Congratulations on your purchase of a Viza
motorized scooter!
Proper maintenance and safety precautions will
ensure years of safe, trouble-free operation.
Vizascooters can be hazardous to operate. If
you fail to take proper precautions, a collision or fall
may quickly occur. If you have any questions as to
the operating conditions of your Vizascooter, turn
off the engine and walk your scooter. Vizascooters
should not be ridden by persons without excellent
vision, balance, coordination, reflex muscle tone,
strength, and good decision making capability.
•Read this manual and all safety labels carefully and
follow correct operating procedures.
•Minors shall never operate without adult
supervision.
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
RECORD OF IMPORTANT INFORMATION

•Never operate your Vizascooter on surfaces
which are slick or unstable due to dampness, loose
gravel, etc.
•Never operate your Vizascooter on any public
street, road, or highway.
•Never operate your Vizascooter without wearing
proper safety equipment. To include: helmet, shoes,
protective clothing and pads.
•Never operate your Vizascooter under the
influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Always ride with both hands on the handles.
•Never operate at excessive speeds. Proper speed is
determined by terrain, visibility, operating
conditions, and experience.
•Never attempt wheelies, jumps, or other stunts.
•Always inspect your Vizascooter prior to each
use to make sure it is in safe operating condition.
Follow inspection and maintenance procedures and
schedules described in this manual.
•Never operate your Vizascooter on steep hills or
inclines.
•Do not turn at excessive speeds.
•Maintain proper tire pressure as described in this
manual.
•Fuel is highly flammable. Keep it safe away from
any source of fire, especially when refueling.
•Engine and muffler get hot while in use. Do not
touch.
•Keep all body parts and clothing away from belts or
chains.

1. Align front wheel assembly so that the disc brake rotor is on
the same side as the disc brake caliper mounted to the front
fork.
2. Slide front wheel assembly in place so that the brake rotor
slides up and in-between the two brake pads installed in the
disc brake caliper. (the slot in the middle)
3. The front axle protruding from both side of the front wheel
assembly should also line up with the slots on the bottom of
the front suspension fork.
4. Once the axle of the front wheel assembly is centered and
positioned as far up as possible on the bottom of the front
suspension fork, the axle bolts MUST be securely tightened.
A 15mm open ended wrench, 15mm scoket wrench or an ad-
justable wrench will suffice to
tighten the two front axle
nuts.
5. After securing the front wheel
assembly, check the adjust-
ment of the brake assembly.
The front wheel should be
able to spin freely with little
drag from the disc brake.

TIGHTEN AXLE NUTS
The disc brakes on your Vizascooter are VERY powerful.
When riding your scooter, be careful of applying too much front
brake as this will stop you extremely fast and could cause you to
go over the handlebars. It is also not a good idea to apply to
strong of a rear brake as this is very hard on the belt drive system.
Beware that the brake disc also can get very hot from heavy use.
Do not touch the disc when it is hot! The brake pads in the brake
caliper assembly is easily replaceable when they wear out. In-
quire about parts with your local Viza dealer. There is a gap
adjustment knob located on the tire side of the brake caliper unit.
Turning the knob clockwise will decrease the gap. Turning it
counter clockwise will increase the gap. Adjust as necessary so
that the tire will spin freely without the brake pads rubbing on the
brake disc.

angle and tighten firmly.
•Seat height quick-release lever: With
lever turned upward, adjust the height of
upper seat post. Tighten the nut firmly
then press lever down to lock seat
height. Do not exceed seat height
extension limit as marked on post.
•Lower seat post adjustment knob: The
bottom of the lower seat post is cut
diagonally and stabilized by weight.
Push seat post all the way down and
tighten knob firmly by hand. If not
tightened completely, it becomes
dangerous when riding or pulling up by
seat post.

