Product Overview
The VOX-100 is a 70V 100 Watts wall-mounted Telephone Paging Amplifier that offers the most cost-effective solution
that includes a range of most-needed input features like music and paging for medium to large-sized installations.
The volume, bass and treble controls independently adjust the sound quality for the music and paging interface. This
flexibility allows the audio signals from each input to provide the best possible acoustic experience.
The VOX-100 amplifier includes a built-in night ringer that can be triggered by either a standard telephone (analog) ring
signal or an external contact closure.
Telephone Port
The VOX-100 will sense the telephone system's dry relay contact closure in order to trigger a page. If the telephone
system doesn’t provide a dry relay contact to indicate when a page is in progress, the VOX-100 can instead detect an
audio signal on the page port using the VOX detection circuit.
Night Ringer
The Night Ringer generates a telephone ringtone over the speakers. It can be activated by a ring signal from a 90V
telephone ring signal or from a contact closure supplied by the telephone system’s dry contact. The background music is
muted while the Night Ringer is in progress. Furthermore, the Night Ringer and paging have the same priority and as a
result both will be heard simultaneously.

Installation
Using the provided screws, mount the amplifier on a wall or backboard (plywood should have 3/8” minimum thickness)
capable of securely supporting its weight.
Make sure no radiators or other heat producing elements are nearby. Also make sure that the area behind the amplifier
is not obstructed (allows a clear airflow) and that the air slots are not covered.

The VOX-RMK (Rack Mounting Kit, sold separately) is required for mounting the VOX-100 onto a 19’’ rack.
IMPORTANT: To comply with NRTL/C safety regulations, a minimum 12 inches clearance must be maintained above the
unit.

Configuration
Dip Switch
VOX Enable: When set to ON, the VOX circuit will monitor for an audio signal on the TEL port in order to detect when to
switch into page mode. When set to OFF, only the MUSIC MUTE input will allow the amplifier to switch into in Page
mode.
Tel Off-Hook: ON position applies a real telephone off-hook condition on the TEL INPUT. Some PBX page ports (e.g.,
Avaya) requires this condition. This feature is to be used instead of installing an external Line-Matching Transformer
that only simulates an Off-Hook.
Ring Caden e: ON position provides the night ringer audio ring cadence of 2 sec. ON / 4 sec. OFF when a dry contact is
applied to Contact Ring. This option is useful for telephone systems that do not provide a cadenced contact closure
when the night ringer is ringing.

Operation
LED Indicators
The VOX-100 has 3 different LEDs to indicate various statuses and conditions.
The table below lists the different LED indicators and describes their function for a particular operating condition.
LED Indicator Description
Power Indicates that the amplifier is powered.
Peak Level Indicates when the speaker output signal level is approaching its maximum level. This indicator should
flash intermittently upon loud peaks only. If it illuminates steadily then there may be some distortion. In
this case, decrease the volume control for the appropriate input until the indicator flashes intermittently.
Fault Indicates a fault condition of the power amplifier.
Telephone ccess
The operator can access the VOX-100 via the page port of a telephone system.

5 YE RS Limited Warranty
VOXPRIME warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship during normal usage for a
period of five (5) years after shipment of the unit from our warehouse. VOXPRIME will repair or replace, free of charge,
a product should it, upon examination, be proved defective and under warranty. VOXPRIME reserves the right to make
the final decision as to whether there is an actual defect in the material and/or craftsmanship, and whether or not the
product is under warranty.
This warranty shall not apply to any VOXPRIMEproduct that has been subject to misuse, neglect, accident, or shows
evidence of having been used in violation of operating instructions. This warranty shall not apply to any VOXPRIME
products that have been repaired or altered outside of our factory.
This warranty covers bench repairs only. Any repairs must be made at the shop or place designated in writing by
VOXPRIME. VOXPRIME will not be responsible for any costs incurred involving on-site calls.
All implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, are
limited in duration to five (5) years after shipment of the unit from our warehouse. In no event will VOXPRIME be
responsible for damages resulting from the use of this product.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for Class B Digital Device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment
generates and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions included, may
cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception - which can be determined by turning
the equipment off and on - the operator can attempt remove the interference by employing one or more of the following measures:
•Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
•Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver
•Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected;
