The$LIZARD$Module$
Descriptive:$
The$LIZARD$is#an#extremely#powerful#multifunctional#module.#Due#to#its#"real#time#non#band#limited"#generation#
design,#the#Lizard's#time#base#sample#rate#is#very#high#in#most#1MHz#modes#and#especially#in#2MHz#HD#Modes!#
Due#to#this#it#behaves#like#an#analog#generator,#extremely#rich#in#harmonics.#
The$LIZARD#module#is#a#dual#VCO#module#composed#by#two#“entities”,#2#operational#blocks,#an#extremely#high#
sample#rate#DVCO#and#a#totally#analog#8#inputs#Audio#Switcher,#operating#in#full#synchronization.#
#
The#HSR$DVCO#output#is$OUT1.###
#
The#WaveSwitcher#output#is#OUT2.#
#
The#Lizard#can#operate#in#3"main"forms,#selected#via#a#3-way"switch.#
#
They#are#:#
VCO,#Sequencer#and#External$Clock.#
In#VCO#form#the#OUT1#output#is#bipolar#and#in#the#SEQ#and#ExtClk$forms#the#OUT1#output#is#unipolar.#
In#VCO#form#the#SQR#output#is#a#square#wave#and#has#the#same#frequency#as#the#signal#generated#at#the#OUT1#
output#and#in#the#SEQ#and#ExtClk#forms#in#which#the#SQR#output#releases#one#pulse#at#each#step.#

In#VCO#form#the#Lizard#has#6#generation#modes,#WaveDrawer,$LFODrawer,$SuperWave,$PhasedSaw,$Wave$HD$
and$Chords.#
These#modes#are#selected#via#the#Mode#switch.#

Mode"1#-$WaveDrawer#
In#this#mode,#each#of#the#8#potentiometers#controls#the#voltage#level#in#the#equivalent#step,#allowing#you#to#
"draw"#an#infinity#of#waveforms,#each#with#its#own#timbre.#
The#8#potentiometers#/#steps#can#be#swept#in#4#different#ways,#Sweep$Up,#Sweep$Down,#Sweep$Up+Down#
and#Random.#The#sweep#is#selected#via#the#Type$key.#In#Random#Mode#the#pots#are#swept#randomly.#
#
In#WaveDrawer#Mode#you#can#"draw"#the#VCO#waveform#through#potentiometers#1#to#8.#This#shape#will#
have#8#segments#or#STEPS.#Depending#on#the#shape#drawn,#the#harmonic#distribution#varies#radically,#allowing#
for#an#infinite#number#of#tones.##

Mode"2#-$LFODrawer#
In#Mode#2#each#step#is#linked#to#a#triangular#LFO#whose#frequencies#are#controlled#by#each#of#the#8#
potentiometers.#
#
The#scan#types#are#the#same#as#that#in#the#WaveDrawer$Mode.#
#
Mode"3#-$SuperWave#
#
The#SuperWave#mode#has#4#waveforms#selected#by#the$Type#switch.#
#
The#first#waveform,#SuperWaveSaw,#is#composed#of#5#Saw#VCOs,#where#one#is#the#central#VCO,#directly#
controlled#by#the#CV#input#result,#FREQ#and#FINE#potentiometers,#and#the#FM#input.#The#other#4#VCOs#are#slaves#
of#the#central#oscillator#with#their#frequencies#deflected#by#potentiometers#1#to#4,#where#two#VCOs#have#their#
frequencies#downwards,#and#two#upwards.#
The#potentiometers#5#to#8#control#the#mixing#of#each#of#the#deflected#waves,#allowing#each#of#them#to#be#
modified#individually.#
The#second#waveform#is#the#SuperWaveTriangle,#made#up#of#5#Triangle#VCOs#and#operates#in#the#same#way#as#
SuperWaveSaw.#
The#third#waveform#is#the#SuperWaveSquare,#which#operates#in#the#same#way#as#the#previous#two#types.#
The#fourth#waveform,#the#SuperSAT,#has#timbre#properties#very#different#from#previous#and#very#peculiar,#
extremely#rich#in#harmonics.#
#
With#all#potentiometers#1#to#4#at#zero,#all#these#four#waveforms,#assume#a#static#pitch#characteristic#and#with#a#
quick#touch#on#any#of#the#4#potentiometers#and#their#immediate#return#to#the#zero#position,##allow#to#create#a#
new#phase#form,#with#a#different#timbre.#

Mode"4"-$PhasedSaw#
In#Mode#4,#we#have#a#peculiar#configuration#of#Saw#VCOs,#where#the#phases#and#equations#are#manipulated.#
In#the#first#Type,#there#are#two#oscillators,#one#master#and#one#slave,#with#the#deviation#and#phase#controlled#by#
Pot1.#
In#the#second#Type,#there#are#3#VCOs,#one#master#and#two#slaves,#controlled#by#Pot1#and#Pot2.#
In#the#third#Type,#4#VCOs,#Pot1,#Pot2#and#Pot3.#
In#the#fourth#and#last#Type,#5#VCOs,#Pot1#to#Pot4.#

Mode"5"-$Wave$HD#
In#this#mode#we#have#4#conventional#waveforms,#generated#with#high#quality,#at#a#sample#rate#of#2MHZ#!!!!!#

Type#4#=#Pulse,#with#PWM#control#on#Pot1.#

Mode$6$-$CHORDS$

In#this#mode#you#can#create#chords#up#to#5#notes,#one#being#the#main#and#the#other#four,#slaves.#With#pots#from#
1#to#4#you#set#the#deviation#in#semitones,#from#zero#to#15#semitones.#
With#pots#from#5#to#8#you#adjust#the#volume#/#mix#of#each#slave#oscillator,#allowing#you#to#make#chords#with#
notes#in#different#volumes#or#chords#with#less#notes.#

The$Audio$Switcher#is#an#8#steps#totally#analog#audio#Switcher,#slave#of#the#HSR$DVCO´s#timing.#
In#any#of#the#Wave#Inputs#can#be#placed,#at#random,#DC#Levels,#CV#Controls,#LFO's,#Oscillators#or#audio.#Or#even#
leave#open#an#input#(in#which#case#it#becomes#GND).##
If#in$VCO#form,#a#complex#wave#will#be#generated#in#the#OUT2,#built#by#the#8#signals#present#in#the#Wave#Inputs.#
If#in#SEQ#or#ExtClk,#it#becomes#a#switcher#in#which#each#step#places#in#the#output#what#is#present#in#the#
equivalent#input,#becoming#a#complex#sequencer...#