STEERING COLUMN OPERATION
The handle bar is designed for changing direction and
balancing. Do not use excessive force on it. Be careful
with brake and throttle cables. Make sure they are not
folded or damaged while folding or erecting the steering
column.
KICK-STAND
Make sure to correctly fold kick stand in before riding
your Vizascooter.
1. Raise the handlebar to its upright position.
2. While holding the Quick Release (QR) lever, slide the locking
shaft to the far right. This allows the square handlebar hinge
plate to rest on its mate.
3. While still holding the QR lever, slide the shaft to the far left.
4. With the QR lever in the open position, raise the QR lever up
into the slot of the upper square hinge plate. (If it is too tight
to go into the slot, adjust the QR fixing nut located on the op-
posite end of the QR shaft until the QR lever slides into the
slot. Do not over loosen the nut or the QR lever will not prop-
erly lock the hinge.
5. Close the QR lever by rotating the lever down toward the
square hinge, until the cam action of the QR has firmly tight-
ened the handlebar. If the QR does not close tightly, open the
QR lever and adjust the QR fixing nut until the QR tightens
tightly with the lever in the fully closed position while still al-
lowing the hinge to be folded.

1. To start a cold engine, move the choke lever to the
CLOSED position. To restart a warm engine, leave the
choke lever in the OPEN position.
2. Press the clear priming bulb underneath the carburetor
until fuel can be seen in the clear plastic fuel return line.
3. Pull the starter grip briskly and return gently. Engine
should start within a few pulls.
4. If the choke lever is CLOSED, gradually slide to OPEN
position as the engine warms up.
5. Press red engine stop button to shut motor off after
operation.
FUEL & OIL
The TL-33 engine installed on your Vizascooter is
an air-cooled 2-stroke engine. Use unleaded gasoline
and a good 2 cycle engine oil in the ratio of 32:1.
•If not mixed to proper ratio, the engine perfomance
may decrease, or damage to the engine may occur.
•Use guage bottle to measure proper oil mixture.
•For a perfect mix every time, use Viza oil packets
available at your Vizadealer.

NEW ENGINE BREAK-IN PERIOD
The engine on your new Viza™ scooter must be gradually
broken-in to assure engine longevity. For the first 2 hours of
use (or 1 gas tank of fuel), do not accelerate abruptly or operate
at high engine speeds. Vary the throttle input up and down
while riding to correctly break-in your engine.
DRIVE BELTS
Your Viza™ motor scooter is equipped with a belt reduction
and belt drive system. Proper care is required to achieve maxi-
mum durability. Avoid ‘slamming’ the rear brakes on causing
the rear tire to “lock-up” as this puts severe strain on the belt
drive system of your scooter and can shorten the life of your
belt or damage the drive system. Proper belt tension is also
very important. The main reduction belt is tensioned auto-
matically by the rubber engine mounts. The drive belt that
turns the rear tire is tensioned by two drive belt tensioning
bolts located at the rear of your scooter. To tighten the belt
tension, first loosen the two rear axle bolts. Next, tighten the
two drive belt tensioning nuts by turning them clockwise until
the belt is properly tensioned. You should have about 1/4” to
1/2” of play in the belt. Tighten the two rear axle nuts to com-
plete.

RIDING YOUR VIZA™ SCOOTER
Make sure that the steering column is fully locked in its
upright position. Start the engine and wait until it
operates normally. Place one foot on the foot deck and
then gradually turn the throttle lever back to increase
engine r.p.m. The automatic clutch will engage and the
scooter will begin to move forward. Place your other
foot on the foot deck and begin to ride. Find a stance on
the board that is comfortable to you. This is usually
with one foot behind the other and bearing most of the
weight.
•Drive defensively. It is often difficult to hear other
vehicles approaching you so head check often and
always before changing direction.
•Practice driving your scooter on a large smooth
surface.
•Lean forward going up hills or when accelerating.
•Lean back as you go down hills or as you brake.
•The front brake is designed to reduce speed and not
intended for quick stops.
•Use both front and rear brakes for efficiency when
reducing speed or coming to a stop.
•Do the majority of your braking before you make a
turn. Braking during a turn can cause your wheel to
skid, which could cause you to lose control.
•Avoid sharp turns or turns which cause your
Viza™ scooter to lean too far to either side.
•Do not swerve or turn your Viza™ scooter at high
speeds because you risk the possibility of a fall.
•Driving at a lower r.p.m. will decrease noise as well
as vibration and increase the joy of riding.
•The handle bar is designed for balancing and
turning. Do not apply excessive force on it by
pushing or pulling. If the handle bar feels loose,
stop driving and confirm steering column lock
status.

