Recommendations:

-bewellawayfromanyheatsourceanddirectsunlight;
-notbetoodamp(laundry,pantry,bathroometc.);
-haveaflatfloor;
-haveastandardandreliableelectricitysupply(standardsockettocountrystandards,
linkedtotheground),itisNOTrecommendedtouseamulti-socketorextensionlead.
-haveasurgeprotectorfittedtotheelectricaloutlet;
-awayfromthemicrowaveoven.Certainmicrowaveovensdonothavewaveinterference
shield.Whenplacedwithin1metervicinityoftheBeverageCenter,theymayaffectthe
operationoftheBeverageCenter.

TheBeverageCentershouldbeplacedwheretheambienttemperatureisbetween5ºCto
35ºC.Iftheambienttemperatureisaboveorbelowthisrange,theperformanceoftheunit
maybeaffected.Placingyourunitinextremecoldorhotconditionsmaycauseinterior
temperaturestofluctuate. Theidealrangeoftemperaturemaynotbereached.(See
ClimateClassattheendofthismanual)
Groundinginstructions
TheBeverageCentermustbegroundedincaseofanelectricalshortcircuit.Grounding
reducestheriskofelectricalshock.TheBeverageCenterisequippedwithapowercord
havingagroundingwireandplug.TheBeverageCenterplugmustbepluggedintoa
properlyaffixedandgroundedelectricaloutlet.
Note: Inlocationswherethereisfrequentlightning,surgeprotectorsMUSTbeused.
Improperuseofthegroundingplugcanresultintheriskofelectricshock.Consulta
qualifiedelectricianorservicepersonifthegroundinginstructionsarenotcompletely
understood.
Ifthesupplyordisdamaged,itmustberepla ebyaqualifiedpersoninordertoavoid
eletrialhazard.
InstallingyourBeverageCenter
Unpackandremovealloftheprotectionandadhesivestripsfromthepackagingaround
andinsidetheBeverageCenter.
TheBeverageCentermustbepositionedsuchthattheplugisaccessible.Releasethe
powercord.MoveyourBeverageCentertoitsfinallocation.TheBeverageCentershould
beinstalledinasuitableplacewherethecompressorwillnotbesubjecttophysicalcontact.
Thiscentercannotbeintegratedbehindasoliddoor doingsovoidsthewarranty.
LevelingyourBeverageCenter: BeverageCentermustbeleveledBEFORE loading
yourbeverages.
YourVintecBeverageCenterisequippedwith4adjustablefeettofacilitateeasyleveling.
VINTEC recommendsthatyouscrewthebackfeettowardthebasesotheyareinthe
shortestpositionandadjustthefrontfeettoleveltheBeverageCenter.
Backspacer:
Compressorrunappliancesrequireproperventilationforproperandlongerusage.Your
VintecBeverageCenterissuppliedwithabackspacer.Affixedthebackspaceratthe
backofaircirculationandheatevacuation.

INSTALLATIONFORVENTILATIONPURPOSE.FAILURETODOSOVOIDSTHE
WARRANTY
TURNINGONYOURBEVERAGECENTER
Pluginandswitchontheunitbypressingonthepowerbutton forafewseconds.
WhenyouusetheBeverageCenterforthefirsttime(orrestarttheBeverageCenterafter
havingitshutoffforalongtime),therewillbeafewdegrees,variancebetweenthe
temperatureyouhaveselectedandtheoneindicatedontheLEDreadout.Thisisnormal
anditisduetothelengthoftheactivationtime.OncetheBeverageCenterisrunningfora
fewhourseverythingwillstabilize.
Important:Iftheunitisunplugged,powerislost,orturnedoff,wait5minutesbefore
restartingtheunit.TheBeverageCenterwillnotstartifyouattempttorestartbefore
thistimedelay.

