2 Connection as 5.1 USB audio
●Connect Headphones output (see picture above) to golden jack of
Headphones (item #2, page 2)
●Connect Sensor input to silver jack of Headphones (item #2)
●Connect USB to power PC by using USB cable (item #3)
●Put installation CD (or DVD) to PC and install all components, see
chapter 4
●Start with Diagnostic Tool, see chapter 5
●Note that device support USB microphone as well

3 Connection as 5.0 Dolby Surround
●Connect Headphones output (see picture above) to golden jack of
Headphones (item #2, page 2)
●Connect Sensor input to silver jack of Headphones (item #2)
●Connect USB to power supply (item #4)
●Connect Line-in to headphone or line-out output of the source (TV, Xbox,
Playstation etc) (item #5). If you use line-out you can use volume control
(item #7) for adjusting the sound volume.

4 Installation CD
●Installation CD is needed for 5.1 USB audio functionality with Windows
XP and Vista
●Setup will start automatically when autorun of Windows is enabled

●At the end of the installation the program asks to connect the DSP unit.
●When done press continue and it will open the Diagnostic Tool

●When hardware is correctly set up the LED in the from panel are all
green

●If you are using Windows Vista please check the “Vista Fix” locating in
lower left corner (A)
●Click channels Front Left – Center -Front Left -Rear Right – Rear Left
and verify that sound is moving around your head (B)
●Find suitable head model by listening test (C)

6 Troubleshooting
●Installation CD works only with Windows at the moment. Mac and Linux
will be supported in the future
●Some audio/video players do not support 5.1 USB audio. The installation
CD includes old type player that supports 5.1 audio with DVDs without
additional video codecs. We have found newest Media Player to support
5.1 but it requires third party codec pack such as FFDSHOW in order to
have all video formats supported by using DVD as source of the media.
●Some PCs do not switch to USB audio automatically. It may be needed
to select it manually via Control panel # Audio settings
●The LEDs of DSP unit in 5.0 Dolby Surround mode are from top to down
Green, Green , Red.
●Very few games support USB 5.1 audio at the moment. Use 5.0 Dolby
Surround mode and connect DSP unit to Headphone or Line-out
connector of the game console as described in Chapter 3.
●Firmware of DSP unit is done by using Diagnostic Tool (see below)
