseachemicalreagentora
cleanser containing abrasives to avoid damage to the Tab’s casing.
• ThemetalmaterialcontainedintheTabmaycausehypersusceptibility,whichdependson
your physique or health status.
• Since some parts such as a liquid crystal display and pick-up head belong to fragile parts, please
carefullystoretheminsuchawaythattheTabremainssafe.

2.1 SIM Cards
SIM(SubscriberIdenticationModule)cardscontaintheTabnumberandimportantinformationof
services. It also functions as a phone book and personal data storage.
2.1.1 SIM Card Installation Procedure
1. Turnofftheunitandremovebackcovertoremovethebattery

3. Install the battery and close the back cover

2.1.2 Caution

• KeepallSIMcardsoutofthereachfromsmallchildren.
• SIM card and its metal surface is susceptible to scratches and may become damaged if bent.
Insertandremovethecardwithcare.
• KeeptheSIMcardawayfromstaticelectricity,dustandwater.
2.1.3 PIN and PUK
PIN
PINisanidenticationcodethatisprovidedalongwiththeSIMcard.YouareprotectedbythePIN
fromunauthorizeduseofyourSIMcard.AfterinitiatingthePINprotection,youarerequiredtoenter
yourPINeverytimeyouturnontheTab.AfterthreeconsecutiveincorrectPINcodeentries,theSIM
card access is blocked. You cannot access the data or use its services. If you do not remember the
PIN,pleasecontactyourserviceprovider.
PUK
WhentheSIMcardislocked,aPUK(PersonalUnlockKey)isrequiredtounlockit.Tenconsecutive
incorrectPUKentrieswillcausepermanentdeactivationoftheSIMcard.ThePUKisusuallyprovid-
edalongwiththeSIMcard.IfyouhavelostyourPUK,oritwasnotprovidedtoyouinitially,contact
your service provider for technical support.
2.2 Storage Card
AstoragecardcanbepluggedintoyourTabtoexpandthestoragecapacity.
ToinstallandremovetheSDcard,followthesesteps:
• RemovethebackcoverofVINCITabMV
• Removethebattery
• OpentheSDcardslot
• PlaceorremovetheSDcard
• Close the card slot

2.4 The Battery
2.4.1 Battery Use
YourTabispoweredbyabattery.WhenyounoticethattherunningtimeofyourTabhas
decreased, replace the battery. To replace the battery:
• SwitchoffyourTabbeforeremovingthebattery.
• Donotleavethebatterychargingfortoolong;itmayreducethebattery’slife.
• Excessivelyhighorlowtemperatureswillhaveanimpactonthechargingcapability.Maintainits
workingtemperatureat0-45oC.
• Donotusethebatteryforanyotherpurposes;donotdiscarditinreorwater.
• Donottrytodisassembleorxthebattery.Chooseacerticatedorapprovedreplacement
batteryrecommendedbythemanufacturer.PleasecontactVINCICustomerServiceat
www.vincigenius.com/support if you need further assistance during your battery replacement
process.
• Avoidshortcircuit.Donotusedamagedchargersorbatteries.
• Hotorcoldweatherwilldecreasethebattery’scapacityandlife.Excessivelyhighorlow
temperatures may result in a temporary system halt, even though the battery may be fully
charged.
• Disposeofusedbatteriesproperly.Donotthrowthemintoadustbin.
2.4.2 Battery Charge Level
Note the battery icon on the Status bar, the battery icon reveals its current battery level.
2.4.3 Charging Batteries
Ifthechargelevelgoeslowerthantheworkingvoltage,areminderofalowbatterystatuswillap-
pearonthescreen.Datamaybelost,andtheTabwillpoweroffifthebatteryisnotchargedor
replaced in time.
Alithium-ionbatterycomeswiththisTab.Usethemanufacturer’schargerandbatteriesforoptimal
performance.
1. PlugthechargercarefullyintotheUSBchargerslot
2. ConnectthechargertotheACoutletwhiletheTabpowerson.Thestatusindicatoris
highlightedinred;thebatteryicononthescreenshowsthechargingprogress.Whilecharging,
theTabcanbeusednormally.WhentheTabispoweringoff,thescreenshowsachargingicon.
3. Beforetherstuse,chargethebatterywiththeoriginalchargerfor8to10hours.Anewbattery
mayreachitspeakperformanceonlyaftertwoorthreecyclesoffullchargeanddischarge.
4. Afterthechargingcompletes,thestatusindicatorshowstheinitialstatuspriortocharge.Ifthe
Tab is off, the screen displays a notice of completion.
5. DisconnectthechargerfromtheACoutletandtheTab.
Note:AUSBcablecanbeusedtochargethebattery.ThevoltageonthePC’sUSBport,however,
doesnotfullymeettherequirementsforbatterycharging;thereforeitmayhaveanegativeimpact
on the battery’s lifespan. Therefore, a battery charger is preferred.