OperatingNoises
Toreachthedesiredtemperaturesettings, VINTEC BeverageCenter,likeallBeverage
Centersoperatingwithcompressorsandfans,mayproducethefollowingtypesofnoises.
Thesenoisesarenormalandmayoccurasfollows:
-Gurglingsound-causedbytherefrigerantflowingthroughtheappliance’scoils.
-Cracking/poppingsounds-resultingfromthecontractionandexpansionofthe
refrigerantgastoproducecold.
-Fanoperatingsound-tocirculatetheairwithintheBeverageCenter.
Anindividual sperceptionofnoiseisdirectlylinkedtotheenvironmentinwhichthe
BeverageCenterislocated,aswellthespecifictypeofmodels. VINTEC Beverage
Centersareinlinewithinternationalstandardsforsuchappliances. VINTEC willalways
doitsutmosttosatisfyitscustomersbutwillnotretakepossessionofthegoodsdueto
complaintsbasedonnormaloperatingnoiseoccurrences.
LOADINGYOURBEVERAGECENTER
Youmayloadyourbeveragebottlesinsingleordoublerowswhiletakingnoteofthe
following:ifyoudonothaveenoughbottlestofillyourBeverageCenter,itisbetterto
distributetheloadthroughouttheBeverageCentersoastoavoid “allontop”or “all
below”typeloads.
-Doremoveorrelocateadjustableshelvestoaccommodatelargertypeofbottlesor
increasethecapacityofthecellarbystackingthebottlesupwhennecessary.(See
removingshelves)
-Keepsmallgapsbetweenthewallsandthebottlestoallowaircirculation.Asinan
undergroundcellar,aircirculationisimportanttopreventmouldandforabetter
homogeneoustemperaturewithinthecellar.
-DonotoverloadyourBeverageCentertofacilitateaircirculation.
-Avoidobstructingtheinternalfans(locatedinsideonthebackpaneloftheBeverage
Center).
-Donotslidetheshelvesoutwardsbeyondthefixedpositioninordertopreventthe
bottlesfromfalling.
-DonotpulloutmorethanoneloadedshelfatatimeasthismaycausetheBeverage
Centertotiltforward.
-Donotcovertheshelveswithalloyfoilorothermaterials,asitwillobstructair
circulation.
-DonotmoveyourBeverageCenterwhileitisloadedwithbeverages.Thismightdistort
thebodyoftheBeverageCenterandcausebackinjury.

TYPESOFREGULATION
Pleasenotethat,dependingontheloadingandsettingschosen,ittakesabout24hoursfor
theBeverageCentertoseethetemperaturestabilizing.
DuringthistimeLEDseemstomoveerratically.Itisnormalandthisprocessoccurs
wheneverthesettingismodifiedand/orwheneveralargeamountofbottlesareaddedto
theunit.
TEMPERATURESETTINGS
Important:TheLCDdisplays,bydefault,theactualinternalairtemperature.
Thetemperaturesettingsarepre-setatthefactorysettingof5ºC.Intheeventofapower
interruption,allprevioustemperaturesettingsareautomaticallyerasedanditwillrevertto
thepresettemperaturesettings.
Itisimportanttounderstandthatthereisadifferencebetweentheairtemperatureinside
the BeverageCenter andtheactualtemperatureofthe Beverage:Youwillneedtowait
approximately12hoursbeforenoticingtheeffectsoftemperatureadjustmentduetothe
criticalmasswithinafullBeverageCenter.
Oncethetemperatureisset,itisstronglyadvisednottotoywithitoradjustfrequently.
ThethermostatwillmaintainthetemperatureinsidetheBeverageCenterwithina+/-
2.5ºCrange.Butthethermalinertiaofthebeveragesandtheglassissuchthat,withinthis
temperaturerange,theactualtemperatureoftheBeveragewillonlyfluctuate0.5ºCto1ºC.
The
controls
of
your
beverage
center
AdjustthedesiredcoolingtemperaturebypressingtheUPorDOWNbuttons.Each
depressionofthebuttonwillscrollthroughtheavailabletemperaturesettingsin
incrementsof1degreeCelsius.Thetemperaturesettingcanbeadjustedfrom2
to10
Tovisualizethe “set”temperature,pressandholdtheUPorDOWNbuttons,the “set”
temperaturewilltemporarily “flash”intheLEDdisplayfor5seconds.

