Important:
Please follow these operation, safety and maintenance instructions fully prior to
operating this equipment.
•Keep the equipment dry.
CAUTION:
Risk of electric shock. Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before
refilling liquid, cleaning or performing maintenance on the machine.
Danger of Electric Shock
•For indoor use only. Not designed for outside use.
•This equipment is designed for connection to a 220/240v earthed supply. Prior
to use please determine that the unit is installed at the rated voltage.
•Always unplug the fog machine before filling the fluid tank.
•Always keep the fog machine in an upright position.
•Turn off or unplug the machine when not in use.
•This unit is not waterproof. If moisture, water, or fog fluid gets inside the
housing, immediately unplug the unit and contact your supplier before using it
again.
•No user serviceable parts inside. Refer repairs to your supplier or qualified
service personnel.
Danger of Burns
•For adult use only and must be installed out of the reach of children. Never
leave the unit running unattended.
•Never aim the output nozzle directly at people.
•Fog machine output is very hot. Avoid coming within 100cm of the output
nozzle during operation.
•Locate the fog machine in a well-ventilated area. Never cover the unit’s vents.
In order to guarantee adequate ventilation allow a free air space of at least
20cm around the sides and top of the unit.
•Never aim the output nozzle at open flames.
•If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service
agent or qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard.
•The output nozzle becomes very hot during operation. Keep flammable
materials at a safe distance away from the nozzle.
•Always allow the fog machine to cool down before attempting to clean or
service it.

Danger of Explosion
•Never add flammable liquids of any kind (such as oil, gas, perfume) to the fog
liquid.
•Use only high quality, water-based fog fluid. Other fog fluids may cause clogging
or spitting.
•Always make sure there is sufficient liquid in the tank. Operating this unit
without liquid will cause damage to the pump as well as overheating the heater.
•If the equipment fails to work properly discontinue use immediately and
contact your supplier.
•Always drain the fluid tank prior to mailing this unit.
•Never drink the fog liquid. If it is ingested call a doctor immediately. If fog liquid
comes in contact with skin or eyes rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Note: Pay attention to any warning labels and instructions printed on the exterior of
the fog machine.
Unpacking & Inspection
Open the packaging and verify that all equipment necessary to operate the system has
arrived intact. The packaging should contain the following:
1. 1 x Visage 275/1500 Fog Machine c/w Hanging Bracket.
2. 1 x Power Cord.
3. Wireless Remote Control Receiver Unit.
4. Wireless Remote Control Sender.
5. User Guide.
If any equipment is missing please contact the supplier.
Setup
•Remove all packaging materials from the shipping box. Check that all foam and
plastic padding is removed, especially from the nozzle area.
•Place fog machine on a flat surface and remove fog liquid tank cap.
•Fill with high quality water-based fog fluid as recommended by the supplier.
Any other types of fluid can damage the unit resulting in spitting and serious
clogging problems. When filled refit filler cap. Be careful to not exceed the
maximum fluid level. DO NOT OVERFILL.
•Firmly attach the wireless control receiver module to the relevant socket on the
rear of the machine. (for non-DMX use)
•Connect the power supply cord to the socket on the rear of the machine.

Operation (Non DMX)
•Add fluid carefully to the tank. Do not overfill the tank.
•The plug should be in a position that is accessible when using the machine.
•Plug the power cord into an earthed electrical outlet. Turn the power switch to
“ON” on the rear of the machine. Warm-up is complete when the green LED is
lit.
•To emit fog press the appropriate button on the remote control sender unit.
The red LED on the sender is lit during operation.
Operation (DMX 512)
•The Visage 275/1500 Fog Machine is controllable via suitable control desk.
Input and output connections are via 3pin XLR.
•DMX addressing of the unit is done via the DIP Switches on the rear of the
machine as shown in the diagram below:

NB: The table indicates a DMX address of ‘1’. By using the DIP switches in various
ON/OFF positions it is possible to address the unit with any number from 1 – 255.
CAUTION: Visibility during operation will be reduced.
Important:Always monitor tank fluid level while in use. Running a fog machine with
no fluid can permanently damage the unit.
This model can be operated at floor level or on any suitable level surface. It can also
be suspended using the attached hanging bracket.
Whichever installation method is used ensure that –
1. The fog can not shoot directly at any persons face.
2. The unit does not exceed a 15 degree angle of inclination.
3. When suspending via the hanging bracket the unit must be attached securely to
a suitable mounting point and a suitable safety bond is used.

If you experience low output, pump noise or no output at all, unplug the unit
immediately. Check the fluid level, the external fuse, remote control connection,
power connection, DMX connection (if used) and fluid hose connection. If all checks
appear to be ok, plug the unit in and test again. If the unit fails to work, unplug it and
contact the supplier immediately.
Performance Note
•All fog machines develop condensation around the nozzle. Because this may
result in some moisture accumulation on the surface below the output nozzle,
consider this when locating the unit.
•All fog machines may emit small amounts of fog occasionally during operation
and for a minute or so after being turned off.
•All fog machines have a recycling period after long bursts when the machine will
shut itself down for a short period in order to heat up again. During this time no
fog can be produced.
Maintenance
•Do not allow the fog fluid to become contaminated. Always replace the caps on
the fluid container and the fog machine fluid tank immediately after filling.
•Clean the casing with a soft dry cloth only.
Supplier Maintenance only: After every 40 hours of operation it is recommended to
run a cleaning solution composed of 80% distilled water and 20% vinegar through the
system to remove any accumulation of particulate matter in the heating element and
pipes. Disassemble the spray mouth and use vinegar to clean it when cold.
All fog machines are prone to clogging due to the thick consistency of fog fluid and the
high temperature at which it vaporises. However, a properly maintained machine
should provide years of reliable use.
Storage
Empty fluid container and store dry.
