Thecleaner is fordomestic use onlyand has beendesigned to ensuremaximum
safetyand performance. Pleasefollow these simpleprecautions:

Avoidtugging on themains cable andcheck cable regularlyfor damage
Note: Do not use cleaner with a damaged cable.
If damaged the cable should be replaced at a service centre
Theplug must beremoved from thesocket outlet before cleaningor

Getting Started
1 Checkthat dustbag isin place.
2 Insertthe hose untilthe catches clickto engage (presscatches inwards to
release).
3 Attachextension tubes tothe hose handleand floor nozzleby twisting
together(twist and pullapart to dismantle).
4 Extendthe cable andconnect to mains,ensuring the cableis not twisted
beforeuse (Press handleto rewind cable.Please hold theplug to preventit
strikingyou).
5 Pressthe on/off buttonto start thecleaner.
6 Toincrease/decrease suction, adjustthe rolling wheelcontrol (U2120,
U2125).Suction can alsobe regulated onthe hose handleby opening/closing
thevent.

Getting the best results
Carpets: Usefloor nozzle withlever in thisposition (U2120, U2125).
Hardfloors: Use floor nozzle withlever in this position (U2120, U2125).
Loose rugs/curtains/lightweight fabrics: Reducethe suction power.
Usethe floor nozzlefor loose rugsand the upholsterynozzle for
curtains,cushions etc.
Confinedareas:Usethecrevicenozzlefor tight corners and radiators etc.

Dustbag indicator and changing the dustbag
Forpeak performance thedustbag should bechanged when full.The
mechanicaldustbag indicator windowwill gradually turnred when filling
andcompletely red whenfull.
Ifthe dust bagshould get brokenin the cleaner,take cleaner toservice
centrefor cleaning. Thisis not coveredby the guarantee.
Thedustbag full indicatormay signify thatthe bag isblocked
(occasionallycaused by finerdust) which willcause loss ofsuction and
mayresult in overheating.If this occurschange the bageven if itis not
full. DONOT VACUUM VERYFINE DUST (PLASTER,CEMENT, COLD CINDERS.. .).
Tocheck the dustbag,the cleaner mustbe switched on,with all
attachmentsconnected but thenozzle does nothave to beplaced on the
floor.
To change the dustbag:
7 Openthe cleaner cover.
8 Liftand pull thesliding tab toremove the dustbagfrom its holder.
Insertthe new dustbagby sliding thebag slots intothe holder. Close
thecover.
We recommend the dustbag is changed after using a carpet cleaning
powder or if there is a bad smell from the cleaner.
Note: Only use original dustbag and filters

Dustbag safety device
Toavoiddamaging the cleaner, do not useit without a dustbag. A safety
deviceisfitted which prevents the cover closingwithout a dustbag in
place.Donot attempt to force cover shut.
Changing/cleaning the filters
Neveruse the cleanerwithout the filtersin place.
Thefiltersshouldbechanged/cleanedapproximately every fifth dustbag.
To clean/change Motor Protection filter:
7-8 Openthe cleaner cover,and remove thedustbag.
9 Removethe filter unit,rinse the filterunder warm tapwater only and
drythe filter completely(9/a, 9/b). Theoriginal filtering
performanceis now restored.Replace the unitback into thecleaner
andclose cover ensuringit is securelyin place andthe cover is
properlyclosed (8, 7).
Latestevery second yearreplace the oldfilter with anew one.
To clean/change Micro filter:
10 Pressthe catch toopen the filtercover.
11 Removethe filter unit,rinse the filterunder warm tapwater only and
drythe filter completely(11/a, 12). Theoriginal filtering
performanceis now restored.Replace the unitback into thecleaner
andclose cover ensuringit is properlyfastened.
Latestevery second yearreplace the oldfilter with anew one.
Troubleshooting
Power: Ifthe electric powerdoes not comeon, disconnect frommains
andcheck plugs, cableand fuses whereappropriate (8).
Thecleaner may switchitself off inevent of severeblockage or
excessivelydirty filters. Insuch cases, disconnectfrom mains andallow
tocool for 30minutes. Clear blockageand/or replace filter(s)and restart.
Theclearing of blockedhoses is notcovered by theguarantee. To avoid
blockagesand maintain suctionefficiency, the floornozzles should be
cleanedregularly using thehose handle.
Water: Ifwater is suckedinto the cleanerthe motor mustbe changed ata
servicecentre. This isnot covered bythe guarantee.