•You can ride your Viza™ scooter either standing
or sitting (with the seat assembly attached). You
can also stand with the seat in place, but it is safer to
remove the seat when standing.
TRANSPORTING YOUR VIZA™ SCOOTER
Your Viza™ scooter is portable and can be transported
by simply removing the seat and folding the steering col-
umn down. It is compact enough to easily fit in the
truck of a car, but, as a safety precaution, drain all fuel
from the gas tank prior to putting scooter in a vehicle.
You may also walk or ride your Viza™ without the
engine running just as you would ride a non-motorized
scooter. It is designed to move freely!

MAINTAINANCE SCHEDULE
DAILY CHECK
REGULAR CHECK – (Every 50 hours of use)
•Check all screws, bolts, and fasteners for tightness.
•Check brake and throttle cable adjustment.
•Tire pressure should be inflated to specifications printed
on tire sidewalls of your scooter. Front and rear tires
have different specifications.
•Check tires for puncture or damage. Repair or replace as
necessary.
•Check for proper function of the steering column lock.
mechanism to ensure that it latches securely.
•Check belt tension. Adjust as necessary.
•Air filter: Open the carburetor filter cover. Take out the
air filter. Clean with mild soap and water. Soak in
lubricant oil. Squeeze out excess lubricant and
reassemble.
•Spark plug: Remove carbon build up between electrodes
and adjust the gap to .024-.028 inches (.60-.70 mm).
Install spark plug carefully by hand to avoid cross-
threading. Tighten with plug wrench (1/8 - 1/4 turn after
tightened by hand).
•Fuel filter: Open up fuel tank cap. Take out fuel filter
inside tank using a bent wire. Shake filter in clean
gasoline to clean impurities. Reassemble.
•Check suspension for proper function and adjustment.
•Check front and rear disc brakes for proper adjustment
and function.
•Check centrifugal clutch pads on engine for wear and
replace as needed.

STORAGE PROCEDURE
If you plan to not use your Viza™ scooter for more than
a month, it is advisable that you perform the following
procedures:
•Empty the fuel tank and start engine to completely
remove all gasoline.
•Remove spark plug and inject a small amount of
engine oil (4-5 drops) through spark plug hole and
pull starting handle 2-3 times. Reassemble the spark
plug and slowly pull starting handle and stop at a
position where it takes the most force to pull the
handle.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Generally it is much harder to start the engine in a colder
climate, or if your Viza™ scooter has not been used for a
long period of time. Check the following:
ENGINE WILL NOT START
•Check the spark plug and wiring for connection.
•Check fuel mix ratio, or for clogged gas filter.
•If you attempt to start the engine too many times, there
might be excess fuel in the cylinder. Remove spark plug
and allow excess fuel to evaporate. Reassemble.
•Check spark plug gap and presence of carbon buildup.
•Check spark by removing from engine, connecting wire to
plug, then set plug on top of engine with plug threads
touching head of engine for grounding. Then, pull starter
cord and look at plug to see of spark is produced. If no
spark is seen, you may have an electrical problem with
your motor. Consult a Viza™ service technician.

BRAKE IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY
•In the event your brake cable becomes loose and gap
becomes greater, readjust to set closer gap and tighten.
•Check to see if your front brake pads or rear brake pads
are worn out due to extended use. Replace with new parts
as necessary.
•If water gets in the brake pads or on the brake disc,
dehydrate by applying brake softly and briefly while
riding.