3.1 Switching ON/OFF
ToswitchyourTabON,pressandholdthePowerON/OFFkeyforacoupleofseconds.Toshutdown,
pressON/OFFbuttonagain,whichwillshowalltheTaboptions,selectPowerOFF,pop-uptipwill
appear,pressOKtoshutdown.
3.2 Open and Close the Screen
Close the screen:
YoucanpressthePowerbuttontoturnoffthescreentosavepowerandpreventmisuse.
Note:Topreservebatterypowerandtoextendbatterylife,youcansetthescreentoanautomatic
time lock:
• AccesstheHomeScreen
• Touch Launcher
• Select Settings
• Select Display
• Tap Screen Timeout
Open the Screen:
Toopenthescreen,touchanybutton(exceptthevolumebutton)toenablethescreen.
3.3 Set Lock and Unlock
To prevent accidental operation, you can lock the device and screen.
ToLock:ShortpressthePowerkey to lock.
To Unlock: Short press the Power key, then drag the middle zone to the edge of the screen to unlock.
3.5 The Status Bar
Iconsinthestatusbararedisplayedforworkingstatus,includingbatterychargelevel,signal

3.6 Add/Delete Shortcuts
Pressthescreenuntilpop-upoftheAddHomeScreenTipappears;you
canthenaddanewshortcut,changethewallpaperoraddadditional
application shortcut icons.
To delete a shortcut, select the shortcut icon, press the screen until you
feelatinyvibration,thendragtheshortcuticontotherecyclingboxto
remove the shortcut.

PressvolumeUp/Downkeytoadjustthevolume,theTabwillbeconvertedintoavibratemode
whenthevolumeissettoitsminimum.
3.9 Set Date and Time
You can set/change the date, time, time zone and format. In the Home Screen, press the Launcher
icon, choose Settings, press the Date&Time key, and then adjust your preferences.

4.1 Make a Call
• Onstandbymode,clickDialtoaccesstheTab’skeypad
• Tap the Keypad key
• Select the Send button to dial a Tab number
4.2 Answer a Call
Whenyouarereceivinganincomingcall,taptheAnswerbuttontoanswerit
ORTaptheEnd button to reject it
4.3 During a Call
Duringacall,youmayselectanoptiononthescreenorintheMenu for more functions.
Note: The availability of these features depends on your service provider.
4.3.1 Hold
If you select Holdduringacall,youandthepartyyouaretalkingwithcannolongerheareachother.
However,thecallisstillinprogress.ItwillberetrievedafteryoutaptheUnhold button.
4.3.2 Mute
IfyouneedtoturnoffthemicroTabforawhileduringacall,selectMute. Then, you can hear the
other party, but he/she cannot hear you. Select Unmute to restore the conversation.
4.3.3 Speaker ON
AftertheloudspeakerisON,thesoundwillbeamplied.
4.3.4 Hands-free On
Tap Bluetooth by pressing the Menu key during a conversation to turn on the Hands-free option.
BothofthepeopleintheconversationarenowabletohearclearlywithouthavingtoholdtheTab
near their ear. Select it again to turn this option off.
Note:YoumustbeconnectedwiththeBluetoothearphone.
4.3.5 Conference Call
TheTabsupportsaconferencecallfeature;chooseConference under the Menukeywhen
makingatwo-waycall,thenyoucanproceedtomakeaconferencecall(i.e.,upto6participants).