Internallight
Inordertoreduceenergyconsumption,thiswinecabinetwillautomaticallyswitchoffthe
LEDlightsafter10minutes.
IfyouwanttheLEDlighttoremainoncontinuously,thisispossible.Pleasepressand
holdthe"LIGHT"buttonfor5seconds,thedisplaywillshow"LP".After4secondsthe
displaywillrevertbacktonormalandthelightwillremainonuntilmanuallyswitchedoff.
Ifyouwanttorevertbackandconserveenergy(recommended),pleasepressandholdthe
"LIGHT"buttonfor5second,thedisplaywillshow"LF",after4secondsthedisplaywill
revertbacktonormal,andthelightwillautomaticallyswitchoffafter10minutes.
DEFROSTING/CONDENSATION/HYGROMETRY/VENTILATION
Yourbeveragecenterisdesignedwith “Auto-cycle”defrostsystem.During “Off-cycle”
therefrigeratedsurfacesofthebeveragecenterdefrostautomatically.Defrostwaterfrom
thebeveragecenterstoragecompartmentdrainsautomaticallyandpartofitgoesintoa
drainagecontainer,whichislocatedatthebackofthebeveragecenternexttothe
compressor.Theheatistransferredfromthecompressorandevaporatesanycondensation
thathascollectedinthepan.Partoftheremainingwateriscollectedwithinthebeverage
centerforhumiditypurposes.
Thissystemenablesthecreationofthecorrecthumiditylevelinsideyourbeveragecenter
requiredbythenaturalcorktomaintainalonglastingseal.
Notes: Thewatercollectedbycondensation,isthereforerecycled.Underextremelydry
environmentalconditions,youmayhavetoaddsomewaterintothewatercontainer
providedwithyourbeveragecenter.
Allunitsareequippedwithadoubleglazedglassdoorthathasathirdinternalacrylic
layertominimizecondensationontheglassdoor.
Thebeveragecenterisnottotallysealed;freshairadmissionispermittedthroughthe
drainpipe.Airiscirculatedthroughtheunitbymeansofafan/fansandtheslattedshelves.
Notes: Duringtherefrigeratingcycle,heatisgivenoffanddispersesthroughtheexternal
surfacesofthebeveragecenter.Avoidtouchingthesurfacesduringthosecycles.
ADJUSTABLESHELVES
Adjusting/removingtheshelves
Whenremovinganyoftheseshelvesoutoftherailcompartment-tofitorremovethe
shelf-tilttheshelfasperthediagramandsimplypullout,orpushintheshelfuntilitsits
onthesupportbracketssecurely.

REVERSIBILITYOFTHEDOOR
Warning:Toavoidaccidentsduringtheprocessofchangingthedoor,werecommendthat
yougetassistance.Theglassdoorisheavyandmaycauseinjuryifdropped.
-Dependingontothemodelandthetypeofhandleyourwinecabinetisequippedwith,
youmayhavetorotatethedoorthrough180degrees.

cabinet
draws
air

the
front
andrearandexpelsthroughthegrillunderthedooratthefront.Ifajoinerykick
boardisbeingplacedinfrontoftheBeverageCenter,agrillofatleastthesame
widthastheBeverageCentergrillandwithaminimumairflowallowanceof
150cm2mustbeinstalledintothekickboard.

the
control

Ensurethatthereispowertotheelectricalsupplyplugbyconnectinganotherelectrical
appliancetoit.Checkfuse,ifany.Makesurethatthedoorisclosedproperly.
Ifyourbeveragecenterappearstobemalfunctioning,unplugitandcontactyour
VINTEC’saftersalesservice.Anyinterventiononthecoldcircuitshouldbeperformed
byarefrigerationtechnicianwhoshouldcarryoutaninspectionofthecircuitsealing
system.Similarly,anyinterventionontheelectricalcircuitshouldbeperformedbya
qualifiedelectrician.

POWERFAILURES
Intheeventofapowerinterruption,allprevioustemperaturesettingsareautomatically
erasedanditwillreverttoapresettemperaturesetting.(seepresetchart)
Mostpowerfailuresarecorrectedwithinashortperiodoftime.Anhourortwo’slossof
powerwillnotaffectyourbeveragecentertemperatures.Toavoidsuddenchangeof
temperaturewhilethepowerisoff,youshouldavoidopeningthedoor.Forlongerperiod
ofpowerfailure,dotakestepstoprotectyourbeverage.
